Favorite Christmas tradition growing up: camping for a week every year by a waterfall in Africa!!! Favorite grown up tradition: watching Elf with my husband

What!?!? Did you live in Africa? Tent camp? I have so many questions! I want to hear all about this camping trip!

@ I was born in Africa, my parents were American teachers who moved to west Africa for about 25 years. Starting from when I was in middle school, we started the tradition of going out in the wilderness to camp by a waterfall at Christmas. We had so much fun swimming in the river, climbing up and down the gorge, cooking over the fire, riding to and from the campsite on top of our Land Rover, clinging to the ropes my dad tied over the roof. So many freaking epic memories! I think my parents wanted us to have experiences and togetherness rather than us focusing on gift giving and receiving

Oh and I forgot to mention listening to the hyenas cackling and laughing at night spooked us a bit! My brother told me a hyena could bite through a cast iron skillet. I don’t know if that’s true but it was scary and we climbed on the roof of the Land Rover where we felt safer

My best friend and I do something that we call “Christmas Coffee” where we get fancy coffees or hot chocolates and drive to the next county over to drive through the neighborhoods and look at lights. There is one street where every house goes all out and they collect donations for charity at the end of the drive. We have confined this tradition even though we now have our own houses and families. ❤

I grew up with the tradition of driving around town and looking at Christmas lights. There were two houses which competed against each other, directly across the street. One was decked out in colored lights; the other, in white lights. I’m sure this is where I got my love of white lights!

Maybe you should lot the wooden shakers together... you could get a little more profit and they might move faster.

Great Sales! I also only pull comps on eBay. I’ve always found it easier because you don’t have to uncheck your size. Less clicks..😂
Harley Davidson tops and jeans sell well for me too. I’ve never tried picking up the shoes those.
Favorite Tradition: hot cocoa with all the fixings and Christmas monopoly with the kids. And candlelit service with Christmas carols.

My favorite Christmas tradition now is husband and I go get our tree at our friends fruit stand. They have an exclusive tree provider that sells them the best trees and if there is a shortage they are guaranteed their quota. Then we go get a burger and fries at our favorite home town burger joint. When the kids were little we went to a tree farm with Clydesdale pulled wagon rides. Cocoa candy canes fire. Whole bit. And yes. Jesus is the reason for the season.

Well I've been an PT ebayer for 2 years now. I think I might actually take the plunge and get myself a starter store for $22 a month.
It seems that this is indeed a listing numbers game ...the more items you have up the more likely you get sales and having a 1000 free listings goes a long way would you agree?
I am pretty much niched down to a specific type of item but do you think it is wiser to cast the net a little wide?

      Yes, 1000 listings is great!
I think if your niche is working for you, you could stay with it. But do you want to branch out? If it’s something that sounds fun and interesting, then go for it!
It seems like there are differing views on both sides, even with “high earning” sellers. Some say niche down so you are an expert. Some say sell everything so you can sell to everyone. Maybe try an experiment? Add another category for 6 months- a year and see if it works/you like it. Could be fun.
