I went to the site you mentioned to me on the video and after I select my carrier, on the next drop down menu it asked for the manufacturer and I do not see samsung.... what I need to do from here.

I had asked T mobile to give me the unlock code for my LGG2 phone (I,was in Colombia, S. America) and they refused. Oh never mind that I am under NO CONTRACT and that own my own phone.
Had to do research on Google on how to unlock my phone and did it under a different company via their app. Easy as pie just like you had shown. So there!! T mobile!!!

Bought a code [another supplier than UnlockRiver]. Entered and failed twice. Now the phone threatens me with only one more attempt.
Questions:
After rebooting with my AT&T original sim then restarting again with another carrier SIM will it still only leave me one more attempt? Or do I again have 3 tries?
If it locks wont AT&T customer service get me back to functioning ?
IMEI is the 15 digit , without the "/ 08" part?
The screen for code entry was different from the here shown dialog. Mine Shows my home background, and asks for a sim pin. Was this due to having performed the OTA lollipop update?
Normally you get 10 attempts. The sim lock is different than the unlock for the phone. You only get those tries and that is it in total. If it is an att phone then use any other brand sim and it should automatically pop up when you boot the phone.
Still had a Verizon Sim from my previous Note2. After my first failure, it showed only two attempts remaining. I assumed I had entered the code poorly so I retried, with it then threatening only one remaining attempt. A I powered down, going back to AT&T SIM.
"Normally" leaves me nervous as the phone says one of 3 attempts remains. So my questions still remain. Will AT&T CS bail me out if there is only one remaining failure, post reboots?
CS - threatens that they may not be able to help if locked up by attempted use of an externally supplied code.. Maybe..Maybe not..

If the final attempt fails then you won't be able to unlock it without rooting and unlocking that way. You would be able to use it still with whoever it is locked too though.
thanks. But in my call to CS they left me with the 'threat' that using an external vendor code could lock it beyond their capacity to unlock, and put back on AT&T network.. Probably false, but a threat used to keep customers in line, and reduce their liability.
Dan Hoover Let me begin by saying that I am a moron, but this contingency is worth adding to the basic instruction set: If the SIM for the other network is itself locked then the first code requested on the phone is to unlock the sim. Then as in the video procedure the phone requests an unlock code for its own sim-locking.
I had an old VZ SIM, that I had generated[and forgotten that I had] a lock code for so that its theft and reuse would be difficult. One could move it from phone to phone but only after entering the PIN code.
Unlock River only offers Sprint code for IPhone only. Is the another website I can use? Attempting to unlock to switch from Sprint to T-Mobile

If your phone is paid for then sprint will unlock it for you. Usually you have to go through spring to unlock phones tied to them.

i bought a note 4 from saudi in jan 2015 , but indian sim do not work, ....in the box there is a pamphlet which says to unlock i must call (in/out) for 5 minutes...but i dont have a arabian sim, i contacted some local phone shops , they asked rs 3000 to unlock, i did not want to spend more money on a legaly bought phone...so i called samsung india, they said i have to contact saudi samsung, so i emailed samsung saudi, email is in arabic, but we can type in english....they repied with an email asking for model,imei, bill photo,...i sent it and they replied with the unlock codes ...and it worked

+stephen gibson if it is actually a Verizon phone then it should just work. You can try APN settings. Just do a search for that and Verizon and you'll see them.

My phone does not populate the window where you input the unlock code. it is unlocked by sprint BTW. I got the code from sprint. do you know another way of entering it, or the reason this is happening?

Since you are on T-Mobile already there is no need to unlock it to use it on the same carrier. You only need to unlock it if you want to use it on a different carrier.
What if it was blocked because another user didn't finish paying it off and now I want to use it?

You have to contact sprint. There is no other way to unlock sprint phones at this time.

Yes. Since your phone is on Verizon it is already unlocked. Just swap the sim and then you may have to update the apn for your carrier. I have a video on that as well.

This sucks...it is supposed to be for a Samsung phone and the only two phone manufacturers shown on Unlock River are Iphone or Blackberry...you can't select any others....and the video is for Samsung....What a joke.

I call Samsung they can't do it ether. OMG I am stuck. I have a unlocked Verizon Galaxy Note 4..when I put a Verizon SIM card in it only works/runs on 3g..when I put in T-Mobile SIM it only works/runs H+...neither will let the phone update or down load apps.. please help!!!

I've had the phone checked by Verizon and 2 cell repairs companys and nothing.. phone still runs on 3g with Verizon SIM in the phone and H+ for T-Mobile..it won't update and takes forever to down load any apps..today it jumped to 4g but before anything could up date it went back to 3g.. please help if you can.
+stephen gibson that has to do with the supported bands of the phone. The Verizon version may not fully support all LTE bands of T-Mobile or ATT so HSPA+ may be the best you can get. If you know it's supports the correct bands then it is a matter of your APN settings and configuring those for your carrier.

Your apn settings for mms is where I would check first for picture messages. As for the update, you can do it manually if you are not on their network
I had tmobile give me the apn settings and a new sim still not working. But I looked online on how to do it manually and can't find a clear answer. Any suggestions? Or have you done it yet on the Galaxy Note you unlocked in the video?
Danielle Ashly To update a phone manually can be a bit tricky if you have never done it before. I would watch a couple video, (some I have done on different phone) and see if you would be ok doing that. If not, I would recommend against doing it manually as if you do it wrong it may not work and could harm your phone. As for APN settings, do a search for T-Mobile LTE APN.
zollotech Your picture messaging does not work because your APN settings are not right. Call your provider and they will walk you through the APN settings.
Ok I'll double check on the APN settings again. And for the update I saw on an article about doing it through Odin. It states that it will work on any international galaxy note 4 but not carrier branded would you recommend trying that or should I follow the instructions in your other video about updating manually? Or is there another way? Sorry for all the questions I tried to do my research before asking

Dorian Obando Gomez go to your settings. Then security, then screen lock. You will have to enter your password and from there you can remove it.

Versions phones are already unlocked. Put in the T-Mobile SIM card and then setup the APN. That's all you have to do.

That's B.S. Sir (bravo sierra) Not if you owe money with verizon they will lock your phone. I switched to Metro pcs cause VZN kept jacking my bill up anyway when I went to MPCS they looked at my VZN note 4 said it was unlocked said sim card would work and they were right. i popped in my my MPCS sim card everything worked just fine untile 3 hours later S.O.B's at VZN locked out the sim card and now it just say's No network data I have watched 40 videos now of crap crap crap info *# codes do not work this guy suggest a video that Only supports Iphones or Blackberrys Uggg to many know it alls who don't know Jack Sh*t on youtube.

Unlocking us nothing to do with updates or bloat ware. You still should be able to do updates, but depending on the brand you may have to root it to get rid of the installed bloat ware.

The note has to be unlocked and then support the cdma and LTE bands. Unless it is from Verizon it probably does not support those.
