Keep up the great work guys! I am happy I stumbled onto your channel and love to watch your adventures! I basically fish with an #9 Jensen rod and a Loop Evotec Cast (out of production) #10. Both fast taper and Loop Opti Runner and Speedrunner reels for these line classes. Mostly use wire traces made from nylon-coated 49strand with a Mustad size 3 fast attach snap and melt-knots + 4’ of 40lbs fluorocarbon leader. All attached loop in loop with perfection loop knots. Haven’t had anything fail on me yet. For lines, depending on where I fish, mostly #9-10 intermediate or slomo lines, sometimes sink 3-4. But that is my setup for small and large water pike fishing in Belgium and The Netherlands. Looking forward to this year’s content!
Much needed video on musky gear, thanks guys! Im planning to also pair a Liquid 9+ with an 11wt. Question is, how much backing do you recommend, assuming I’ll be using 100’ sinking line? And 30lb Dacron would you use?
For the Liquid 9+ Lamson says they have a capacity of 250 yards at 30lb backing, but you don’t have to use that much. It’s kind of a preference thing, like how full do you like your reels, but I definitely wouldn’t go under 150 yards.

Do you have a link for the foam in the fly boxes?
