I have tried to learn to convert C to F for YEARS! I’ve read online but everyone wants to complicate it unnecessarily. Thank you for helping to keep it simple.
Thanks so much. I am sure your videos are for middles school students but I am a college student taking statistics and have watched many of your videos. You are a life saver.
Mr.J I am 36 years old and learning this all over again, has been made easy with your videos. Thank you so much. Also, my kids watched me on your channel and said “mom what you know bout Mr.J?”
You made it so easy for me to understand for my college class. I don't understand why they try to make it so difficult. Thanks for helping me. I appreciate you!
I noticed if around 24c-25c if you are estimating if you do (cx2)+25, not +30 for anything over 24C you get a closer number to what the actual conversion gives
Genius, I've been trying to do the original formula in my head, but it would be quicker to bust out a calculator 😂, and since I live in Texas the discrepancy for (C•2)+30 is too large for my liking, you are a lifesaver!
Here's my easiest way: Celsius times 2 minus 10%; plus 32. Example: 25C = 25x2 is 50, minus 5 is 45, plus 32 = 77. I just find it easier to do that in my head otherwise I need a piece of paper or a calculator.
i mean the trick for 1.8 is the same for tipping 18% you get 20% and remove 20%/10. say you have a check for 200$ 20% is 1/5 so you just get 40. if you want 18% you do 40-4 ->36 this always works and it's just two steps -> divide by 5, remove 1/10th from it...
Thank you sooo much.... Thank you for the 1.8 (instead of F=9/5 + 32). Using 1.8 is faster on a test (than dividing 9 by 5)... I see where the 1.8 came from now😀
Thanks Mr. J . I always see you when I have my maths test and exam thanks but Tomorrow is my science exam it will help me so much I will subscribe you thanks so much - J
An easy way to do it in your head and get a more accurate number that I found is to do this. We'll use 40 C for an example. 40 x 2 = 80. Then 80 x .1 = 8. Then 80 - 8 = 72. Then 72 + 32 = 104 F. I don't remember my pemdas lol. But taking 10% of the result of the celsius degree x 2, gives you the 1.8 conversion to add 32 to. And, this is just much easier for my brain to process on the fly.
I know you posted this video years ago but I (A 29 year old American) finally decided to let my founding fathers down and learn the conversion rate, you made it very simple and clear and I appreciate it!
A better means of calculating the conversion would be double the temperature in centigrade and then subtract 10% (rounded to a whole number) from that doubling and then add the freezing point point of Fahrenheit (32°). In his example for 29°C = 58 -6+32= 84°F The other example 14°C = 28 -3+32=57°F
How to calculate rise in celcius to Fahrenheit? Not using common scale but increments? A 1 degree rise in Celcius does not equal 32 degree F rise. Please explain.
80% of the number plus the number add 32 is how i do it for easy one 300 80% means in my head I subtract 60 add it back 540 +30 so 29 i would push to 30 remove 6 so add 24 54 plus 30 is 84

How do you handle -18c to F? (-18*1.8)+32

A 1 degree rise in Celcius does not equal 32 degree F rise.
Please explain.

Thank you so much
But why 1.8? Or 9/5
I have the same doubt
Fraction to decimal.
9÷5= 1.8
Easier to calculate if we use decimal
Fr like our teacher made us do the fraction which sometimes is confusing as hell@@pjapuntan2933

is 1,382 Fahrenheit possible? (not sure if im supposed to write it like that or 1.3k)
It would seem as though, unfortunately, the higher the temperature, the less accurate the estimated temperature will be.
