It's the same fucking problem I have on Crysis 3, these games are broken and they just don't want to use the resources. Tested at 720p lowest settings, GPU and CPU below 50% usage, no frame limiter 64fps
It's the game engine, Crysis 2 made a big difference towards working with 4 threads and Crysis 3 improved upon that working well with 8 threads. This game engine was a lot for just the original Crysis the Physics look poor and unnatural when someone gets shot or explosions go off, that is fixed with the newer Crytek engines, and they also can utilize the newer GPU's better. They should have just did a remake, and used the newest game engine. The results of this video is exactly what I expected.

Thanks for this, just the results on Crysis combined with knowing Supers/20GB versions are coming kind of makes me rethink getting a 3080 when they're finally in stock... question is do I really want to shell out the double price on the 3090 or not. Playing at an Ultrawide resolution makes vRAM calculations a bit skewed. I understand why reviewers don't do Ultrawide benchmarking, it's a niche market, but having to guestimate numbers that are 1/3 of the way between 1440p & 4K is always a fun adventure.

this is propably wrong, but i saw a comparison of very similiar INTEL and AMD proccesors comparison with RTX 2080 TI in a few games and Intel had like 5 more avarage fps and had on avarage 200mb less RAM usage for some reason. idk the video but it does exist

General rule: Intel usually offers "better" gaming performance, which usually means around 5 fps more, as others have mentioned. However, these cpu are usually unreasonably more expensive than their AMD counterpart. But seeing as you're going with the Ryzen 9, you don't seem to have the slightest idea of gaming efficient hardware setup in the first place.
the temps are low. 55 c @ 100% load? looks like you could cap the frames in most games around 90 @ 1440p, tune down some useless setting and have the pc dead silent

Because clock speed, fan speed, and thermals go hand in hand. One can't judge the performance of a GPU without these 3 main information. But you do you. They can because the games are going to be optimized for next gen. The frame rates for nearly all of the games are pathetic because they are poorly optimized. The GPU is a beast but the games are shit. Developers are either lazy af or they are given less tine.

Thats RAM problem not cpu gpu problem. Just dont use hardware acceleration

They can because the games are going to be optimized for next gen. The frame rates for nearly all of the games are pathetic because they are poorly optimized. The GPU is a beast but the games are shit. Developers are either lazy af or they are given less tine.

Well, Nvidia just said you get about 40% more performance at a lower price. Not that 3080 was a beast. In fact, it is for that price^^

How do you get the game to run on different resolutions and or different clips with the same gameplay side by side? Not looking to do benchmarks at all just so people can get an idea of different effects with different mods etc

How do you have such high gpu usage in most games? I have the exact same setup and get like 40-60% gpu usage. No cpu bottleneck I got the 10900k
Just think for a moment kids....if even this card has dips of minus 8-10fps in stressful situations at 4k. What do you think the 3070 is going to do compared to the 2080ti, and with only 8 gigs compared to its 11gigs.??
