I know there was a video of D,Yoakum singing Guitar Town!!! Can not find it anywhere on the Internet? ?? Do you know where I may find this video? ?? Thank you!
Poor Dwight will never get the credit from Country Music he deserves, he reminds me a lot of Willie Nelson Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings in the 70's and 80's when they were killing it and never got any recognition! His fans know how great he has been tho!
Dwight come slidin' in like a pimp!!! and I gotta say, Dwight's harmonies are severely under-appreciated... not only can he carry a song like a boss but he can respectfully back up other artists while still shinin'...
Dwight is a top star and can do live what he does on records.... I saw and heard him in the 1990s live. He's the real deal. And I grew up on hillbilly and early Porter/Dolly in B&W TV... in Bristol, TN. I know about country.
Unless you experienced him in the late 1960's, you don't have any idea at just how great this singer-songwriter-musician could be. He was so good on guitar and violin that he was featured in jazz magazines. What a talent!
Merle is the GOAT in my opinion. I have always loved Dwight and how he learned and understood the history of country music and paid proper respect to it. Dwight is an absolute legend in his own right.
Just saw Dwight in concert in Missouri - he was fantastic! Did 90 minutes w/o stopping - and a beautiful tribute to Mere, as well as Buck Owens. Made me proud to be a fan of real country musicians! (May 2017)
Watch Merle doesn’t keep his eyes of off Dwight. Such a gem of a video and we are all thankful for it. Dwight doing the broken leg cowboy was excellent. God bless the Hag.

Merle loved Dwight as did a lot of the older singers! All the people who do the thumbs down thing, I would love to hear them sing harmony with Merle Haggard on Swinging Doors (when I started writing)!! They are jealous because they can’t do anything!
djpaustin Oh C'mon..!!!! Stop the judgement. When a guy sings like that.. and having a Life like that, he transcends beyond all issues.. I wish there could be at least a couple among the present modern country singers holding with 1/100th of their (DY and Hag) taste and talent and holding up their flag and keeping it flying high... I am sorry but the current male country stars aren’t even in the same type of race. There will be no one to fill their shoes for a very long time. Sad to say.
So cute how Merle adds his own fancy footwork to match Dwight's.... how awesome to see 2 country legends come together and collaborate on a classic song!!! Pure Enjoyment!!!
What a treat. Merle gave him some room and rightfully so. Dwight had the chops to hang with the greats. You could see the old boy get lit up by magic of the performance.
Two legends having a great time! Always respected Dwight for not just sticking with what he knew worked and trying different things and his respect and love he had for the true great country artists of the past.

Agree...Dwight has made his mark and everyone loves him...i was in Nashville when they didnt want him .but Buck knew what a great artist he was...Dwight kicked ass and now they want him..had the pleasure of meeting him in the 80s..he was so nice...love this man
I miss you Merle, just knowing you're no longer on this earth makes me sad. There will be another who will write or sing a song like you.... you left a hole in the world when you passed
As a Nationwide Trucker, I would load a Merle Haggard disc, on the West Coast, and give it a "whirl with Mr. Merle," all the way across until the Atlantic Ocean was up ahead. Later on Dwight showed up. He gave him a lot of help. Oh, I forgot, so did Emmy Lou and Willie.
Me, too. Loved Merle the first time I heard him many, many years ago, before he was as famous as he became. I pegged him; I said, "That's my guy, the best singer." And a great writer. He set an example for everyone who followed.
Merle Haggard is with out a dout the best thing that ever happened to country music thats what good country music supposed to sound like and Dwight Y. is a true pro comes out and sings perfect pitch harmony
