Where is this humanity? Would she have told the Jews who fled Europe or those who survived the Nazi concentration camps that they must forget what happened and not return to their homes in Europe, and that they were also prohibited from prosecuting Nazi leaders and that they were not to receive any compensation from Germany after the fall of Nazism?? Not even the Nazis were as insolent as this woman.
@@alimo8502 That is exactly what happened to Jewish people post ww2, they were displaced and were not allowed to enter many countries including Britain. The Neuremburg trials and compensation didn't start until years later in the 1950's. Palestine, specifically Gaza started a war with Israel, and Israel, as stated by International law, if they win, has absolutely every right to aquire that territory, as they should, despite them saying they don't want it. Most of the population 81% of Gaza come from refugees. A good proportion of them from Egypt and Jordon, and most of them from 1930's and 40's onwards. They are not a homogenous "ethnic" or "cultural" group, they are a mixed group of ethnic Arabs who share a "political" ideology. You should understand that fact and make the distinction more than you do, because to not acknowledge it, means you building your narrative on a fallacy, as their propoganda machine has done, saying that they are the indigenous people of Israel is simply not true. Not even close. After this is over, it will take negotiations with those nations to take some of these people in. I dare say the international community will also take them in. My country has already accepted 865 visa applications. It is very clear, they will NOT make a peace treaty, and likely never KEEP a peace treaty, and it is absolutely unfair and unsustainable for the Israeli people after decades of attacks, violence, stabbings, suicide bombings and now this massacre, to be expected to live with that threat into all perpetuity. It would be far better for Palestinians, instead of being under the yolk of evil, self serving men, who keep Palestinians poor, wanton and in a continual state of maryrdom to achieve their own self serving ECONOMIC and POLITICAL agenda, a chance to assimilate and prosper elsewhere. It would be better for them, for their sons, their women and better for their children, who are their future. Somewhere better, where they aren't force fed an ideology of hate from birth, and somewhere where they can heal and achieve self determination on their own merits, instead of sucking at the teat of welfare as they have and do for decades, and somewhere where thry aren't expected to die for their government. I'm sorry but she is right. You should perhaps seek out Palestinian opinions outside Israel and Gaza, people that know Hamas, and lived with Hamas and now live in Europe or the states and are thriving prospering. They have a different take on it, and their stories are worth listening to.
They won't. Once people are dug into what they think they think, it is almost impossible to get them off of it. People do not want to admit they are wrong. It is the reason most Trump supporters dig in and find every excuse to keep supporting him and now we know that people on the radical left are cut from the same cloth. Which, as a proud Jewish progressive, breaks my heart.
Sorry what I should have said was that this lady not only understands the problem but has explained it perfectly. The Palestinians are a disgruntled lost people who never existed before - she explains this brilliantly
I think it's because we want to believe the best for them. We feel sorry for them, without knowing the full context. Then we pay ourselves on the back for being such a good empathetic person. :(
Everywhere I go in super uber 'progressive-land', it's "Free Palestine". Online the Jew h8ters are very clear (they often say they h8te Zionism, not Jews) that they are for the destruction of Israel - that everyone will have peace only then. It's showing people why the destruction of Israel will make the ME, world worse not better that is key.
This is because we want peace, so we naturally assume that the enemy also wants peace. But, this is not always the case. The enemy wants the destruction of the other we need to accept that.
If you ever watch news in the West they never ever mention the context. They never say that 80-90% of Palestinians prefer the Right of Return (turning Israel into an Arab state) over peace and statehood. It's possible that they never bothered to research the conflict and so just have a very shallow understanding and think that Palestinians are merely "victims" and "oppressed." But that's a failure on their part as journalists.

An excerpt from the book by Hadrian Relandi "A Tour and Census of Israel 1695" In Gaza for example, lived approximately 550 people, fifty percent Jews and the rest mostly Christians. The Jews grew and worked in their flourishing vineyards, olive tree orchards and wheat fields (remember Gush Katif?) and the Christians worked in commerce and transportation of produce and goods. Tiberius and Tzfat were mostly Jewish and except of mentioning fishermen fishing in Lake Kinneret - the Lake of Galilee - a traditional Tiberius occupation, there is no mention of their occupations. A town like Um el-Phahem was a village where ten families, approximately fifty people in total, all Christian, lived and there was also a small Maronite church in the village (The Shehadah family). No Palestinian is interested in a two-state solution. They are interested in one Palestinian state while eradication Israel. You don't need to dig deeper into it. All you have to do is ask them. The Western world is wrong to think that Hamas are "rotten apples" among peace-loving citizens. Unfortunately this is light years away from reality. The citizens of Gaza are born, educated and raised on a tradition of hatred of Jews and sanctification of death. It takes a whole generation of re-education for there to be hope for the Middle East.

They are interested in a two-state solution. Hamas’s updated charter says as much. However, the current Israeli government is not receptive to this. It is interested in restoring the biblical land of Israel and the only way to achieve that is to push the Palestinians out.
@@luvitluvitbaby Only 28% of Palestinians support a 2SS according to a poll by the Palestinian Policy Center, in a survey taken in June, 2023. When the time comes, we can get the Arab nations to join us for the final blow against Israel." ~ Yasser Arafat
There has never been a Palestinian State. Why should Israel unilaterally create a Palestinian State within its borders, when Palestinians currently have not requested their own state within the land of Israel? The Palestinians were given an enormous opportunity to demonstrate the ultimate exercise in self-government in 2005. Israel withdrew every last vestige of Jewish and Israeli government presence from Gaza, leaving the Palestinians to govern Gaza as they saw fit. This was the ultimate occasion to demonstrate to Israel and the world, the Palestinian desire to exercise self-determination in an independent state, willing to live in harmony with neighbouring Israel, with no desire to be a continuous threat to the security of Israel and its citizens. It would not be unreasonable, to assume that the Palestinians are not willing to take up the mantle of an independent Palestinian State, that would not be a threat to the security and well being of Israel and its citizens.
@@OpinionGuy-cq8hp Correct, it was held in trust by the allied powers after the defeat and collapse of The Ottoman Empire. The Jews were desirous and in desperate need of self determination after 1500 years of suffering persecution and discrimination. In good faith the Jews consented to a substantially smaller state than originally mandated, while the Arabs were more concerned with completing what Nazi Germany had initiated, than pursuing self determination. Even today their focus is to destroy the State of Israel, and annihilate the Jews. So much so that they are not even pursuing self determination through a two-state solution, with the goal of living peacefully alongside the Jewish nation.
In peacetime, more than 110,000 Palestinians held permits to work in Israel or Israeli settlements, Not no more as it's been confirmed many with work permits used their positions to carry out, Hamas reconnaissance. That says it all
Why do they keep talking about a two state solution? I understand it’s politically correct, but for what purpose when they rejected it for the last 75 years it just doesn’t make any sense.
You’re right, a 2-state solution is evidently not what Palestinians want. Politicians need to take a courageous stance away from old, failed policy-making.

Radical left in the West supports all radical movements, including radical Islamists like Hamas. This phenomenon is not new, but it`s history has not been handled in the media. Radical Islam refers to a set of extremist beliefs, behaviors and ideology within Islam. The Western radical left started to cooperate closely with Palestinian terrorist organisations already during the1960`s.The Soviet Union financed them both. This started first in France, West Germany and Italy, but spreaded fast to all Western countries. So Palestinian terrorist organisations and the Western radical left have cooperated already close to 60 years. This is why I am not surprised about the support Hamas gets from today`s Western radical left.
Why do people always need to make such broad statements? I don't know what media you consume but I can point you to a number of major publications that talk about this. For example, in Germany the connections between the radical left group RAF to Palestinian militants is well-documented through bestselling books like "Der Bader-Meinhof-Komplex". A very insightful analysis and presentation. Thank you Einat. However, unlike the examples of Germany and Japan, the Palestinians are not an isolated from the sentiments that prevail amongst general populace of the Muslim world - which in itself Anti-Semitic. The assumption here is that a de-radicalised Palestine will lead to a change in attitude towards Jews within the broader Muslim world. How can we get this to change? In my view we have address the challenge on both fronts. This will require an alliance of moderate Sunni states to re-educate their own public and possibly lead the way for Palestinian de-radicalisation. This can’t be left to western countries to lead.

Ask them if they can give you the name of a prime minister, or king, or president of Palestine before 1948? 2. Can you give me the name of a "Palestinian" historical figure from 1000 years ago, 500 years, or even 200 years ago? 3. Can you tell me what the word "Palestine" means? 4. There is no letter 'P' in Arabic, the correct word is palleshyttina, the Romans called the Land of Israel by this name because the Jews rebelled against the Romans. The Arabs say falestin or flistin, or filistin, and if they speak in English then they say balastine or balistin In conclusion: no one has any answer to all the questions. There is a Palestine soccer team from 1939 that is all Jewish. The currency that existed here at the time of the British was the Bank of Palestine Eretz Israel, which was a Jewish bank. I don't even have these expectations. It will be enough for me that they will have a will to leave peacefully next to each other/ with each other and to recognize the right of Israel to exist, meaning the right of the Jewish people to have a state/country in the land (historical connection and considering Balfour's declaration, the persecutions of Jews, the holocaust etc.). She tells them to forget what happened in 1948 and refuses them to return to their homes. She wants them to give up their identity and integrate into other societies, and whoever does not accept that will face the same fate as the Japanese, and all of that while she speaks about humanity with passion.
World must listen to this woman
The world has listened to story telling for 60,000 years. It's time people do their own thinking.
All these years the Palestinians said one thing clearly - and the whole West, including The Israeli left, heard something else
Yes all these years the stateless Arabs have said one thing clearly........that they want to destroy Israel.
Good that you were able to present this information.

@@timstaplemanAs Mrs. Wilf said, it is painful to let go of your delusions. Keep on struggling, the pain is worth it, if it leads to the truth in the end! You can do it!
Israeli officials have come out and said they have never offered Palestinians a state. It’s always been something far less than a state with the idea of state at some point in the future. If Gaza has full control, how was Israel able to cut off all its food, electricity and power??? Do Palestinians have citizenship. They literally have no rights.
@@luvitluvitbaby How stupid to expect Israel to supply their sworn enemy with water, electricity, food and even jobs in the first place. But Israel did it anyway. They still allow humanitarian aid into Gaza every day, which gets stolen by hamas as soon as it crosses the border. Before the war hamas undug the waterpipes (paid for by EU and US) and made rockets out of it. Elected Gazan leaders hamas are unable to provide anything to their population, except expensive tunnels (only for hamas), starvation, poor health system, unemployment, hatred and violence. They kept Gaza 100% dependend on Israel despiting getting showered with aid money from East (iran) and west (EU, US). It is hamas fault. And then hamas started a war. And now they are complaining that the war destroys their infrastructure. If you do not like the consequences of war then do not start one!
@luvitluvitbaby It would be cool if the Palestinians would stop killing Israelis, would stop all terrorism, would stop all hate-mongering against Israel, acknowledge that the 1948-1949 was OVER, would acknowledge and accept Israel's existence as a Jewish state (my God, this would be the bare minimum!), and accept the deals of 2000 and 2008.
Before you put pressure to make concessions, you need a negotiating partner. That is the whole point of her talk. Until now, Palestinians have been led to believe that if they wait long enough (Fatah faction) or fight hard enough (Hamas), they can have it all. Until the Palestinian "street" accepts the notion of the state of Israel you have no negotiating partners.
Why did the US and Isra Hell veto every proposal made by themselves?

The book she wrote about her insights concerning the 'Oslo Accords' reminded me of an interesting book written by a journalist of the New York Times magazine that was sent to the Middle East. She was sent by the editors of magazine to Israel to write about 'the oppressed Palestinians', knowing that she was having a pro-Palestinian agenda.
After a short period of time staying in Israel, she went back to the USA. She returned the advance payment she received for the mission she was appointed to and started a 7 years exploration work about the roots of the conflict. She made a comprehensive research that included the history of Jewish settlements in the land of Israel throughout the many centuries that passed since the time the Romans named it 'Palestine'.
The book named 'From Times Immemorial' and the author was Joan Peters

The ONLY counterpoint I will make is that a large or significant number of Arabs in newly formed Israel were asked to stay and I think sign peace agreements with Israel, many did so.
I read that when the Arab High Command asked them to leave their villages, it was NOT for their safety but because they were considered TRAITORS for not carrying out sabotage and injury on their Jewish neighbors.
If Hamas wins, THEY LOSE. There's 2 million Arab-Israeli citizens who would likely face "extreme punishment", along with Jewish people, and the Left would not care.
An excerpt from the book by Hadrian Relandi "A Tour and Census of Israel 1695"
In Gaza for example, lived approximately 550 people, fifty percent Jews and the rest mostly Christians.

The Western world is wrong to think that Hamas are "rotten apples" among peace-loving citizens. Unfortunately this is light years away from reality.

Wasn’t an Israel state pre 1948 either. Whether it was Palestine or not it wasn’t belonging to Jews
In peacetime, more than 110,000 Palestinians held permits to work in Israel or Israeli settlements,

THIS SPEACH IS SO FULL OF HISTORY AND HISTORICAL IMPORTANCE THAT IT SHOULD HAVE SUBTITLES AND/ OR VERBAL TRANSLATION! IT NEEDS TO BE KNOWN! Her display of facts and argumentation are the most honest , clear ,reasonable and logical of speeches .
An absolute legend!thank you!
Thank you. God bless you, Dr. Wilf.
And after presenting the evolution to current situation, she does something wonderful .....she provides THE ANSWER!
Every word 100% God bless Israel 🇮🇱
The whole problem starts with a big lie, who do they call themselves "Palestinians"?!
There is not and never was a Palestinian people, here is the proof: 3 questions: 1.
The Arabs say falestin or flistin, or filistin, and if they speak in English then they say balastine or balistin
In conclusion: no one has any answer to all the questions.
There is a Palestine soccer team from 1939 that is all Jewish. The currency that existed here at the time of the British was the Bank of Palestine Eretz Israel, which was a Jewish bank. And he issued a currency called Israel Palestine Lira. Today the bank is called Bank Leumi. National Bank.
Can a person be Ashkenazi and Semitic?
They are Jewish, that is all. Like Sunni and Shia are both Muslim, so don't split hairs and deviate from the reality. You know full well they were in a diaspora@@devenbrown761
Superb! The most insightful account of the conflict I’ve had ever heard. Bravo
A really good and eloquent lecture!
I wish more and more people will listen to this with open minds.
By the way, even if you can find few Palestinians to say that Israel has a right to exist and all the other things mentioned in the lecture, it is still insufficient because it will be very few of them and these very few don't decide what is to happen and they don't design the opinions of the rest of the population.
First they have to find their origin and try to connect them back. They have to learn their own history in order to settle themselves down for what they are doing is illusion not real. GO BACK TO YOUR ROOTS.
I am from Israel myself, I am trying to minimize the expectations from the other side, but there should be prerequisites, the basic ones.
Most importantly, that they will not want to kill the Israelis, especially the Jewish people!!!

Palestinians genetics are not a delusion.
They are beautiful.
People need to get out of their sight. Let them be.
Everyone needs to listen to this
Most Palestinians are too weak and afraid to raise their voices, but deep inside they pray for a better life and know cooperation with the Jews will do them good .
Courage my friends
Dare to speak out for peace !
Thank you Madam for your detail explanation!!!!
Thanks for amazing clarity and vision. Having always been in the camp of the right, interestingly i found myself agreeing with every word. I completely agree that we need another Marshall plan to end the conflict; even complete victory will not suffice.
Dr. Wilf's presents a cogent explication of difficult Israeli-Palestinian never ending war.
I just bought her book. The solution is not immediate and sadly, hard to see in near future.
Extraordinary presentation. Thank you for your leadership and your essential work, Dr. Wilf.
Omg so correct - only person has brought up these truths
I was born in Germany my children have no right of return
We have the keys to my fathers home in Poland - I have no right to it - move on Arabs make a life for yourselves
Interesting how others have the same right after 2000 years, or so they claim
My great grandparents where Persian jews I hear ya they moved on and created a life for themselves elsewhere
This is the best speech I have ever heard in my entire life about Israel I have been trying to explain things to my husband and this is exactly what I wanted to explain. I am actually more concerned about America where I live then about Israel they are struggling now and I pray and I send money and I contact my politicians here in America but I am more concerned about the soul of America about the borders our country is in very big trouble.
Bravo
I'm currently reading her book. I really wish people would listen to her these days instead of the thing the Palestinians want us to focus on: The civilian victims of a war *they* started.
