I dropped my ultra on the concrete a couple of weeks ago was quite nervous, picked it up cleaned it off and went right back to painting. That might be a better test than driving over one not sure. I haven’t seen anyone else drive over there airbrush so well done my friend. Looked like you enjoyed maybe a little to much
Unfortunately, one week after getting and using my U24, it dropped from desk. The drop smashed the air tip (and was no longer usable) and scratched chrome off the cup. I notified H&S who were great. They are not repairing anything yet, but when they heard I might have also damaged needle and trigger, they quickly responded with getting me a replacement nozzle set (cap and needle) and trigger. The old and new trigger sticks a little, but brush works great. I love working with my brush. It’s not indestructible but H&S does stand behind their product to make things right. Thanks H&S.
I got mine about Nov 30th . I've used it twice since then , wow ! I already have some experience with airbrushing models with my Iwata Eclipse , this airbrush beats it . The paint atomized so much better . And it really is easy to clean . I can say without a doubt my next airbrush will be the New Evolution . And then I will park in a box my Iwata forever lol . I always knew H&S was good , but now I'm convinced . And your price points on the new brushes , make the choice a no brainer . But don't get me wrong about the new Evolution , it will work side by side with the new Ultra . Thanks for making the New brushes , they are incredible
And this is the reason i love harder&steenbeck brushes, they are just amazingly made, and my best tip for someone just getting in to airbrushes is use a few bucks more and get a great brush as youre first one and youll have a much better experience and harder&steenbeck is as good as they come, amazingly easy to change out parts if youll ever need to and you probely dont, i had harder&steenbeck brushes for over 8 years now and i changed one nozzle and two needles in that time, this just shows that in great way😊

Wow. I got my Ultra 2024 two weeks ago, used it for varnishing my 10mm miniatures and was blown away how nice it feels (earlier I had one from China). I still dread over bending the needle or damaging the noozle during deep cleaning. Is there a trick to do air backflow for mixing paint? I cannot figure a way to grip a cap to block air and paint from flowing from of airbrush.
Hey buddy - we have had a lot of questions about the back flow... we have something which we are releasing soon... but in the meantime, using a damp cloth bunched up and pressed onto the front works well.

Actually, I have a question for you. I use Feibing’s Oil Pro Dye to dye my leather projects. I bought the Ultra 2024 to use on leather. As silly and fun as this video is, I have to hand it to you, you absolutely nailed it! I recently received the squidmar ultra as a gift and honestly found the quality absolutely top notch! This however had the slightly unexpected effect of me being kinda scared of using it wrong or damaging it. All I’ve used previously was the absolute cheapest airbrushes I could find. This video has reminded me that it’s not made of glass and is actually pretty damn tough. I think I’ll be giving the Squidmar Ultra its first try tomorrow 😅

I just got my shipping notification about my Squidmar Ultra 2024! I noticed however the zip code is wrong (billing addr not shipping addr), do you think there will be a problem with delivery? My Squidmar Evo that is still pending has the correct zip code, not sure what happened to cause a mix up.

Very nice. Can I have both Warrick and the BMW sign it? Also on general the biggest fear i have when working with the airbrush around damage is the needle. I know the rest is pretty bullet proof but I'm always super concerned about damaging the needle. Any input on how durable those are to handling?
Hey buddy... you are right about the needle - that's exactly why I redesigned the needle nut - the interior tapers are matched to the needle such that they prevent you from hitting the second taper, and therefore the tip, when you are putting the needle back into the airbrush. They are fairly durable - we're using a very high grade spring steel now and they are remarkably strong, but as you say, they are still a needle, and of course the thing with airbrush needles is that they are a critical part of the aerodynamics at the front of the airbrush, and so need to be in good shape, really.
I'm really glad you did this test Warwick, because I'm forever leaving my airbrush in the path of on coming vehicles. I really don't know how it keeps happening. I've been through several brands and ten airbrushes, then when I purchased my Evolution CRP and Infinity CRP, as per usual, somehow they found their way outside and onto the driveway (I wish I knew how that keeps happening🤔😳😲🙄). And you've guessed it, both my neighbours and I ran over them, repeatedly! But they worked perfectly afterwards and ever since! I've been a H&S user ever since too✌️👍💜😊 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😳💜✌️💜 Seriously though, kudos to H&S airbrushes, I thought that at least the trigger would be bent - remarkable! Imho, Warwick, you now deserve a 5 Series BMW😉😉✌️💜😀

Got to love testing German engineering by driving over it repeatedly with German Engineering… I really like the look of the Ultra 2024, it looks like a tool that I could get great benefit from, over the Sparmax 3 I’m currently using. Have to say that Warwick’s videos have helped me step up with my current airbrush, however
It's definitely not the most severe thing they could do to it, but it proves their point. Beginners worry about dropping their airbrush, I think running it over regardless of where on, shows it is durable enough not to worry.
Everyone here is shocked that you didn't take our serious video seriously! The surface is a kind of compacted earth with stones in it. The tyre may or may not be rubber. As anyone who has driven a BMW knows, BMW run-flats feel like they are made of rocks. We're just having fun, buddy, just trying to think of a fun way to show beginners not to fear the airbrush. Don't worry, we've got some proper painting content coming up soon :-)

I was seing old vídeos here, I think, " a car, peace a cake, but a guy with Narcolepsy well ....". Yes, I bend ( replace all ready) the back part of my Infinity. A needles ( it resolved with the bigger protect, thanks to Warrick). But after😊 replacement work like a baby.
The Ultra is my first purchase from H&S and so far I'm incredibly dissapointed with the customer experience. It was ordered back in early October and I still haven't received it. Customer service has not ben much help. I don't see myself as a returning customer
Hi there - I assume you ordered the Squidmar ULTRA? We did say that they would ship during the month of November, and most of them did. Unfortunately we did run a little late with them but you'll be pleased to know that the shipping of these finished on Friday, so I'm certain you're going to be getting a nice surprise shortly :-) please don't judge us on that delivery performance. We don't make the specials into stock before we run the campaign. They are just too labour intensive to make the wrong number! So we make them to order, and try to make sure that people understand that it's not an instant shipping product. Sorry that you feel disappointed - we don't want you to feel that way. I hope that once you get the actual airbrush, you'll base your judgement of the customer experience on the products that we deliver to our customers :-)

I feel like the least H&S could have done is upgrade to express shipping since you did break the November deadline. The true test for any product is accidental drop from ones work bench. Thats always seems the killer for most products especially cell phones screens lol

Warrick, my poor poor heart. After this abuse, this airbrush needs a good home. Thus, i am creating the "Harder and Steenbeck Foundation for abused airbrushes" Since airbrushes generally need a social group, i can assure you that this airbrush is going to have a good place in my existing group with my infinity and my evolution. Since my evolution is already over 10 years old, and my giraldez infinity still has all the youth juices and exitement going on it would be great to add another youngster to the group so that my old evolution can take a break from the action and join playtime whenever it wants to. Also, when it comes to natural enrichment, there is lots of miniatures on my pile of opportunity for it to paint, as it would out in the wilderness, keeping it happy and avoiding boredom at the same time, as it can mimic its natural behaviour in the most natural way. As you can see, it will have a great home with a great group of friends that are waiting to welcome it into a new home, where it learns to trust humans again and where we make sure that no car will ever try to harm it again. We will even work with a psychologist who specialised in proper atomization to help it overcome the trauma of the past.
It makes me wonder why other reviewers limit their assessments to superficial 'paint' tests for your products and those of your industry peers. It seems they overlook the crucial aspects of sturdiness, engineering, and overall durability in their evaluations. :) So.. H&S - an item you can pass on to your future generations!
Well, this was great and painful to watch at the same time! What's next, testing if you can crack open almonds with it, just in case you get hungry while airbrushing? Really nice to see that it's resistant to more damage than I would be wiling to do to my airbrush👍
Loved this 😂 Do a torture test series and then plate the brush, or it’s remains, in gold and display it in the factory as a testament to the quality you and the team are producing 😂
That's German engineering at its finest, Harder and Steenbeck have chosen the best materials, machining and manufacturing equipment, designed this airbrush with the user in mind and are so confident in their product that they will put it through a test that destroy would inferior airbrushes. I guess you could say "If we couldn't break it testing it, we doubt you could break it using it!"
I guess the only damage you could realistically do to an airbrush would be to the needle if you drop it directly onto the needle. Apart from that they're pretty much impervious to damage.
Ha! Don't worry buddy - this airbrush works perfectly! We removed the cup as the ULTRA 2024 CAN be used without the cup, using the recess for paint... technically it's not a necessary part!

....". Yes, I bend ( replace all ready) the back part of my Infinity. A needles ( it resolved with the bigger protect, thanks to Warrick). But after😊 replacement work like a baby.

Ah that's not my favourite from them tbh... The oldest - the Super63 was very good in several ways...

The Ultra is my first purchase from H&S and so far I'm incredibly dissapointed with the customer experience. It was ordered back in early October and I still haven't received it. Customer service has not ben much help. I don't see myself as a returning customer
Hi there - I assume you ordered the Squidmar ULTRA? We did say that they would ship during the month of November, and most of them did. Unfortunately we did run a little late with them but you'll be pleased to know that the shipping of these finished on Friday, so I'm certain you're going to be getting a nice surprise shortly :-) please don't judge us on that delivery performance. We don't make the specials into stock before we run the campaign. They are just too labour intensive to make the wrong number! So we make them to order, and try to make sure that people understand that it's not an instant shipping product. Sorry that you feel disappointed - we don't want you to feel that way. I hope that once you get the actual airbrush, you'll base your judgement of the customer experience on the products that we deliver to our customers :-)

I just checked the tracking provided and it's still sitting in a warehouse in Germany. I feel like the least H&S could have done is upgrade to express shipping since you did break the November deadline.
I'll judge the product fairly when it arrives but my perspective on this experience will most likely remain negative.

Looks like the only thing I have left to worry about with an air brush is having my cat damage the air hose.
I had a friend whose cat managed to bite through one... After the first experience, his interest in airhoses is not quite so intense as before, apparently!

The true test for any product is accidental drop from ones work bench. Thats always seems the killer for most products especially cell phones screens lol

Warrick, my poor poor heart.
After this abuse, this airbrush needs a good home. Thus, i am creating the "Harder and Steenbeck Foundation for abused airbrushes"
Since airbrushes generally need a social group, i can assure you that this airbrush is going to have a good place in my existing group with my infinity and my evolution. Since my evolution is already over 10 years old, and my giraldez infinity still has all the youth juices and exitement going on it would be great to add another youngster to the group so that my old evolution can take a break from the action and join playtime whenever it wants to.
Also, when it comes to natural enrichment, there is lots of miniatures on my pile of opportunity for it to paint, as it would out in the wilderness, keeping it happy and avoiding boredom at the same time, as it can mimic its natural behaviour in the most natural way.
As you can see, it will have a great home with a great group of friends that are waiting to welcome it into a new home, where it learns to trust humans again and where we make sure that no car will ever try to harm it again. We will even work with a psychologist who specialised in proper atomization to help it overcome the trauma of the past.
Well my wife says thats the first thing on earth that we can not break😂

It makes me wonder why other reviewers limit their assessments to superficial 'paint' tests for your products and those of your industry peers. It seems they overlook the crucial aspects of sturdiness, engineering, and overall durability in their evaluations. :) So.. H&S - an item you can pass on to your future generations!

Well, this was great and painful to watch at the same time! What's next, testing if you can crack open almonds with it, just in case you get hungry while airbrushing? Really nice to see that it's resistant to more damage than I would be wiling to do to my airbrush👍

That's German engineering at its finest, Harder and Steenbeck have chosen the best materials, machining and manufacturing equipment, designed this airbrush with the user in mind and are so confident in their product that they will put it through a test that destroy would inferior airbrushes. I guess you could say "If we couldn't break it testing it, we doubt you could break it using it!"

I guess the only damage you could realistically do to an airbrush would be to the needle if you drop it directly onto the needle. Apart from that they're pretty much impervious to damage.

Ha! Don't worry buddy - this airbrush works perfectly! We removed the cup as the ULTRA 2024 CAN be used without the cup, using the recess for paint... technically it's not a necessary part!

Actually there is a very small scratch on the right side of the airbrush, so you'll know it's that one :-)
