Hello I have a question I’m good with kg to g and so on because I do pharmacy math.
But my child in 5th grade has to show his work he can’t simply just move the decimal 3 times to the right like we do. He has to do the full equation on paper.
So my question to you is I know that 18.2 * 1000 is 18,200.
But when we do it on paper we get 182,000. Why is there an extra zero and how do I explain that zero away or is he supposed to keep the extra zero?
Because then if you check it he will get 182.0 and not 18.2.
