The media has brainwashed fans, but not you. A ton of similarities, cause why wouldn’t you try to imitate the greatest? Lol. But his footwork was probably the best we’ve ever seen, even above Jordan.

voibits he ain’t lying lol watch whole games of Kobe and not just side by side video when they do the same moves. That’s easy to do with anybody, you know how many players do the same moves as each other? Crossovers, reverse layups, pump fakes, dream shake, fade-aways, etc. the whole league has access to the same exact moves and evolves with the times. Saying Kobe copies Michael because he had a post fade is ridiculous. There’s definitely a myriad of moves I’ve seen both of them do that the other doesn’t but y’all just stuck on what they did the same.

This is how I will remember Kobe: the "only" NBA player who had his 2 jerseys hangin' on the ceiling. 8 / 24
When your kid asks about that jersey: just like, Hey! dad, Bryant 8 and Bryant 24 are brothers? Are they twins?
And then you were like, No son, it is just one man, Kobe.

LeGOAT James Lebron is my favorite player of all time but I grew up on him and Kobe. I hate comparing them cause all people do are whine and argue about who’s better when it reality we just appreciate what they both brought to the game. Kobe was an amazing player and kept excitement in the game after MJ left. He’s one of the all time greats and the game isn’t the same without him on the court when the Lakers play. Once Lebron retires people will realize how special he was and instead of comparing him to others they should’ve just appreciated his greatness. Him and Kobe always give each other much respect, it’s just the fans love to argue about bs.

+Kevin K Facts bro, All MJ haters probably begged him to stay once he retired, same with Kobe haters and it'll be the same with LeBron haters.. they should learn to appreciate greatness while it's here but now worries, people like us get to enjoy it all 😎

The ppl don't believe Lebron is better than Kobe. ESPN has ran multiple nationwide polls comparing them and on average about 70 percent always chose Kobe. The overwhelming majority of the players, hall of fame players (including Magic, Bird, and MJ), and coaches all chose Kobe. The media is the only talking about this whole Lebron vs MJ. The overwhelming majority all know Lebron hasn't passed Kobe. They bring up analytics because it benefits a stat stuffer type of player but they leave out how he jumped from team to team ring chasing. How he's always stayed in the very weak eastern conference AND with all of that has a disappointing 3 and 5 record. That's under 50 percent.

    Kobe:
Coaches - Del Harris, Phil Jackson, Rudy T, Mike Brown, Mike dantoni, Byron Scott
    Lebron:
    Coaches - Himself since 2003
    Kobe:
    Superteams - 2004, 2013

    Superteams - 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017
    Kobe:
All star teammates - Shaq, Pau Gasol
    Lebron:
All star teammates - Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love, Dwyane Wade, Isaiah Thomas, Chris Bosh

That 2013 team wasn't really a superteam though. Because 1) Nash is already washed up, 2) Pau is also washed up, 3) Dwight sucked that year, and wasn't really Dwight, and 4) their starting five rarely played together in reality, because of injuries over the season.
They got to the playoffs for one reason and one reason only: Because Kobe went absolutely bonkers and willed them to 45 wins, before rupturing his heel.

Kobe was surely one of the most clutch players ever, but he is also the most inefficient clutch players ever if you look at the percentage of makes to attempts in the clutch. Kobe made more clutch shots than most dudes, but he also missed way more than anyone ever. So you both have sounds arguments really...

Max represents the Media. Max is missing the point. If you only see the similarities, you miss out on the rest. Kobe did other things. The players pick Kobe because they know what it takes. Kobe has moves and skills Michael did not get to display. Kobe is Kobe. Look at his highlight real and you'll see the differences as well. Simple minded people think simple things. History, the current players are already proving Max's statement wrong. He means the Media. MVP is a media award. Media can say what they want but the players and the fans know better

Game 3 of the 2017 NBA finals, last seconds, game on the line: Everybody on the Warriors know that LeBron will pass to get the assist for a triple double. Curry certainly know that cause he fakes being trapped on K.Love's screen, then proceed to defend well on Korver = Missed shot = Warriors 3 - Cavs 0.
Stats don't tell the whole story. If I'm trying to win championships, I take Kobe over LeBron.

      Points per game
      Rebounds per game
      Assists per game
      Steals per game
      Blocks per game
      Fg%
      3pt %
      PER
      Win Shares
      Mvps
      Finals MVPs
And at the end of this season all first team
      NBA selections.
      Now that’s a fact.

Kobe has a career average of 25 5 5. Thats after retirement and an accumulation of all the years he's played. LeBron is 27 9 9 and is in his 15th year. Hes not done yet so naturally he'll have higher averages since he is still healthy and playing. When he is done, it will most likely drop due to age and decline.
head to head shouldnt matter. Kobe has a higher head to head comparison with MJ. doesn't make Kobe better nonethless Kobe came in right as MJ was basically done. it's a team effort for games head to head not individual player. LeBron has a had a better team than Kobe most of those games especially after he joined the heat.

People forget how ridiculous Kobe was at the prime of his career. When he was at his absolute peak, I don't think there was any player who could compare to him, not even MJ in his prime. That 06 season, Kobe had like 6 50+ pt games, 25 40+ pt games, the 62 against Dallas in 3 quarters, and of course the 81 pt game. All of that was WITH the double and triple teams he was facing because the rest of the starting 5 was Lamar Odom, Kwame Brown, Smush Parker, and Chris Mihm.

Because their is no such thing as a 'killer instinct'. Its not palpable nor measurable. It's just a made up thing people use to criticize whatever argument they are trying to make and especially when you have it branded it on you (i.e Kobe) people will gloss over all the times you missed and only remember the times you got it (which is way less than what you missed). You can't say lebron doesn't have killer instincts when he has the most points in the 4th quarter this season than anybody and has better clutch statistics than Kobe (look it up) while he's not even a shooter, he's a facilitator.

    • @LEX-yd4if
      @LEX-yd4if 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

SOLOAMANTES Someone with 3 Finals MVPs, who only Jordan has more than, has to have some sort of Killer Instinct... You don't lead three teams to championships if you ain't got it. End of story. He's just more of facilitating type dude, whereas Kobe would just shoot til he made it. Kobe had many game-winners, but he also had many game-winning MISSES, as well as many times where he caused them to lose because he was 8 for 30 shooting. LeBron's one or two bad moments are more glaring because he's was so scrutinized. Kobe had his horrible moments, too. We just choose not to remember them...

    • @LEX-yd4if
      @LEX-yd4if 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @HumanLikeButton 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

The ball went to Paxson and Kerr instead of Jordan don't you remember in the Finals? You know Lebron has better shots made/shots attempts in final seconds than Jordan. Where was Kobe during game 7 finals vs Celtics? Where he went cold.. in game 7. Just because you shoot better doesn't mean your a better player otherwise Curry would be the greatest NBA player and so would Durant because of him trajecting to be the greatest scorer of all time. Theirs a reason why everybody puts Lebron ahead of Kobe bc of Lebrons ability to do more than scoring unlike Kobe. And either way Lebron is about pass Jordan and Kobe in scoring in playoffs, regular seasons and finals while not leading in most MISSED shot attempts which Kobe is number #1 in so... In every statistic category, Lebron is better than Kobe at lol

Objective Argument for Kobe over Bron (and Magic and Bird and any other non Big)
    Kobe over Bron
    1. Kobes a better DEFENDER.
Thats half of the argument won there.
To keep things in perspective, MJ was a A+ defender for over a decade. He was defensive player of the year. Lead the league in steals numerous times. Was 1st team All Defensive 9 times.
Kobe was a A defender 10 years straight and a B or B+ defender for about 2-3 years.
Kobe has 12 all defensive team selections and 9 for first team. Him and MJ ate tied for most first team all defense selections.
Kobe is second all time in most all team defense selections with 12 only behind Tim Duncan.
Bron was an A defender for 5-years at most. And a B defender for another 1-3 years.
He has only 5 first team first team selections and 1 second team. In his 17 years he was considered an elite defender 5 times and a good defender 1 other time.
    2a. Lets talk offense.
Now before you bring the “effeminacy” argument and wrongfully knock all of Kobes offensive off.
Kobe having a 45% fg and Bron having a 50% fg means literally this.
If both took 20 shots Kobe hits 9 while Bron hits 10.
However, if you carefully look from where these shots are coming you will “easily” see who is the more versatile scorer. Kobe is a legit threat from anywhere at anytime while Brons gets close to 65%-75% of his shots from with in 10 feet and that too in a league which has eliminated the Power forward position and has shifted centers to the perimeter hence the Lane and paint are open and not heavily protected unlike when Kobe played and definitely unlike when MJ played.
Also, offensively Kobe is not a liability from anywhere rather a threat and Bron is a *liability* from the “free throw line” especially in late games. This virtually minimizing his greatest strength which is to attack the basket and getting to the rim.
Both Kobe and Bron have 15 all Nba team selections.
While Bron has 12 first teams to Kobes 11, Kobe was riddled with Injury his final 3-4 years.
Kobe has finished top ten in MVP voting 12 times and top 5 in MVP voting 11 times.
(The MVP voting is by the media and there’s no doubt that he got robbed of at least 2-3 MVPs)
Bron has finished top five in mvp race 13 times and top ten 14 times.
2b. However, for argument sake even if we say Bron is an A offensively and Kobe is an A-, this difference in offensive greatness is more insignificant than the difference in both players on the defensive end.
    Overall Kobe edges Bron.
    3. When looking at the intangibles.
While Bron physically gets the players around him more involved he doesn’t impact their greatness or potential to be better. In fact the research shows that Lebrons teammates actually underperform while playing with him and perform better when not playing with him.
Kobes teammates have stated the impact Kobe has had on their game. While he will not physically get his teammates as involved as Bron does by passing the ball (largely due to the triangle offense design) Kobes work ethic and leadership demands the BEST version of his teammates and he pushes them to reach their potential.
Also Kobes will, determination, mental toughness during adversity is unparalleled. This also has a trickling effect on his teammates.
This is something Kobes an A+ at and Lebron, while he has improved but nothing more than a B+ and that too he developed after teaming up with D wade.
    Enough Said.

It is not because they play the same position, it is because he emulated Jordan and fell just a little short.. So a debate on Jordan vs Kobe is pointless, because if you are starting a franchise everyone is going to choose the player who did that style best, which was Jordan. Now other great players you can find an argument for, because they may bring different things to the table; and at that point it just depends on what you are looking for. I believe that was Max's argument.

I don't get how people can say Kobe is the closest thing we've seen to Jordan but then automatically put LeBron ahead or Kobe..if you say Jordan is the best basketball player ever and Kobe is the closest we've seen to Jordan then how Kobe can't be ranked second off that logic

Because he copied everything Mike did. Walk, talk, mannerism. As great as Kobe was, that's the reason hrs often overlooked. His style of played was nothing original.

If he stays healthy and plays another 6 seasons LeBron's gonna end up with like 38-39k points and 10k rebounds & assists. DAMN

The problem with Lebum fans is that when they compare Leflop to kobegoat they only bring stats. They intentionally leave rings, clutch mentality and winning mentality. So what if LeBron averages more rebounds and assists, if he is just gonna turn into Lebrick when it matters the most. I swear people tend to forget about his god awful meltdowns in many playoffs and just want to declare him goat becaue of his stat padding.

And LeBron teamed up with players who should've have been his opponents... Wade, Bosh, Kyrie, Love. He diminished the fire power of other teams and stockpiled his. LeBron took shortcuts period!

I really wanna see a debate of Stephen A Smith and Shannon Sharpe because he’s always taking the greatness of Kobe and giving it to Lebron . I haven’t seen a moment that he doesn’t praise Lebron and accept the reality of Kobe Bryant. Two different players but there both great in their on way

Naicol Koko Lopez Negron That's because Stephen A is more of a causal analyst and clearly does not praise LeBron but knows his greatness as compared to Shannon Sharpe where he practically worships the ground LeBron stands on. You have analyst such as the Herd, Nick Wright, and Shannon Sharpe who caters to LeBron. On the other hand, you have other analysis such as Skip Bayless who always criticizes him no matter what LeBron does because LeBron is not his cup of tea. Steph A is more causal. Then you have Chris Broussard who's always I'm unbiased towards everything.
