    That's why midi progressions are better than straight already using somebody else's loop they made that you don't own cause with midi progressions you can use your own instrument of choice, you can change the sound and pitch of the melody, plus you can change the tempo/bpm and you can also edit and change around to add new notes or keys to that melody between a already made loop where all you can do with that to make it your own is chop it up, pitch it down or slow down the tempo/bpm of the loop so that your not straight copy and pasting it to your beat from their loop simple!

    Hey! So, i content id my beats. Great. But i have the same question that pitecomusic had. If i content id my beats, the content id will claim, i mean, will advise me: "Hey, this guy is using your beat", and then, i decide what to do. If claim the video or whitelist the channel. Perfect. But, lets supose that the person who is using my beat does'nt have any license. If that person monetize and i let him "monetize", that money will came to me? Cuz, it will be great if i let the non-licensed people use my beats for free, for promotion, and then if they monetize, all the money come to me. And if the guy wants to monetize, i'll say him: "Buy a license". Is this like it works?

      @@BAK315 I don't know much but I don't think copyright claims are only for chord progressions. It's the sound itself. There are tools that detect Meta data of sounds so when u license a loop or beat u get that registered in the system. Anyone who uses it could be determined. Watch how Shazam works even befre a song plays half-way it's able to detect title, source, etc quite similar to that algorithm.

  • @pitecomusic
    @pitecomusic 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I understand why you shouldn't use content id on beats containing royalty free loops/samples.
    But if you make a beat from scratch (not using free royalty loops but really 100% original content), put content id on it and sell it with a non exclusive license to an artist, is that a problem?
    In this case the artist gets a claim by my content id but I can whitelist the artist can I? If the contract says the artist is allowed up to 10000 views, I just need to check it until it reaches that point and eventuelly blacklist the artist if he/she doesn't want to buy a new license.
    Or am I missing something?

    I got a good question but when we manipulate the audio sample .....for example we change the octave +or- 1/3 tones...add maybe if we had over it few diffetent notes of the same instrument or maybe some bass line....then the manipulate audio sample/loop....can be owned exclusively by us?....like most of the famous song in the music industry are made from sometimes old song/hits.....so in conclusion web should pay more attention about local or even better world Wide Companies that offer copyright service?

    • @kamikazi5144

      You would still wanna content ID claim that honestly...don't let someone steal your beat and get away with it. If you made the beat first and uploaded it first too you own the copyright for the main beat. You used a loop so it might not hold up in court or whatever but a claim will take down the song they made with your beat or even their whole catalog. Good luck and try to compose your own melodies in the long run so you own every part of your beat...although it doesn't matter rn but it'll make life as a producer easier in the long run
