- Is it possible to beat Borderlands 2 as with ONLY the power of friendship? What if we tried it on OP10? What if team damage was on? Borderlands, Borderlands 2, Borderlands the Pre-sequel, and Borderlands 3 all have guns that can get pretty wacky, but wacky doesn't always mean good. In this challenge run, we try to beat the game with s weapon that vomit rainbows everywhere, the unicornsplosion! Want to see me try this challenge with a different gun? Comment below on what gun, grenade, or even shield I should try next! Any gun in any game (Borderlands 1, Borderlands 2, Borderlands the Pre-Sequel, Borderlands 3, and hopefully Wonderlands!)

With Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands coming out soon I thought it would be fun to do a themed challenge to build up a little hype for the game. I ran the idea by you guys and a majority of you wanted to see it! So here we are with today’s challenge! Can You Beat Borderlands 2 With ONLY The Power of Friendship? In this Challenge we will be utilizing the Mysterious Amulet from the Tina DLC and The Unicornsplosion Shotgun from the Lilith DLC before I show the rest of the build, I’ma throw the rules at you real quick, First off we will be playing on OP10 as always, second, we will be playing as Krieg and Require a few specific skills to add to the challenge, more on that in a second. No BAR and most importantly, you gatta bring the homies! We were all reppin the Legendary Reaper Class mod for that sweet, sweet bloodbath boost and to make kill skills last almost 5 times as long. We also have a basic shield and slag grenade just to balance things out. As for those required skills, I was talking about Fuel the rampage is required so that team damage is something we have to` consider, and Redeem the soul because real homies would risk it all for each other. The rest of the build is centered around mostly bloodbath and explosive damage with very little melee boosts. I tried to balance it out, so melee was somewhat “viable” but not our main source of damage, and we all have one unspent skill point for a little trick you guys will see later in the run. Okay now that all the intro info is handled, Lets introduce the squad.
Right off the bat I taught everyone about the build we were working with, basic stuff like how to heal, don’t shoot your homies, try to proc bloodbath when you can etc. You guys might also notice that we are leaving glitter trails everywhere we go, that is thanks to the Mysterious Amulet. The more people wearing one the more intense the sparkles get. Often throughout the playthrough we end up crop dusting each other with these sparkles, our guns even make fart noises to really add to the immersion. We charged into our first battle not knowing how it would go, we were all learning how to handle this challenge, some of us learned the hard way. I tried to go in for some melee attacks during buzzaxe rampage and got totally decimated by friendly fire damage. We quickly learned to call out melee targets so that we could coordinate better. Like I said before melee isn’t the main damage source for this run and it is barely viable. But I would be lying if I didn’t say it has its uses. For example, The benefit to getting a kill in buzzaxe rampage is that you get a ton of bloodlust stacks per kill which is useful because getting stacks is hard with our current build. Chapter 1: The Power of Friendship
First step in my journey is realizing that its impossible beat Borderlands 2 with the Power of Friendship.
Chapter 2: The power of Incredible Violence
I really feel like the Love Thumper should have been the shield used, it's torgue, does team damage, and has Love in the name, love and friendship is the same.

Me as krieg (always gets the light the fuse skill because it adds more mayhem and chaos also I just hate slowly crawling around in the fight for your life mode)
The infinite vertical melee range isn't a glitch, it's a complete feature for Krieg's to rampage upon unsuspecting Buzzards, mini turrets, jet loaders, and surveyors for their ability to be in impossible places.
Their ability to be in impossible places enrages Krieg's to no end.
So when they are exploited for their weakness, Krieg's rejoice everywhere.
All characters had infinite upwards melee in one two and pre sequel it’s jus jank coding but I miss it in 3
@@evanlukas1 Not Pre sequel. That got patched out early in the game iirc. Playing Melee Athena rn, no vertical melee.
@@ismaashawsome4685 tbh with her captain america shield tossing and hulk leaping, plus less 'stay too far away to melee' fliers (A few shigguraths that spawn too high to jump, then ads and some aerial bosses in the dlc is about the only ones i can think of besides rk5 when it's bombing the platform)

These runs consistently challenge the engine to compute never before seen scenarios. The big brain plays are probably what leads to all the glitches. But that's also what makes this peak content. Keep it up!
If you do a TPS run, maybe a general buff/support group would be fun.
Athena’s shield tree for defense
Wilhelm’s Saint tree for healing in combat
Claptrap’s high five tree for team-buffs and the high five capstone
Aurelia’s master tree to buff herself and her servant (claptrap, naturally)
Jack COULD be a half decent choice but his are more for buffing his digijacks or having allies go down and Nisha is fully selfish with no team synergy
Nisha's support is to kill the enemies faster than they can kill her allies.
Nisha's motto is that killing enemies is the best support

Fun fact about the Mysterious Amulet being used to get a Unicornsplosion
It only works on one amulet per playthrough, meaning you have 3 shots at getting the shotgun guaranteed
Edit: My gut tells me this gun could be fire on Axton if it receives grenade damage bonus
A painful challenge would be to have the krieg perk where u can take friendly fire to the max and everyone uses the flak queen gun

Here's a thought: Take 4 of your previous challenges (ideally each one would be a separate character, ex. Fastball Axton, Salvador as Captain Blade, Bane Maya, and Elephant Gun Zero), have each one of you play as these characters, and see if you can beat the game like that.
In other words, can you beat Borderlands 2 with the homies experiencing flashbacks to previous challenge runs?
I'm considering doing this with my sister (me as Bane Maya, with a Fabled Tortoise for good measure, and my sister as Elephant Gun Zer0)
Glitches are attracted to both speedrunners and challenge runners, especially game breaking ones.

I absolutely love his hate for Lilith, it is 100% expected as a krieg main.... talking as a krieg main myself, and I absolutely hate her too, for all the same reasons, she kills kriegs with her splash damage, and doesn't do much in the story fights... also the whole quest where u collect her echo's for her... that just says valumes about her personality when you listen to them...

Honestly? During the Overlook spawning of the fast travel beacon, you can just kill the beacon 12 times to make it drop faster.
Thus leaving the defense completely pointless.
Just a speedrunning thought.
Yeah there’s a few thing like that I choose to do even though I know I don’t have too, like running through the fridge when I can just fast travel out. Prolly going to utilize that strat if I do a challenge that’s way to hard tho XD

The best nade for slag is magic missle. You should've used it for the run.
I try not to over use the unique gear for runs otherwise they become too easy.
