Back when the Dark Knight trilogy had just ended, and there were talks of a new Batman being cast for Warner Bros new DC movies, Anson Mount was my fancast for Batman. Dude would’ve nailed the role.

Black bolt's powers in the TV series is seriously nerfed down. In the comics, his voice of destruction is supposed to shatter a planet, with but a whisper. Here, his power is just a garden variety of sonic scream. But then again, if the tv series remains faithful to the comic book, his scream will end everything in the the show as we know it LOL.

This needed to be a movie. Marvel can make pretty much anything work and introduce it perfectly into their MCU. Just like the Guardians and Eternals, Inhumans could have their own introductory movie. Shame because Black Bolt is one of my favorite characters.

Let's be honest if this was the real world those officers would be getting arrested for police brutality. 1: The arresting officers didn't even try to talk to the person. 2:They never read him his miranda rights/right to silence (uk/us). 3: They immediatley started beating him up and discharged a taser The only thing they got right was that the police did was ask for backup as he clearly had shown resistance to arrest and had attacked a police officer already. That still doesn't excuse the extreme brutality in their actions, that's one thing the show got right, sometimes I've seen it reported on tv where the police will go too far, like discharging a taser on a 90 year old man.
No it wouldn't because normally black bolt doesn't use his voice like that. And I don't see how the concept of "Strong hero = Stronger villain" doesn't make sense in those same comics where he can break reality with his voice maximus still gives him trouble.
That is a difficult role to act. Honestly you have to play every scene and ensure you never ever utter anything not even an "omph". Kudos to the writers and and actor.
One of my favorite parts of these discussions is that people may hate the movie, but they love the casting Which means that if they have different writers or different moviemakers that can help make the characters better, it fixes a Lot of complaints

If they ever do black bolt or the inhumane again they need to give him an option to speak. On paper being mute works much better but no so much on screen. Give him a speech box like Stephen hawking or something.

It should have been a movie. But seeing how powerful his voice could be, it might be a challenge. Though that idea soon faded away what happened in ‘Multiverse of Madness’.

Thats because he doesnt want to hurt the cops. He cant hurt hulk so he can go all out. These cops really arent super hurting him but like even an adult can be pulled to the ground by toddlers if they dont put up reasonable resistance.
@@mrjuderaw87 you clearly know nothing about blackbolt and how powerful he truly is. His strength physically can reach levels as high as Ben grim, taken on thanos and more, yet is stopped by cops, holding back or not he is way too powerful to be hurt by regular police officers.
@@pjsniper1986 hes not losing to the cops. He cant just say i give up so they rough him up. At no point does he even look worse for wear after the cops. He is still more than capable of epic feats. Its called pulling your punches and its something marvel characters do a lot. Just cause you found comics in 2020 doesnt mean we all did. Shut up

I liked that curious unbotheredness he shows in the first few scenes on Earth, and the fact that he's completely silent in them makes them even funnier

This needed to be a movie. Marvel can make pretty much anything work and introduce it perfectly into their MCU. Just like the Guardians and Eternals, Inhumans could have their own introductory movie. Shame because Black Bolt is one of my favorite characters.
That's weird, considering Guardians and Eternals aren't like the comics at all. So you want the MCU to butcher Black Bolt anyway?

Looks like he has moderately above human level strength, almost no increased durability(or he has a humans tolerance to pain, when getting hit by mere humans and gets thrown around)

After watching Multiverse of Madness, I hope to see more from this character and the actor. Judging from the series, it looked like he had a lot of talent, if only the show didn't suck.

Let's be honest if this was the real world those officers would be getting arrested for police brutality.
1: The arresting officers didn't even try to talk to the person.
2:They never read him his miranda rights/right to silence (uk/us).
3: They immediatley started beating him up and discharged a taser
The only thing they got right was that the police did was ask for backup as he clearly had shown resistance to arrest and had attacked a police officer already. That still doesn't excuse the extreme brutality in their actions, that's one thing the show got right, sometimes I've seen it reported on tv where the police will go too far, like discharging a taser on a 90 year old man.

This show was terrible but Anson Mount actually did a really good job.
Yes he did a great job but this show wasn’t terrible it just no one gave it a chance it was not bad just needed better writer and more episodes

Biggest complaint is the lack of black bolt using his gift the entire season.
Such a desciplined loudmouth, too bad Black Bolt didn't recover from that mind-blowing trick.

No it wouldn't because normally black bolt doesn't use his voice like that. And I don't see how the concept of "Strong hero = Stronger villain" doesn't make sense in those same comics where he can break reality with his voice maximus still gives him trouble.
Marvel studios will use him in a better way in the MCU

That is a difficult role to act. Honestly you have to play every scene and ensure you never ever utter anything not even an "omph". Kudos to the writers and and actor.

One of my favorite parts of these discussions is that people may hate the movie, but they love the casting
Which means that if they have different writers or different moviemakers that can help make the characters better, it fixes a Lot of complaints
Anson Mount is really great as Black Bolt since he really looks the part. God I wish an MCU movie/show about Black Bolt will come soon just for me to erase my memory of ever seeing this awful show.
