    The taking of everything out is the more important part of the question; "I already took the A-pillars out," does not help.
    I appreciate your vid, I think you for whatever reason glossed over the part which is most important for people who need the vid.

    how did you wire the tweeters? did you have to solder since the original tweeters were soldered? Thanks.

    Good, video, wish you showed some wiring, did you run the tweeter line from front door to tweeter, or just splice the line?

    I changed the stereo to a Pioneer touch screen. The sound level reaches 2x the factory stereo's sound level

      Yeah I'm doing that with a Kenwood touch screen. The factory radio in these trucks are awful.

    My radio stopped working entirely and ripped the radio out replaced it with a touchscreen and spent $40 on skar door speakers for the front but what size did you use for the rear I can’t find a straight answer 😂

    Did you use the factory grill covers over the new speakers?

    Do you like them better than the alpine

    • @ZachKohr
      @ZachKohr  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Cam Mitchell Its honestly hard to say. My alpines that I use to have were about $160 for a pair and these kickers were like half that price. Both have good build quality and both have very good crisp sound but if i had to pick one I would say these kicker speaker are a way better bang for your buck.
      Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe for more. There will be a install video of a kicker subwoofer in the near future.

    There's nothing dumber than leaving out the most important part of of replacing a speaker, the size needed for replacement "/

    How much power does the stock h.u. provide for those speakers?

    • @lordowl3533
      @lordowl3533 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      80 watts if I remember right. Most aftermarket head units are 200 watts. If you want to keep your factory head unit, I'd recommend getting a Kenwood power pack amp. It goes behind your radio and taps into your speaker wires. It shouldn't be any more than $200 to get one and they're relatively simple to install

    What are the ford plugs you’re referring to on the speaker

    • @jchezy720
      @jchezy720 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ford OEM speakers have a quick disconnect plug which is really nice because you can disconnect the old speaker and plug in the new speaker. Problem is: Most after market speakers only have the metal terminals on the speaker and not plugs (because every car/truck mfg has their own way of installing speakers), so you will have to terminate them yourself by cutting off the plug and splicing the wires together to make a solid connections. BUT .... If you order your speakers through Ford or purchase Ford specific speakers, then they will come with the plug ready for quick installation. Hope that answered your question.

      You can buy the Ford speaker adapter plugs on Amazon for about $10. Very handy. Makes it plug and play.

    Are the rear door speakers 6x8 just like the the fromt door speakers?

    • @ZachKohr
      @ZachKohr  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bacilio Ramos Perez Yes, all of the speakers are the same size.

    • @Mickmeister63
      @Mickmeister63 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bacillo Ramos Perez....yes the rears are also 6"x8" on any late model Ford F-150....its a super easy install. I did all four speakers in mine in less than 2 hours. Really getting the door panels off is the hardest part but just take your time so they don't get scratched and you're good.

      Mick Keener did you replace them bc your had a problem or just to upgrade my driver door isn’t working and not sure if the speaker is just blown

    • @Mickmeister63
      @Mickmeister63 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haven Lambert kind of both really.....passenger front door speaker started rattling but I had bought the upgrades probably a year ago. Just decided to finally get them done.
      It’s really an easy job.
      You just need a ratchet, 8mm, 6mm and a 5.5mm socket and it’s easy. A small screwdriver will pop off the two covers in the door panel.
      You also need the adapters for the wiring and its plug and play install.
      About $8 for a pair on eBay.
      Hope that helps.

    How did you wired the tweeters

    • @ZachKohr
      @ZachKohr  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      My truck cam with factory tweeters in the A column and I just swapped them out. I spliced them into the factory wiring harness.
