I like this gun more than the original HP. I have checked it at the gun store: very slim and comfortable to carry (I usually carry a commander 1911 or C2). I have seen your range videos: it shoots very accurately! I think this gun is better for EDC compare to 75, and way much better and nicer looking than plastic guns.
Got one for $1049 slightly used with the $100 wood grips thrown in for free and have had no complaints. Runs like a dream and controls are smooth. Just waiting for the aftermarket to catch up.
Saw one at a Scheels this summer. Mint condition in the used glass case.....less than 900 😢 sadly I walked away think man that thing us awesome. Didn't remember or look what they retailed for. Went back a day later and it was gone.
The sights use (by all reports) the same dovetail cuts as the SIG P226. I like what I see with this gun. The additional weight puts it closer to the 1911 than the P35, so the loss of concealability is a bit of an issue. In recompense, it should be a better shooter--which would be saying something.
Not a Hi-Power. Too many changes that completely change it. I think the slight changes, that the Springfield Armory SA-35 has, without significantly alter it's function, or look of the gun. Plus it is half the price of the FNH.
@ericschell111 Eric, yes, the first run of SA-35s started to have extraction problems, at about 700-800 rounds. The extractor was not working well. That has been resolved. I know because I bought a SA-35 Hi-Power in 2023, and it functions perfectly so far, after hundreds of rounds.
The SA35 looks and feels like a cheap underground overseas knockoff/clone, which most likely it is. FN looks and feels like a good 21 century steel gun in a correct price range. Why to pay the half price for a half gun?
In my opinion, yes. It’s a sweet shooter, action feels great and to me it’s pretty damn accurate. I wanted a High Power and I didn’t want to settle on a Springfield, Girsan, or Tisas. Do I think it’s worth the price tag? Ehhh, no but that’s FN for you. The coating is PVD and looks super smooth and look amazing. I like it better than the NDLC coating.

Damn dude! 😭
Great video! Congrats on the pistol, it really is stunning.
Thanks for the support! It’s a super smooth shooting pistol.
Nice. Should give the neoclassical update to other items...

great choice
Thanks!

Keep in mind the very poor reliability documented with the SA-35

Nice looking sidearm. Mags are way too expensive, so I’ll pass for now. If Mec-Gar starts making mags for a reasonable price, I may reconsider.
@@RGL01 😂 So true!
Qué opinas de la renovada HP , vale la pena , comparada con las nuevas camadas de las SiG y Glocks?

Beautiful firearm…great to take to range, accurate, low recoil, stays on target. Screw the purists
Audio is very low.
