Definitely! Jordan Myrick was recently on Culinary Crimes, and that made me *really* want some Smoshies over on Gastronauts, especially since there's been Smoshie episodes of Dropout already.
I think it may be heading in that direction. The biggest issue I see is that Smosh has, arguably, more "immature" content and Dropout is geared more towards the mature/adult side of humor and human experience. I can definitely see a lot of personalities clashing between the two. If there is some sort of merger, there will likely be cast changes. Noah, Keith, and now Trevor (who is already split between channels) will leave Smosh. Angela, and Chanse are going to need a big change, since they're both pretty immature and have built their onscreen personalities as such. Arasha will continue to bridge that gap between production and talent, but may end up either moving on or adapting her role. Courtney is starting to take more of a "behind the scenes/host" role in a lot of sketches, and I think she will want to move into that. Shayne and Amanda work well together, and will continue to be the go-to talent on the Smosh side. Ian and Anthony will continue stepping back and be more production/management than ever before. Just my two cents, though.
Am I the only one who wants some sort of conversation between Sam, Ian, and Anthony? I love this cast crossover we've been getting and hope it continues, but I also think it would be interesting to hear them discuss what its like running these companies and finding their audiences and some of the business side of things.
They both have very similar stories of being TH-cam channels I grew up watching that were acquired by companies that only cared about profits, then eventually buying back their company and finding success by simply making amazing content! I would love a conversation between Anthony, Ian, and Sam, especially after watching the conversation between Sam and the owner of Nebula.

I completely agree with Ify on the definition of TH-camr. There's a distinct difference between someone who's a TH-camr and someone who's on TH-cam. For example, Quinta Brunson was on TH-cam but I would have never called her a TH-camr.
I guess it all depends on what their background is and what they're known for. There are tons of Hollywood actors that have TH-cam channels, and tons of TH-camrs that are in Hollywood movies/shows. However, the majority stick to one side and only dabble in the other. There's the famous example of Justin Bieber starting on TH-cam, but he never had a following until he got picked up by a music label, so I wouldn't consider him a TH-camr.
I am in love with hearing about the profit share. I am so glad this company is committing to their values and carrying them into their business models. Such a shining example of moving towards a better corporate world.

the best part about that AP was when the entire cast is screeching CHEESE CONFETTI while murph is trying to be like "yes honey I understand exactly what you meant but what the fuck"
This was a great Dropout trio to have on. As a long time Dropout/College Humor fan and recent Smosh fan, it's really cool to see these two groups of funny and talented people collaborate. I think if you were to do another one with Dropout having Brennan and Sam on would garner some interesting assumptions. Also, I'd love to see a Naddpod assumptions.
When Vic says she doesnt think people want to know the real cast members and that people expect a kind of chaos goblin energy in their day to day that isnt really who she is, I think that is probably true for a lot of Dropout fans but definitely not a uniform thing. For me I love Dropout because I do get a genuine glimpse at the cast. I got to see Jess Ross' wedding, Ally genuinely make effort to mend their friendship with Grant at the end of Total Forgiveness, and Hank Green try standup for this first time (with a lot of prep and coaching from supportive people). I dont ever think im getting the whole picture of who these people are, but it just feels like a genuine privilege to have content that is both funny and clever while also feeling genuine, healthy, and human. These are of course just glimpses, im sure theyre less than 10% of who these people are, but those glimpses are what make Dropout truly unique compared to every other content producer right now. It's like what if Big Brother focused on genuinely positive parts of humanity instead of searching for drama, and then layered it with the best improv in the game right now.
Ify stating "People that connect with me are kinky and polyamorous" and I'm sitting over here Asexual and monogamous and I just find it funny cause Ify is up there in favored comedians
The fact that Ify decided to shoot his (and his partner's) shot with Grimes like he was casually handing out a business card makes me feel like it's gonna happen and I love that for them
Would really love to see Ify on a Reddit stories about poly/enm episode. There is so much stigma around poly relationships, and I feel like he knows his stuff
There were several times in the video where Vic especially gave acknowledgment and appreciation to Courtney's struggles on being a femme-presenting queer person in a comedy platform. Amazing people. This tugs to my heartstrings really hard.
Ally and Vic together is the chaos that I didn't know I needed so badly. They riff off each other so well and Ify just jumping in whenever, is so good.
I'd like to point out how cool it was of Ify to let the others talk when the topic of parasocial relationships came up. He didn't interrupt anyone, or feel the need to add his two cents at the end. He let the people who have to deal with the hardest side of that issue speak and took a back seat on that topic, and I think that's really cool. Specially because I'm sure he also has had to deal with that sort of stuff, but not on the same level as the other three.
Smosh and Dropout crossovers are interesting cause they're both case-studies on how to revitilize and old brand on the decline, but they went completely different ways of doing it
This format is incredible. The hosting is so well executed and strategically moderated. The editing respects everyone. The guests are deeply insightful. What an amazing piece.
Ify has been one of my favorite comedians for a very very long time. Seeing him pop up from time to time everywhere has been awesome. I wish I could see one of his shows
Vic is probably my favorite Dropout member, just because of what they bring to the table with their improv. They’re so witty, and they’re quick on their feet, I love seeing them shine in outlets like Make Some Noise and Game Changer, but also their ability to yes-and in Very Important People. Everything that comes out of their mouth is incredible, and they’re also so humble and introverted.
Great stuff! I love seeing Dropout people in different formats. Also I gotta say the lighting in this video is amazing, especially on Courtney. Great work from the camera and light crew.
Ify really survived achievement hunter to make it to a better place. Always loved watching his content, wherever he was, but I’m happy this is where he’s ended up
oh my god............................THAT's how I know Ify????? I could not place it, I really think AH rotted out a piece of my brain T__T thank god he survived it LOL
As someone who has found most of you on dropout, I love seeing you guys be yourselves and do stuff like this. I enjoy seeing you guys be people as well as charcuteries
I love it when creators and influencers are overwhelmingly themselves and don’t try to paint themselves as rated E for everyone. It’s so much enjoyable listening to people who are just trying to be as true to themselves as much as they can be without having to always have a mask on. It makes it easier for others to do the same.
This was great insight into the three of them, culture of improv, and people in general. At the end of the day we're all people and we should talk to people and listen to them to hear how they really tick. Love Vic, Ify, and Ally and thanks for filming this and having them on, Anthony/Courtney!
I agree with the "they don't want to know us" sentiment. If there was a natural connection outside of content, then yea absolutely. Someone is like, hey this *whoever* and they want to play a game with our group. If not, then no, I enjoy the content but they are their own people.
All of this Dropout x Smosh content recently is interesting. A) 2 "reborn" channels/content groups are promoting each other and finding similarities between their experiences, and it's literally nothing more than that. OR B) This is a way to ease fans of both into a Dropout/Smosh extended universe where both groups are feeling each other out and seeing if they mesh, leading to an eventual merger of sorts.
So fun to see this group of Dropout cast! Incredible episode. All three are magnificent, but I gotta share that Vic was instantly one of my favorite performers anywhere after their Make Some Noise episode.
Forreal! I love hearing her on podcasts! So used to hearing her yelling on games or in a TNLT where she’s not talking directly into a mic. I’d love for her to read me bedtime stories 😂
I grew up watching college humor sketches like a lot of people here. i feel like a lot of people don't remember it was founded all the way back in the 90's, long before youtube was even a thing. once youtube started becoming THE place to watch internet videos i kinda forgot about college humor and spent most of my time on this site watching whatever i could get my grubby little hands on. I'm glad they have made a comeback, nowadays its literally the only subscription for a streaming service i have. I just pirate everything else I want to watch. which isn't a lot because most big Hollywood media franchises are just unwatchable to me.
I'm happy the Dropout crew is doing great. I remember hearing Vic show up on improv4humans years ago and loving them. It's so exciting to see people you've been following for a long time succeed. I mean, Ify, which I very much remember from Geek and Sundry, is just killing it in everything I see him in. So, congrats everyone. Look forward to more.
This video feels like that scene from ratatouille where Remy eats cheese and a strawberry at the same time MY TWO FAVOURITE COMEDY GROUPS TOGETHER IN ONE VIDEO SAVED MY LIFE‼️‼️‼️
I was a big CollegeHumor fan, and seeing all these wonderfully talented people who made those sketches/performed or created in that arena (similar to Smosh!) grow beyond the stuffy company and carve their own path has been very enlightening for me as a creative, even from a natural distance as an audience member. This interview was such a great time, and it was wonderful to get more insight into the inner workings! Keep it up, everyone!
I am obsessed with the Smosh/Dropout crossover events happening as of late. And I know the thumbnail of this video says "CollegeHumor is dead", but I would love to see a "CollegeHumor All-Nighter" type stream with cast members from both companies. Imagine it: A LIVE Game Changer, Make Some Noise, Dirty Laundry, Try Not To Laugh, Eat It or Yeet It, and all the other great fun things both streamers do. 2025 is the year. Anything is possible!
Brennan Lee Mulligan to me is one of the most talented people alive today and any platform who has him on their roster will succeed. Dropout is full of talented people, but Brennan is special.
Honestly, if Smosh still remained an independent entity while moving their streaming to Dropout and maintaining a collaborative relationship I would 1000% support it
Came for the interview, but stayed to read all the credits and Licensing. I LOVE that you post all that information and links...im a sucker for a contract.
Courtney knows her stuff. Its good to see a more "serious" side of comedians, "mask off" if you will as goofy people are often really clued in! Same goes to the cast of Dropout, really talented funny but also clued in people! eg: the way courtney distinguishes so called fans who are actually stalkers who see themselves as fans by are not since a fan does not act like that. That shows understanding between reality and appearance and language, perception etc.. super cool to see

ahh always awesome to see ally, but the community post had me anticipating zac on more smosh content! hope he comes on with more dropout members eventually
I was totally expecting to see Zac as well - maybe something came up and Ally stepped in.
I believe the Grilled Cheese reference is to an unhinged D20 Adventuring Party where Emily Axford talks about making a grilled cheese for the first time using "cheese confetti" (shredded cheese). 25:50
People also miss Murph falling further in love with his wife while the rest of the group are gobsmacked lol
the best part about that AP was when the entire cast is screeching CHEESE CONFETTI while murph is trying to be like "yes honey I understand exactly what you meant but what the fuck"
There’s also the Shane Gillis joke about his uncle Danny 😂
This was a great Dropout trio to have on. As a long time Dropout/College Humor fan and recent Smosh fan, it's really cool to see these two groups of funny and talented people collaborate. I think if you were to do another one with Dropout having Brennan and Sam on would garner some interesting assumptions. Also, I'd love to see a Naddpod assumptions.
Ooo, yes! I love naddpod!
“No but I LOVE Mormons” Vic is so funny omfg 😭😭
The fact I know they have Mormon family members, because they've mentioned it before.
Vehicular, Blayne and Saint Beardsley of Our Blessed Dice? Yeah please and thank you!
I missed the conception of Blayne can someone explain that one haha
@@Brooke_Corbyn Black Shayne from Ify's bit on Smosh Try Not To Laugh
@Silent_Salieri oh great I'll have to find it ty haha
Ify stating "People that connect with me are kinky and polyamorous" and I'm sitting over here Asexual and monogamous and I just find it funny cause Ify is up there in favored comedians
I did not even know that stuff about him. I just find him funny.
I'm ace and those two things LMAO
the cross section in the kink and poly community with the ace community is so real tho lol
When Dropout first announced the profit sharing model is when I fully committed to buying an annual subscription
Ally's layoff story is so awful, I am so angry about how that stuff went down.
The Fauci ouchie is wild lmao
The fact that Ify decided to shoot his (and his partner's) shot with Grimes like he was casually handing out a business card makes me feel like it's gonna happen and I love that for them
Would really love to see Ify on a Reddit stories about poly/enm episode. There is so much stigma around poly relationships, and I feel like he knows his stuff
there's not stigma, there's justified judgement.
@@thebookofsand how is it justified? If everyone involved is aware of it and consents, what's the problem?
courtney interacting with ally and vic , i feel unreal
this is super awesome , tysm
You're right Ify that's exactly how I connect with you, love the openness about it and seeing other kinky poly people in media makes me so happy!
Been waiting for this one!
Ally's Barracuda reference at 15:03 was absolute fucking gold.
Great stuff! I love seeing Dropout people in different formats. Also I gotta say the lighting in this video is amazing, especially on Courtney. Great work from the camera and light crew.
I love both of these fuckin goober fun companies. It’s like they’re first or second cousins of each other
I would never have guessed that Beardsley's full first name wasn't Ally. My entire worldview is shifted!
I’m going to walk around LA carrying a hotdog just in case I run into Vic. Don’t let me down, Vic.
"Hey Vic, remember that episode of Assumption?"
[look down at hotdog]
[then back up at Vic]
[nod]
"looks really throwable, doesn't it?"
He was in AH? What time period? I watched mainly for Micheal and Gav, so I only watched videos where they mainly featured.
This is an absurdly OP roundtable and host. Love all of them.
Ify has always seemed like the chillest friendliest dude in literally everything I've seen him in lol
This was one of the best episodes they get along so well it is hard to watch without putting on a smile
Hearing that you guys get profit sharing made me genuinely happy for you in a way I didn't expect. Love you guys! Dropout is the best.
I HOPE THEY INVITE COURT TO DROPOUT!!!
This was great insight into the three of them, culture of improv, and people in general. At the end of the day we're all people and we should talk to people and listen to them to hear how they really tick. Love Vic, Ify, and Ally and thanks for filming this and having them on, Anthony/Courtney!
Beardsley is such a legend
I agree with the "they don't want to know us" sentiment.
If there was a natural connection outside of content, then yea absolutely.
Someone is like, hey this *whoever* and they want to play a game with our group.
If not, then no, I enjoy the content but they are their own people.
All of this Dropout x Smosh content recently is interesting. A) 2 "reborn" channels/content groups are promoting each other and finding similarities between their experiences, and it's literally nothing more than that. OR B) This is a way to ease fans of both into a Dropout/Smosh extended universe where both groups are feeling each other out and seeing if they mesh, leading to an eventual merger of sorts.
i'm kinda looking forward to a crossover but not that much because i don't pay for dropout so i'd be missing out stuff lol
So fun to see this group of Dropout cast! Incredible episode.
All three are magnificent, but I gotta share that Vic was instantly one of my favorite performers anywhere after their Make Some Noise episode.
Court's voice so close and clear is great i feel like i could hear them talk about anything for hours
Is wild too how much of a ship of theseus the company is, there must've been 3-4 full cycles where they rotated everyone working there
i’m so glad dropout is as successful as it is
I'm happy the Dropout crew is doing great. I remember hearing Vic show up on improv4humans years ago and loving them. It's so exciting to see people you've been following for a long time succeed. I mean, Ify, which I very much remember from Geek and Sundry, is just killing it in everything I see him in. So, congrats everyone. Look forward to more.
This video feels like that scene from ratatouille where Remy eats cheese and a strawberry at the same time MY TWO FAVOURITE COMEDY GROUPS TOGETHER IN ONE VIDEO SAVED MY LIFE‼️‼️‼️
“I’m a chronic oversharer” we love to see that kind of representation. Thank you Ify
courtney you´re so perfect as the host of the dropout episode of assumptions❤
I was a big CollegeHumor fan, and seeing all these wonderfully talented people who made those sketches/performed or created in that arena (similar to Smosh!) grow beyond the stuffy company and carve their own path has been very enlightening for me as a creative, even from a natural distance as an audience member. This interview was such a great time, and it was wonderful to get more insight into the inner workings! Keep it up, everyone!
Courtney still having to mention Pratt is phenomenal
I am obsessed with the Smosh/Dropout crossover events happening as of late. And I know the thumbnail of this video says "CollegeHumor is dead", but I would love to see a "CollegeHumor All-Nighter" type stream with cast members from both companies. Imagine it: A LIVE Game Changer, Make Some Noise, Dirty Laundry, Try Not To Laugh, Eat It or Yeet It, and all the other great fun things both streamers do. 2025 is the year. Anything is possible!
Anthony Padilla Channel is killing it with Guests and Perfect Hosts Combo! 🙌🙌🙌
I love Court so muchhhhhh, I'm so happy she's a host 💕💕💕
Brennan not being obsessed with birds is the biggest plot twist of a century.
Brennan Lee Mulligan to me is one of the most talented people alive today and any platform who has him on their roster will succeed. Dropout is full of talented people, but Brennan is special.
I'm living for all these Dropout and Smosh collabs! I wouldn't even be surprised if one day y'all decided to merge or something.
Hope not. Would hate to lose smosh behind a paywall
@@pkt86737 yeah that would suck for us non american people
this episode is so giggly and i love it- the chemistry between these 3 (and courtney) is palpable
I've never watched Dropout but 1 minute in and I'm sold
it's so good! I planned to just have it for a month but I'm a regular now for sure.
@@Brooke_Corbyn same here, i only wanted to try for a month but the sub is so worth it, and cheap, too
You won't regret it. Best $6/mo I've ever spent.. just on D20 alone.
It is EPIC if you like dnd you should ABSOLUTELY watch d20 but if not theres so much other amazing content that theyve made!!
Is it just me or is Ally slowly turning into Theodore Roosevelt?
OMFG you're so right! Now I NEED to see them with Teddy's classic walrus mustache.
Honestly, if Smosh still remained an independent entity while moving their streaming to Dropout and maintaining a collaborative relationship I would 1000% support it
Came for the interview, but stayed to read all the credits and Licensing. I LOVE that you post all that information and links...im a sucker for a contract.
Whoever edited this is amazing
Vic is a brilliant human being
Yeah I wouldn't pull "chaos goblin" as their defining quality at all, I enjoy how sharp and dry they are
Courtney knows her stuff. That shows understanding between reality and appearance and language, perception etc.. super cool to see
VIP is my favorite show on drop out. Im so excited for season 2!
im crying laughing and im only 1:50 in
I would love to see an assumptions with the new Theorist hosts(Game Theory, Film, Food, Style theory)with MatPat asking the assumptions
