Definitely a chip brush will give you that wood texture. I just use those cheap 1" chip brushes. I've also found the Ranger alcohol ink brushes give me the best results for knots. This came out great!
That came out so nice! I don’t seal alcohol inks bc every time I’ve tried to the sealer creates crazing. Even with a super light spray it cracks & crazes. I’m sure they have some alcohol in the ingredients that makes the inks move. I let alcohol inks sit overnight or if it’s early morning I wait 6 to 8 hours.. without any issues. Love how you did the ‘Coach Ivy’ 🙌. Thanks for sharing your beautiful art pieces 🌹🌹
Beautiful cup! Thank you for the tutorial on outlines on Silhouette. You definately need a chip brush (stiffer bristles) and use latte as a second color. I've done hundreds of wood grain cups. Thank you again. 🙂
@@CNMDesigns I love doing wood grains and they're fast!! I just found your channel and subscribed. I'm looking at your past video's and the things you make. LOVE the books. Great job!!

I'm watching your video as I try to make an outline. When I hit subtract, my "gold" letters disappear. I watched yours and they didn't. What am I doing wrong?
Can you do just a full tutorial slowed down just a bit in how to do the outline !?! I tried …. Have no clue what I did, but it sure didn’t do what you showed us! Lol!!!

They do! You want the original smaller font to disappear. Make sure you duplicate the gold once so you have to original, which will be your stencil..
