How are we able to track how many streams have been achieved to then renew a license?

I have 2 questions. Lets say i bought a basic license can i switch to a higher tier anytime? And if i use a beat for none profit and then when i actually do get monetize i can buy the beat anytime?

What happens if, let's say.. 100 artists buy a basic beat lease. And they all upload songs on it. Don't they get flagged for copyright?
I mean, it's ok if they would get flagged before posting, they would show the lease and everything's fine. But does it work like that?
I'm a beatmaker and I don't want any artist to have a song taken down. Especially if they have the lease. But I heard cases where beats were taken down even if they had a lease. Can someone enlighten me on how this process works? How can 100 artists use the same beat with no problems?

Most beat producers ban registration with the google copyright registration system. If you have a problem then a good producer will help you out if they can convince Google. If not they should give you a refund. Good luck with that though and anyrate you've probably spent many hours writing a lyric or rap. That time will have been wasted.
i dont think it'd be a problem as long as none of those artists claims the content id on the song they made using that beat, cuz anyhow that shouldnt be done on a leased beat, and would lead to copyright claims and strikes
What if I lets say sold mutliple times non exclusive leases on the same beat ,but one day someone wants to purchase it at exclusive rights, what next? The rest artists who have bought non exclusive leases before needs to delete their songs or what? Im really curious what if that happen
It would be from that point on. The exclusive license should have a clause for pre-sold licenses and should say that from the point of purchase (date) of the exclusive license, no MORE licenses will be issued.
If someone who bought the beat non-exclusive but his track got muh higher streams then any other artist who has bought the same beat. Production guy can deal them to buy the beat's exclusive rights. Maybe on a lower or Higher price as per negotiation .
And also if the non exclusive beats became so popular that artist are making new remixes on it. It will be non exclusive to everyone and no one will hold the particulars rights to use only. Beats like Doja -Central C, Gucci gang -lilpunk right??

If an artist gets a license. They make a song and put it on Spotify. And they start making money from their song through Spotify. Do they owe the producer any split?

As someone who's purchasing
If you're a beat buyer read my post above. Come to think of it, if you're a producer maybe you should read it too.
This whole model sucks for the beat lessee. The assumption by the producer always seems to bee that the leesee will never make a success with the song so they just want to grab as many leases as possible employing mean terms in the process. If the producer raally thought the a lease buyer would make a success then they'd sit back an wait for thir royalties to come in. In practice they hinder the success because multiple users have the same melody. Furthermore, the beat producer will usually give you a 10 year only lease. Imagine if you have a smash hit and royalties are pouring in but it took a while to take off. Well then after 10 years radio plays etc have to stop because the term is up. This is f'ing insane. I never buy from such mean producers regardless of the quality of their beats.
In addition most beat sellers seem to use Beatstars and adopt the default licence model which is very disadvantageous to the buyer. You should ALWAYS read all the licensing info before parting with money or even writing a rap or lyric. You might be surprised just how restrictive it is.

What gets me the most is they limit radio stations and performance income, so not only can you not try to contact radio stations for exposure unless you buy a 200$ lease but they also hinder you’re ability to profit off of live performances, which is ridiculous being that the average person buying *RAP* beats are the minority….
Except you're banking on the fact that the artist even uses the beat. 90% of beat sales don't even get used for songs. Labels will blanket buy 100s or 1000s of beats which may never be used.
Also, they don't have to stop playing the song. They merely have to upgrade their license. Or give the producer the money from unlicensed plays.
If you make a hit song you have the money to purchase exclusive lease, that usually comes with unlimited time, if this doesnt happen you can Just renew the lease for another 10 years, where's the problem?
Sounds like crooked business & robbery to me! Why would I want a beat maker controlling my song ? Or getting 50% of my Royalties when I have to do the singing & touring and paying for distribution, transportation, clothes and hotel fees traveling fees etc, etc. y’all not fair ! No better that music moguls who take advantage of the performers! You want 1/2 the publishing then you should half the expenses that I mentioned above that is incurred while promoting & performing the song! Then and only then will that make sense to me!
Half the expenses = half the royalties! Even in that arrangement- I would still be getting robbed because I”d be performing as well! Once beat is made that’s it. It doesn’t keep working as a human being does! It’s appreciated, but not equal! Be fair!
I 100 percent agree. Producers world is insane. They can license the beat to unlimited people. And then take splits from all artist while the artist is the one who is making the song a hit. Pouring money into the song with music videos and advertising. I think it’s absolutely a crooked business

Read the terms. Every contract isn't the same. Might have to look a little harder but what you're wanting exists. It always does. As a producer, im gonna try to change that to make the artist- producer relationship a little healthier and more equal
You wouldn't have the song without the producer tho...
So yeah you wrote vocals to it, yeah you have to market your product, but your product is dependent on someone else's work too.
if you like the beat enough to purchase it without negotiating terms, you accept the terms of the purchase.
