I actually like the Inhumans & Black bolt. I feel like they are like any characters in comics you get good writings & a good story & they can be done well.
I find Black Bolt a difficult character because if he speaks it causes untold destruction so a lot of his dialogue would be internal or indirect which would feel weird to write when it comes to character interactions.
I love the idea of the Inhumans, and I'm not the only one. Jack Kirby loved his idea so much that he had to write it three times. To be fair, the Inhumans were the original version. I love that they have their own society and caste/meritocracy system. I don't like the royal family that much, as they aren't what I'd expect from a royal caste. Blackbolt shouldn't be the king, but the general of the inhuman army. Maybe they should get king Ralphed and be replaced by something more interesting? I'm pretty sure that there was a time that Lockjaw wasn't a real dog, but an example of what happens when terrigenesis goes wrong. Along with Eldrac, the living door.
I think Black Bolt can stand to be a more animated character when he is needed to be. Face and eyes can till so much story and for a visual medium such as comics the story sometimes wins over the art & maybe their is a sweet balance. However making Black Bolt stoic with zero psionic ability to communicate and of course he comes of boring and weak. Make Black Bolt more animated especially in the face & give him a vocal box with some decent hand to hand skills and you might have a interesting character.
Imagine Karnak focusing on finding the flaws of capitalism and religion. Any rebuttal from any finance-bros would be broken down to it's most critical flaws
