@David Owen You think you have regrets. I'm pushing sixty and spent most of my life listening to rock music, buying into the stereotype that Country Music was all about crying in your 🍺 and your woman leaving you for another guy (okay, into my thirties anyhow). I just started getting into Country big-time in the past few years and Merle Haggard this year. Boy, I missed out on a lot!

To some degree I see that. Some of his facial expressions. It a shame we couldn’t see Buddy Holy mature, and make more music. He was a genius. We owe a lot to him! I don’t know if you like The Flying Burrito Brothers.? They loved Merle Haggard! Gram Parsons was also one of those genius’s that left us too early. Their version of Sing Me Back Home, and The Bottle Let Me Down , were a great homage to Merle, and Country music.✌️
@@KyleStansfeld-zi6gc Yeah, I've got a couple "Flying Burrito Brothers" live performances saved. Talented group. I'm trying to get somebody to react to Emmylou Harris "Beneath Still Waters". Can't believe that no one has reacted to that yet. Love, Emmylou, but to be honest I saw Lisa Stewert perform this song when she was a regular on Music City Tonight, Her live version from back around 1994 was just incredible, every bit as good as Emmylou's recorded version. I wish that I could find it on TH-cam. Lisa was an awesome singer in her own right. Have no idea why she never made it big. Incredible polished Stage Presence and Drop-Dead Gorgeous lady. Never learned what became of her second album that she had half completed and sang a couple of songs from when she came back on the show. To my knowledge, it was never released. Even if the record label folded, which is probably the case, you would have thought she would have been snatched up by someone else pretty quickly.
