The most skillful and intelligent player I have ever seen in my life. You can talk about stats all you want. But when it's time to get it done, he gets it done damnit
The most polished offensive weapon ever. Fundamentals, footwork, the IQ, all the intangibles. I mean, I remember at MSG in '09, he fakes out a jumpshot against Wilson Chandler and gets him in the air, then turns the pivot foot and takes the shot? Beautiful. The consecutive 50-point games in '06-'07. All the injuries through the years. Ravaging the Orlando Magic in the '09 Finals. Man, the best. Talk about stats all you want -- but when its time to get it done -- he gets it done. #Ko3e24
most of the people here did not watch him play in his prime years. He was easily the most polished offensive weapon this game has ever seen since jordan. a cold blooded assasin. maybe not the best overall player, but offensively he was on a another level. arguably the best "toughest" shot maker ever.
I agree.. Isiah Thomas said something 2 the tone of .. when Jordan come into the league he was the fastest leaper they had ever seen with a 42" vertical and on a diff athletic scale that they had never played against .. Now each NBA team has 3-4 guys like that .. I'm not sure who is the best guard ever but for anyone 2 make any kind of argument and kobe not be in that discussion its just plane out crazy ... I grew up watching Jordan .. then got 2 see Kobe's career unfold and he was by far the closest thing we saw .. he was just an assassin he had that fire .. that competitive edge .. it was a beautiful thing 2 see and A lot of the nba players now days miss that edge
purple shirt man hey man believe what you want but none of what you said will change tgevfact the kobe is one if the best players ever. Plus everyone who has scored a ton is on the most missed fgs list. Kareem, MJ, Malone are all on the list man. if mj played 20 years he would have have that record. just means they were good for a very long time.
FvnesseGvd 15 loool Lebron 😂 5 finals losses to 5 rings kobe lebron? Get out of here. Lebron is lucky kobe didnt have his switching teams mentality or kobe would have gone to the spurs or prime suns and would have 7-8 rings right now
@Art Alvarez Diffrence between Kobe fans and LeBron fans. Kobe fans admit greatness of Kobe and LeBron. LeBron fans, use every excuse or metric to put him up there with the best. Ask any of the greats who would they pick. They have said it 10 times over Kobe > LeBron. But i guess fans have selective hearing or something
If all these LEGENDS are stating Kobe Bryant is GREATNESS then how can a kobe hater beileve kobe sucks simply because they don't like him? You don''t have to LIKE a player but to deny there greatness because of hatred is ungrateful. Nonetheless, we all should admire to witness a once in a lifetime player who has cemented a legacy on the wood floor that will forever remain.
Kobe Bryant will forever be the second greatest shooting guard to ever play this game. From the shot, to the foot work, to the explosiveness, to the legendary work ethic, to the relentless, unparalleled killer instinct, this guy's name will forever be synonymous with the word greatness. I'm truly honored to say I grew up watching Kobe Bryant play the game that I love.
Stats is all u clowns know. What about these stats avg 40 points in 4 different months while getting doubled playing with bums like Kwame and smush Parker
In the 6th grade i had to debate a kid which rookie was better Kobe or Iverson. I lost that debate but we see how Kobes career turned out. Thank you Mamba for 20 years of memories.
It still hasn’t hit me that Kobe has passed away. To be honest I don’t think it ever will. Especially with Gigi too 😔. Kobe was my role model growing up and I still look up to him to this day. It just doesn’t make sense. My heart goes out to his family and all of the other families affected by this tragedy. Rest in Paradise! You’ll never be forgotten. 💜💛
Idc what anyone says. Everyone wants to run to stats. ESPN always trying to run down Kobe’s legacy but all the Legends respect him and see him as one of the GOATS. MJ himself said that’s there’s only one guy that could probably beat him. And that man is Kobe Bean Bryant.
Nowadays most of the stars in the league are chasing stats, joining forces looking so desperate to win titles and splitting right after they fail to do so. Kobe stayed loyal and worked with what he had rather than making excuses.
Just like most people here, I grew up watching Kobe "Jellybean" Bean Bryant. Im a 2000s guy so Kobe is for me, my generation's jordan. He is one of my top 5 favourite players of all time. For anyone who is interested in what my top 5 is, it is jordan, bird( underrated player in my opinion by the way), kobe(obviously), lebron james and magic johnson.😀🏀8️⃣↔️2️⃣4️⃣ rest in peace Kobe Bean Bryant! ❤🏀😀2️⃣4️⃣
NBA legends will always put Kobe on a high regard. They know he's the guy next to His Airness. Meanwhile, media and a bunch of low-IQ people will argue that stats suggest that Kobe is not even Top 10. Let that sink in... I have Kobe as my #6. His latter injury-filled years seriously deriled his position. I am not insinuating it's his fault that he got those injuries, but at the end of the day, it quite hurt his legacy. He could've accomplished more if those horrible injuries never plundered him of a good 2-3 years.
When people talk about the greatest of all time, it's what you accomplished on the court. You look back on it, no one needs to tell you dogg, you know what you did.
Media and Analyst and everyone loved to hate on this guy. And now they are trying to force down our throat by saying this is great and that is great. Come on! Basketball players knew who was great. Love it.
I have mad respect for LeBron, but the most important stat Kobe has in his arsenal is this: he won 5 NBA titles with the Lakers, the most glaring spotlight in the NBA. No team in the NBA has more pressure on it to win than the Lakers. It is akin to what the Yankees face in baseball. If LeBron manages to win at least one with the Lakers, his legacy is set. Until then, the Mt. Rushmore of sports in the 21st century is Kobe Bryant, Derek Jeter, and Tom Brady.
greatest shot maker and if he would had better shot selection (which must be had with his ability)he probably could of been the best ever. he could pass and play D same as jordan and lebron he just didn't cause he played hero ball, exciting to watch though
What the masses don't understand is that Lebron has been playing his whole career on the east coast. The best team Lebron has ever beaten in his conference was an aging Boston team, while Kobe played in the West, with the likes of Spurs, Suns, the early 2000 Kings, Prime Dirk Nowitzki with the Mavs. Lebron couldn't beat Dwight Howard and a bunch of shooters until he joined 2 other superstars. Prime Lebron couldn't beat Dirk Nowitzki, with prime Wade and Bosh. I'll give credit where credit is due, what he did to GSW in 2016 was just plain NASTY! and the 7 game spurs series was legit but lucky (credit to Ray Allen). but other than that all he did was beat an extremely young Thunder team. Comparing stats especially between Kobe and Lebron makes it seem that Lebron was better but if both of them switched positions, Kobe would have a way higher PPG and better FG%, better 3PT% (easy conference plus more fast paced, attack focused game)and at least 5 rings. Don't even get me started on Kobe's defense vs Lebron's in their prime. One on One, Prime Kobe would murder Prime Lebron
Work ethic;no doubt. He also ha a father who was an exceptional basketball player. Kobe mentioned that when he goes to the Hall of Fame he would either PHIL Jackson or MJ to be be there with him. II'm don't no what the problem in fact, I dont care. He should have his father there with him: Joe Bryant. Without him do the math!

Jordan could not break .500 without Pippen. Kobe carried a team to the playoffs post-Shaq. Let that sink in for a second.
That bulls team won 50+ games without Jordan and won playoff series lol.
Randy Randerson oh that bulls team won a ring? Without pippen and Jordan together? I didn’t know that what year?

No team in the NBA has more pressure on it to win than the Lakers. It is akin to what the Yankees face in baseball. If LeBron manages to win at least one with the Lakers, his legacy is set. Until then, the Mt. Rushmore of sports in the 21st century is Kobe Bryant, Derek Jeter, and Tom Brady.
greatest shot maker and if he would had better shot selection (which must be had with his ability)he probably could of been the best ever. he could pass and play D same as jordan and lebron he just didn't cause he played hero ball, exciting to watch though
10 kobe haters with the dislike smh!
Damn the girl at 2:29
What the masses don't understand is that Lebron has been playing his whole career on the east coast.
No
Work ethic;no doubt.
I wonder if the Legends will speak like that about LeBron when he retires.
Kobe>MJ don’t @ me
0:12 is that Steve Harvey?
kobe the most hated player in the nba
I think Iverson would have been the goat if he had Kobe’s work ethic. Maybe Shaq too
