Wow!… That’s a beautiful guitar. The red bowling ball finish looks much better than on their website. Tons of fun with the sustainiac pickup 🤘
So good to see you back making vids, Steve.
You should try the Nick Johnston strat from Schecter
Schecter just moved way up the list! That sustainiac is cool as can be! And, what a beautiful finish!
I wound up buying all 3 of the Reign version and not a single regret! The cost of what you pay for these is astounding. The body is actually Mahogany not Alder. Schecter didn't spare any expense in building these amazing guitars or cut any corners either. Yours is probably the best videos of these showing all the capabilities and features, tastefully done as always! Had any other builder made these and sold them you'd easily be paying $400 - $600 more without question! The neck is very close to an Ibanez Wizard Neck and is even more comfortable than my Ibanez JS1200CA.
I have a SVSS but in the Construction Yellow. I know that isn’t the real name of the color, but it’s more on point descriptively 😂
I have a Schecter SVSS & also a C1FRS, and they are both my main guitars now. Love em to death.
It really freaks people out when you demo those sustainer pickups with no amplifier. With all that gain, it seems like it’s the gain/feedback that’s making it happen. Just plug a cable into the guitar, to power the system on, and it’ll scream like that all by itself.
If you're using a DAW, check out AcouFiend by Blue Cat. You can do the Sustainiac-type thing on any guitar. It works really well and is tons of fun. Everything is adjustable.
Though... does require a battery!
I had a Schecter Blackjack with a Sustainiac back in 2018. It was a lot of fun. Eventually sold it to get something else.
Now I have a DigiTech FreqOut pedal which basically can make any of your guitars sound like it has a Sustainiac pickup.
I like that paint job on this Schecter SVSS. It's like Faux Finish Sponge Effect or something. Looks Cool
If you want value for money, Schecter is the way to go.
And they don't make just metal guitars, they have some more trad. style models ( Strats, Tele, V's, Single-cuts, Explorers and even semi-hollow bodies) that are great.
The Custom Solo-II ( basically a modernized L/P custom) and the Nick Johnston sign. models are amazing.
Love the wenge neck on my Super Shredder Exotic, similar guitar but no sustainer.
I got the sea foam Tele. shape Sun Valley Shredder, bought a year ago. I had wanted to get the sustainiac. couldn't find anything under $900.00. This one come up local at Brothers Music and Trade. asking a little under $800.00.Grabbed 4 of my good Squires ,2 tele--2 strats. and a prayer we could work out a trade. low and behold,we did. 4 for one. Did I need 18 volts of pick ups? did I need my first Floyd Rose? maybe not, but I love It. plus I still have Les Pauls ,strats and Telecasters. and One Wild Thing. I don't know if all work this way,,,The 3 way beside the on/off sustainiac, also gets 3 different pitches while you are in a feed back. get it in feed back hold it switch the toggle it will go higher Freq -Lower -or kinda a double Feedback. Rock-On -Steve.
Would like to see you try out a Schecter Demon loaded with fixed bridge .
Awesome review Steve! Thanks for the run !
I picked one of these up in white and this guitar is amazing in form, finish and playability. Shades of Jake E. Lee for sure. I mounted a Roland GK synth pickup and the sustain is amazing for the synth string sounds along with other sounds benefit from unlimited sustain. The only downside is the rather anemic sounding neck pickup which sounds like a Fender noiseless single coil going through heavy compression.
Nice. I always wanted to try one. Cool demo Steve👍
Looks like a Floyd Rose special Hot Rod. It’s a Schecter thing. It’s a Special with stainless steel screws.
Wow- that's crap, they used to have the 2000 series on them
@@tommyibanez3958 Got a San Dimas Pro Mod. FR 1000. MIM Strat with Floyd? Comes with a special. It was a deal breaker for me. I got a FR Special Hot Rod. It’s on my $550 Damien.
@@WickedFesterBand I wonder how much cheaper the Special is for these companies. They should all just switch over to the Gotoh 1996- they're inexpensive but made with good stuff and fantastically responsive. I recently changed almost every Floyd I have to the Gotoh. And, anyone switching out an Edge to a Floyd type- the Gotoh sits slightly more forward than a Floyd, so it can intonate on an Ibanez, where a Floyd is hit or miss.
I got the one in blue and black about a year ago. I love it.
What a great review!! Thank you sir!
Sounds and looks awesome! Nice
I love the sustainiac pickups.
Oh that’s glorious!
Gorgeous guitar…Schecter is another brand I have never held in my hands before 🤘
Always great, really enjoy your reviews. Thanks. Take care, keep rocking. 🤘
Beautiful guitar Steve
Wow, beautiful looking and playing guitar, the sustainiac is insanely good, I agree the harmonic setting is the best great review👍
Great looking finish, the Red kind of glows out of the black. Like a Bowling Ball. . Sustainiacs are fun, got my first one in a Schechter Blackjack. Now have them in a bunch of other guitars too. The novelty never completely wears off.. Thanks for the demo Dude..
Wow! That thing is beautiful!
Schon uses that sustainer to the limit. Pretty much has pioneered it. Not many seem to pay attention though.
I'm diggin' it and your playing shows off that guitar's capabilities. You can get evoke some cool Def Leppard tunes out of that similar to Phil Collen - I'm thinkin' "White Lightning!"
Just bought one of these!!!!... Waiting to be amazed!..
Nice looking guitar there Steve.
beautiful!
Yes, please!
Of ever single 30+ some guitars i bought from every genre since the 80's. My SS super shredder is the best money i ever spent. From Jacksons, Charvels, Esps, ESP Japan< ESP Customs that cost 4-5 k. BC's, Carvins, Fernandez, Yammies, Hamers everything, like i mean everything before the 2010's customs boom. I did not like Schechter's, until they released the SS. The neck, and the nut width and th4e control layout is that of a strat but better. Mine is the "exotic" version. I played the standard in a store a few years before and i was trying everything they had, SChecter7's Eclipse, Jacksons everything. And i played the SS, and it brought me back to my early 80's neck, narrow neck shredsickle. The one i pulled the plug on, is probably aesthetically the best one that will ever exist. It's a triple A specimen, natural finish. Not even my go to, I like Black with white binding and fk all else. I saw this sht on Sweetwater and i clicked buy. It; 's a guitar way more worthy than me. Jeff Beck should be playing this sht.
Yeah. I've got multiple ESP's, Charvel's, etc. Love my Sun Valley SS. Great ergonomics and the neck just feels right.
Cool guitar!
Damn Steve! U sold me on this, so I bought one! Damn you!! Lol!
Awesome freakin guitar ❤🤘
Very cool guitar
schecter makes some awesome guitars! i have a banshee mach 6 with an evertune and that thing is such a damn good guitar. they also have one with very similar specs to this guitar (floyd and sustainiac) definitely worth checking out 👍
Very... very... very... nice! Love my white and black SVSS FR S... great guitar for the money!
I've been looking these up all day. There's a blue one for $800 near me.
I got the Schecter SVSS PT FR-S (Tele shape, seafoam green) and I love it., but not the color. The Floyd Rose on it is a "hot rodded" FR and not the Hot Rod FR Series. Basically it's one of Floyd Rose's lowest quality tremolos with stainless steel screws. But I don't have any problems with it, as it seems to work just fine.
Steve, you may want to check out the Schecter Nick Johnston Traditional.
Dude, that's a burner 🔥..do i need one, no, ....do i want one YES 😂
That finish looks like Mother of Toilet Seat through a microscope. Love it!
sweeetttttttttttt schecter sustainiac
Im thinking if buying the new Schecter freak juice. That guitar just looks insane
That finish is pretty Hawt tha, Hawt Shawt 🔥
I have been eyeballing a few Schecters lately. Great stuff for the cash.
this isn't their first, they been making it for a long time, maybe not int he sun valley but sustaniacs for sure .. finish is dope .. its like the seran wrap type finishes..
Bro we got mad comments people are going nuts for that guitar
“It will never end, unless the battery runs out”. Please Steve, be more specific, how many days is that?
🤘😺
They do the Sun Valley with plain colors for $750.00 USD instead of $1000.00 USD
Jesus on rollerskates, dude! You are getting handed the keys to some beautiful, freaking B, E, A, U, tiful, guitars, Mr. Steve! Oh, man! Just gorgeous guitars.
I was just looking at a pre-owned silver/black one and it was stunning! I love guitar. One of the great things about them is there are different ones to suit our tone preference and feel. All the sustain, and the thin neck profile just doesn't work for me playing blues and country rock. If your a metal and hard rock guy this has you covered, and looking good! Great demo!! 8) --gary
Just buy a 149 dollar guitar. If it’s good enough for Tory Slusher, it’s good enough for you. She makes magic, and she teaches lessons. A pickup is a pickup is a pickup. Guitars and amps have nothing to do with it.
Been looking at these on Reverb for a while now, wish i could afford one ............ maybe some day !! :)
