    3 things I want back:
    a) easily replacable batteries
    b) micro SD card support
    c) 3.5mm headphone jack
    Can't wait for the EU laws to effect thr whole world lol

    • @mdh1154
      @mdh1154 หลายเดือนก่อน +20

      a is understandable but b,c are just useless. we already have many accessories to do that and not worth the space to add to the phone

    • @DisplayLine6.13.9
      @DisplayLine6.13.9 หลายเดือนก่อน +84

      @@mdh1154 A 3.5 mm jack gives you compatibility with all your older audio stuff its way worth having. As for SD cards I'm sure that some people need that storage. Tbh I would put a USB port on them if I could.

    • @can_with_beans
      @can_with_beans หลายเดือนก่อน +52

      @mdh1154 b and c are not useless. Storage should never be a question for expandability, eventually we will need more given how large photos are becoming in terms of file-size. The 3.5mm jack is also important because it is a universal audio port that makes life much much easier for people who use it. Yes, the average consumer probably doesn't need the 3.5mm audio jack, but even technologically illiterate people need more storage.

    We experienced a lot of changes in smartphones from 2015 to 2018. Type C became popular, full-screen displays became popular, notches and punch holes appeared, and more than two cameras began to be installed. However, smartphones have barely changed since 2019. I think these changes will happen again in 2025
    We can feel the changes right away, such as weight reduction and increased battery life with silicon-carbon batteries, thinner foldable phones, and mobile APs that achieve crazy performance using custom microarchitectures like Qualcomm's Oryon. In particular, the Android camp caught up with Apple's AP performance in 9 years.

      they throttle to 65% specially when outside or places that doesn't have aircon.
      despite that "vapor chamber giz or whatever cooler is that" in reality both phones will run at 40c to 43c at 30 to 40 fps in heavy games.
      this also reflects when recording in crowded events where its hot and you're recording a video at 60fps 4k for morthan 4mins and its also bright in the area soo you also need to brighten the screen. at both can't even go full 60 fps constantly.
      for example i'm shooting a video for my kids dance and its outside at 10AM. when i check the video in pc its dipping 40 FPS. its around 55 to 60 when i'm recording in a cool place like malls.
      btw normal ambient temperature here is around 30c to 40c outside.

    Snapdragon 8 elite gen 1 uses a LOT of power and heats up way too quickly, I dont think thats efficient. The only phones so far that are able to actually use it while being good is the redmagic 10 pro and it still uses a ton of power. (The reason why it has been able to use the sd8e1 is because it has a built it fan) with rog phones it quickly heats up to 47+ degrees celcius and when it reaches 50°c (it will because of the sd8e1 being bad at staying cool) the performance just gets destroyed

      @Techsnowball 😉 there's been progress in that field lately, and I think that in the next 5 years we'll begin to see the first commercial optical processors.
      The mind boggling thing about those processors, is that they operate in the terahertz frequencies.
      Imagine in 5 years time having a pc/phone 1000x more powerful that the one you have today, and using only a fraction of the energy.
      I'm telling you, in 10 years the world look nothing like today

    True. I think the pairing of a snapdragon 8 elite and a larger battery e.g in terms of gaming since a more powerful processor is More battery draining I don't think gamers will really see battery improvements, only if the a snapdragon 8 Gen 2 had a 7000mAh battery . Greet Benji for me

    • @Techsnowball
      @Techsnowball  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Technically gaming will still see an improvement, as I mentioned earlier, 8w on older CPU, and 5.9w on new CPU when playing a game, in locked fps scenarios you will see a huge battery increase.

    To be honest, I liked the phones to be somewhat bulky cuz at least they be structurally strong and you can feel a bit of the weight, like I bought a Poco F6 and it's really light that is weird, plus they can cram more stuff into it

    there is steam os, it runs on linux, android is based on linux, we just need someone to take steam os and x86 emulation and strap them together to have the ultimate compatibility/emulation layer to play steam games on a phone !!!!! it would be the dream !!!!!

    8:07,xiaomi,oneplus dont have flat screen.Their screen is micro quad curved display.Which is a nice blend of Curved and Flat screen.It will give u flat looking panel but has slight curves which makes them looks premium.Fun fact,these types of displays dont have mistouch issues like in curved screen

    Winlator isn't an emulator, it's based on Wine (which is also behind proton on the Steam Deck), which translates windows system calls to linux syscalls etc, kind of like "Google translate" which doesn't always work perfect but gets there :)
