My dad is Jake rushing!!! So cool you guys toured the plant. Rio is a great company built by great people. Still manufactured in America unlike most lines!
Ok… I know that I am not an expert by any stretch of anyone’s imagination… but… this may be one of the most informative & enjoyable product video I have ever watched! Well done gentlemen!!!
Thank you very much and congratulations to the RIO Team ! I didn't imagin and know the technology behind a fly line . I was and am using the RIO flight lines since they are sold . Best regards from Switzerland 🇨🇭
Dude- this is super cool. I had no idea about this process. Hope you guys do some more factory tours. The core will break before the weld- never thought that.
Great insight into the process and mostly the people involved. I’ll for sure continue to buy Rio lines, and if they start to make them Rio furled leaders treated to float with a nice loop and to sink with a tippet ring..
@@FlyFishFood nah, doesn’t work for Spey casting with the wight focused to the front. SA vpt2 is the closest I have found to trout LT, though the Rio indicator lines look similar to the LT but does not come in #3 or #4.
Love the behind the scenes videos. Serious science involved to help some of us geek out over... and then appreciate all that goes into making our adventure times fun!
Like my friend Byron, owner of Fish Tech told me, (and it's true), ' the first sinking fly lines were basically "sweep" lines.' Because manufacturing wasn't advanced enough to do anything else. Think I'll dig my first gen sinkers out and save some $$.
I want to provide positive feedback to RIO and Farbank relating to a recent problem I had, so posting to this, which appears to be a recent video about RIO. I had a serious coiling problem with a new line, and after emails with Customer Service, and my emailing photos, RIO is sending me a new line. Thanks.
Cheech, great video thanks for showing us how the magic happens. But man right at the end catching that nice brown. Using those giant mitts to hold that fish to the camera, brutal. How about careful handling to improve post catch survival? Your videos get lots of eyes and do as I do is essential knowledge transfer. Thanks

I use several types of Rio fly and switch rod lines. What a treat to watch this video!!!!!!
Thank you for the time and effort it took to produce this. Tough to make a factory tour this informative and fun.
So cool the process and work that goes into supplying us fisherman with the most quality gear, thanks cheech

Awesome. Thank you for the behind the scenes. Always wondered how they actually did it
Nice new inside look of Rio's plant.
These manufacturer videos are way cooler than the fly tying ones!
Not a chance!!! I can’t make my own fly line, but I can make the hell out’a some bugs!
Cool process. I stopped using Rio lines because they crack so early.
Airflo is 10 times more durable and has stronger cores

Great video - like the line comparison near the end

Thanks for making this amazing video, it was so interesting to see what goes into a fly line.👌
Very cool and super interesting. Thanks for putting this video together!
Very cool I love seeing the process and how much goes into fly lines
The boot cameos are so funny
thank you for the great video. i am a big fan of rio lines especially the obs!
Trout LT is the best fly line I have ever fished with, please bring it back!
Technical trout is your friend. Trust me.

Yup. Just plain awesome, period.

Have they fixed the delaminating problems or whatever was causing the lines to fall apart in a season????
lol I hate that there are so many fly lines as a shop guy but this video was great thanks
This was really cool guys
Great video thanks 😊
Top notch operation.
De donde sos argentino ? Great video by the way
Ja ja. Soy gringo no mas! Aprendí en Cordoba hace 25 años.

Good luck with the coatings. Yes they were sweep lines. Made more popular in the UK
What knot was she tying it was so smooth
"Western Family Macaroni and Cheese color", lol!

So why do they split in less than a season?
This was a very nice video. Just wish I could have seen their secret sauce…
Unfortunately the only part I wanted to see wasn't able to be shown. ☹
Ima gonna get myself one of those lines if I ever find myself in the position of having more money than sense.
Amen....in the mean time keep using baling twine...its all the same anyways 😂
Rosie doesn't have feeling in her fingers anymore.
Great vid. But my whole life is a lie finding out that they make fly line out of braid and mono
Very cool video. Love their tippet, but I haven’t found one of their lines that I’m in love with yet.

Made in USA baby
My Rio lines cracked after two seasons, which forced me to try another brand.
Two seasons could mean 100 trips or 10 trips. Two seasons could either be a super long life or a short life for a fly line.
I like the outbound more than my airflow snipers, the cast like a dream.
But they are not durable, the coating starts letting lose after one season 😡
Man if only brands made them nice colors, the pale pastel lines look terrible.
Recently only bad reviews considering rio quality....
Just saying. Ridiculous prices.
too much pvc and cracks
😂🤣😅
Looks like pakistani workshop at the back of kebab shop. And i pay £80 for a line ! Invest some money in good electrician guys !!!
😂
too bad rio is junk now, and has been for the last 4 years. their lines used to be the best.
Are you allowed to work at RIO if you don't wear a checkered shit and a baseball cap?
Nope
Bitchin' video Cheech!!! 😎👍🏻
