    Correct a mistake: the naval gun of 052 is not based on ak130. It is more like a Western naval gun, which is said to combine the advantages of Italian Otto series naval guns and Russian naval guns, optimize the loading performance, and is an upgraded version of them. It should also be noted that the 9-meter vertical launching system can hold four small and medium-sized missiles per hole, or large missiles like the hhq9/yj21. So don't underestimate the number of missiles it can carry.

    This medium-sized destroyer is better than Arleigh Burke 3. The United States has only installed active phased array radar on the Arleigh Burke 3, but China has popularized active phased array radar several years ago, and even their close defense guns are equipped with active phased array radars. This technology is already very cheap for them, and the United States is still spending several times as much money to build Arleigh Burke class. If you want to say who is better between 055 and Arleigh Burke, I think it's like F22 and F16. The generation difference will make the other side powerless to fight back.

      The PLA has plenty of land based air strike capability, so it has less need for carrier base strike craft. But that's changing as we speak. The PLA in the future will have a full spectrum dominance across the whole of the first island chain and will have near full control up to the second island chain. The PLAAF will support with bombers carrying gigantic AShM, along with the J-16s carrying their own missiles. The PLARF have access to some of the most lethal LR AShM of supersonic, hypersonic and ballistic. So the PLAN is only one part of an entire system. And they are all support by the PLASSF and their vast intelligence networks. No ship or sub within the first island chain can operate within getting sunk within hours or even mins if they dare to do anything foolish and no ship is really safe outside the 1st island chain.

      @@Jaysqualityparts It's more like the west is better at marketing than the Chinese. The west's weapons are overly expensive because they are made by deliberately inefficient for-profit companies, and when met with actual peer adversaries gets degraded very quickly. This is evident now as more and more buyers of western weapons are getting worried but they have little choice because they are locked in.
      Give it a few more years, and things are gonna change. It will change even more quickly when a DF-21 slam into the deck of a USN carrier when the US finally do something monumentally stupid to force China to have to defend itself.

    Regards to IN's Visakhapatnam class price tag, you are easily ignoring basic stuff, I don't if it is because lack of knowledge or pure biasness. Firstly, Visakhapatnam class has only 3 ships in its class, which drives up the cost, plus its the price of the full package, including all the machinery, weapons package, sensor suites, life cycle costs etc.... which then is fairly priced warship. But about PLA its not the case. While I agree chinese will still be cheaper, but to not include how different navies around the world procure & small number of important details you left out is, outrageous.

      @@thomas_jay Of course it matters. It still has an impact on the over support your national industry can output to build these ships. Every warship built is an opportunity cost for other productive ships, so the cost of a ship even in domestic terms absolutely has an impact. You are just harping on 1 point in order to dismiss the fact that China's shipbuilding and subsystem industries are far far more efficient than the west, and it is not even the low labor costs. They are simply more cost competitive because they are better optimize and efficient. Their industries are simply BETTER than the west and you are just trying to cope by insisting on one point (selling to international buyers).

    • @thomas_jay
      @thomas_jay 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@gelinrefira Erm, 'no' on the ship building capacity. It is widely known that China has an enormous production output. That is not disputed. However, if you look at the purchasing power comparison 1 dollar can buy you more in China than in the USA. That automatically leads to higher prices in the USA. And that only matters if you try to sell an american ship or a chinese ship to the same buyer. That buyer will almost certainly choose the less expensive one (the chinese) over the more expensive (the american).
      If the ship isn't sold and stays in country, that doesn't matter anymore.
