I did swap the pickups out on mine, but absolutely love this guitar. I’m considering another from the sun valley line at some point too.

    Cheers from France

I think you'll enjoy it. I play that guitar most often now. I did replace the pickups with a Seymour Duncan Jazz in the neck and a Duncan Custom for the bridge as well as swap out the pots and switch when I did the pickup swap. I couldn't be happier with it.

      @@MatthewAndChance I love it fore sure !
It's a real beauty with the Black Limba wood and the feeling is exactly what I was looking for.
The original pickups are great for Hard-Rock and Heavy-Metal. I Just set my amp with little less Gain & Treble.
The neck and the vibrato are fantastic too. I had to adapt to the 24 frets but now it's ok.
Very good quality/price range. Thanks Schecter !

Hi Matthew, Can I ask if that is the hardtail or floyd rose Exotic? I want to buy the FR version (my first FR) but I'm wondering about any negative impact on sustain. You seem to have all the sustain you require for your lovely solo. Have you perhaps tried both?

Hi. It is the hard tail exotic. I have had a Floyd Rose before but prefer a hard tail most of the time.

I forgot to mention that my previous experience with a FR wasn't bad, and I didn't notice a big sustain difference. Tuning stability was definitely good once setup correctly, but as with any tremolo, string bends will alter the pitch of all the strings, so it was definitely more challenging for me.

@@MatthewAndChanceYou're right about the bending, Matthew-everything's connected in FR.. I tried unison bending on a trem, and found I had to bend the second string a touch to meet the pitch of the first (bent) string- have to use your ear. With a hardtail not necessary. Good to know the sustain is preserved, that will influence my choice.

Nice playing! I am thinking about buying exact same guitar, but Ziricote one. What is your experience with guitar so far?

This has become my favorite guitar in my collection. I did do some customizations to it though. I put a Seymour Duncan Jazz in the neck, and a Duncan Custom in the bridge. I replaced the volume pot with a CTS 500K linear audio taper, and the tone with a CTS 500K no load tone control and replaced the stock switch with a fender 5 way super switch. The stock setup wasn't bad to begin with, but I'm a big Seymour Duncan fan. I have a Fender American Ultra Stratocaster that I setup basically the same way, and I generally prefer the Schecter.

I am thoroughly impressed by the quality and sound of this astounding guitar. The effortless way in which the guitarist maneuvers and bends the strings is truly a joy to watch and listen to. The tones produced by this guitar are exceptional, particularly the blues tones that are rich and robust. Furthermore, the warm acoustic sound produced from this guitar without an amp is simply beautiful. I cannot believe that such an exquisite instrument could be sold at such a reasonable price. The stainless steel frets on this guitar are unparalleled in their smoothness, making bending notes a child's play for the guitarist. All in all, I am completely speechless and awestruck by this guitar and the incredible sound it produces.

@@peksin123 It is definitely my favorite of my guitars. Right behind it for me is my Charvel PRO-MOD DK24 HH HT E in satin black. It's a very similar feel, and the quality on that guitar is great too.
