Received mine yesterday and I have to say, it is IMPRESSIVE. Thought my floors were clean until I saw the water colour during my very first use of the Dyson Wash G1. Engineered beautifully with all removable pieces tab locked. Top marks to Dyson.
Hey Allpack, does this product actually clean the floors or does it just clean spills on the floor. I'm looking to buy this as well, but I'm confused if this product actually cleans the floors like a swiffer would.
I thought the same thing. Depends which setting you have it on. That was on Max. On Eco you can get 290 square metres they reckon. Will have to wait and see.
@@Kids-gj1yh in the meantime mine is with Dyson since 2 weeks with another problem. Haven’t heard from them yet. . Very annoying after spending $999.00, it breaks down after on 3 weeks and now one has to wait till someone could be bothered to ring.
I think you could view this primarily as a mop. It does pick up particles and objects, it's true, but if it was a decent dry mess, I'd be using a broom first.
Hmm.... you can definitely do a self clean before pulling out the water tanks. Just not sure if the water tank needs to have some clean water left in it to work. I just got my review unit, but I'm on holidays, so will know more shortly.

too bad you didn’t talk about that very loud cracking noise when moving the handle from the locking position. One feels like something will break soon

Could you use an enzyme cleaner in it?
I believe so. Unlike some other robot vacuums, Dyson didn't seem to be too fussy about you using their specific detergent mix.
