- We are pleased to release our 1/200 Scale TBF Avenger Sets! These aircraft are essential to any 1/200 Scale Aircraft Carrier diorama modeled during WWII. This video explains the two different sets and demonstrates how to remove the models from the supports and give you some painting ideas.

Outstanding work
Very nice, they look great.
Those look really nice would you happen to make the 1.1 inch quad aa guns that the Yorktown has im conflicted between using the bofers 40mm and then having the extra quad 1.1 or having the 4 bofers left over
Outstanding job do you know if they going to release 1/200 USS Saratoga?
Thank you! I do not know. I have some industry insider friends who get a heads up “sometimes” but mostly, everyone in the industry finds out about new products at the same time.
@@TheMidwestModelShop Crossing fingers the Sara was my Grandfather's ship he was parachute rigger and enlisted fighter pilot
you are already sold out, is there a wait list??? I will prepay if necessary.
These look really cool. If they ever happen to become available in 1/350, I’ll definitely be ordering some.
Well we appreciate the support! But you can get these from Trumpeter in 1/350 scale and I think a few other sources, right now. The only reason I made them is because I could not find them in 1/200 scale in a configuration that works for the ship.
Those do not blow chunks at all! well done.
Post-November 1942 the only Yorktown class carrier still afloat was the Enterprise - the Yorktown (lost in June '42) never had Avengers aboard and if Hornet did it was only briefly before her loss at the Battle of Santa Cruz in Oct. '42. Hellcats were not introduced until after Yorktown & Hornet were lost, so the only Yorktown-class carrier that flew F6Fs was Enterprise.
Thanks for the info!
Are SBDs next? Or does the kit come with them?
They come in the kit and you can buy extras from Trumpeter.
Outstanding! What year/month are you building the Enterprise to represent?
November 1942
I may be wrong, my military aircraft knowledge is sketchy, but some of the plans and photos I have seen show two barrels from the upper rear gun turret and not one. Is the use of 1 barrel a gun variant ?
On the TBF Avenger, yes.
@@TheMidwestModelShop Perfect many thanks
I forgot to add, excellent content and commentary on subjects which I am just getting into. Armour and figures are normally my vice and should have congratulated you on your models way before now. SD

The most unnecessary phrase in the English language; '...go ahead and...'
It's EVERYWHERE.
Other than that, I really do enjoy your content!
