A couple of helpful tips, when replacing my speakers. I couldn't get the clips loose for the door latch. So I put a small calapsable table under the door panel to hold it up while I replaced the speakers. I didn't have a 5.5mm socket for the speaker screws, but a 7/32 quarter inch drive socket works well too. Good luck with your speaker change out.👍👍👍👍😎😎😎
What's the part # for those speaker plug/cable? I'd like to have the adapter plugs but not the speakers and definitely not from Stage 3, there way to expensive.
Far better than the blown Sony ones. When I bought my truck the speakers were already toast so I can't comment on comparison to stock, but I'm guessing better...to what degree I don't know. Thanks for watching!
How much did you pay for your speakers? I will do the same replacement for my truck and paid $50. or so. Just curious if yours are much better than the original ford factory speakers.
That wouldn't come thru a video - too subjective with a microphone capturing speaker output, TH-cam audio compression, and folks listening with different speakers. Thanks for watching!
What if the previous owner was an idiot and snipped off the factory harness and just twisted wires together with electrical tape like a meth head? Lol, jk, ill just have to use the supplied wiring to twist and shrink tube it on I guess. Thanks for the tutorial.
@@dylanperkins1460 so, my story continues. I opened the driver's side door first because that speaker was blown, found the janky wiring with an aftermarket JBL speaker. My mistake was that I then assumed all 4 door speakers were done the same way. Nope, the other 3 were all factory speakers with the harness still intact, so I guess I will have to use this tutorial haha!

If you want see hug change you must edit EQ by forscan ,, your mid and low bass will come back
What settings do you make in forscan that will improve the sound? I would like to do this to mine. Thanks
dont need to get bass out of your doors when you have 2 12s
@@dmoney2530why have a backseat wh en you can have 2 12’s. There is no reason why you would need more bass than door speakers can provide.
@@JPandherHe can't hear you.
Holy shit, this comment should be mandatory on all the ford speakers swap videos. Thank you
Did the Metra adapters fit your speakers easily? The Metra adapter disconnects won’t fit the terminals on my Punch speakers
The pins needed to bend ever so slightly on the factory connector side, but on the speakers themselves, no issues. Thanks for watching!

Metra 72-5600, hope they work for you, the disconnects are too small for the Punch speakers I bought
Did you install a more powerful amp
Nope, all stock. Thanks for watching!
Can you link the speakers you bought and the adapter you used as well?
Link is in the description. Thanks for watching!
Why do you take the whole door panel off
No way that I know of to access the speaker otherwise. Thanks for watching!
hows the rattle?
No rattle at all! Thanks for watching!
These speakers are better than Sony?
They're about the same, my original ones were completely blown so they needed replacement badly. Thanks for watching!
Do they sound better?

@@redonKiLaus I bought my truck new and thought the skny upgrade stunk from the start. Need to add sound control also. Thanks for the reply.

I think it was a bit over $100, can't remember at this point. Thanks for watching!

Kickers were garbage in my f-150, sounded like a can and no bass. I put the nice $130 JBLs 6x8
