I recently just met Charles Martinet and I can say without the doubt one of the most humble of people I've ever met. I accidentally cut in line for autographs at a convention since the line appeared to be short to meet him, and he kindly told me that there was a snake-like guide on the floor which I didn't see. After going back, I apologized profusely for my honest mistake, and he said: "No worries! Everyone doesn't know where they are going!" He's a very kind man and I've been hearing his voice from when I was a baby trying to hold a GameCube controller, to now where I'm 18 and going to college. Thank you Charles Martinet, and I hope your job as a Mario ambassador is an easy one! Cheers!
I also cut in line at a convention to get a word in. The line was too long and they were requiring $60 to talk to him (and others).
I hope he has had a fraction of the joy we the fans associate with Mario. I wouldn't want his station to be easy. I want it to be uniquely rewarding and full of joy! The kind of joy that makes you wanna jump!

A very special thank you to Charles Martinet for giving us 30 years of joy with his voice as Mario and many of the other characters in the Mario universe.
Whoever Nintendo hires as the new VA for Mario has some big shoes to fill and I'm sure they'll find somebody that can bring similar life into the characters of the Mushroom Kingdom as he did.

This is how I felt when I played it for the first time, it took me 15 days to finish it, and the latter cost me a severe headache to defeat Bowser # 3 (Bowser in the sky) and when I defeated him, I even cried with emotion because it was the first time i did it

27 years ago, on june 23, 1996, Charles Martinet was the voice of mario. Most of us probably grew up with his voice as mario. now. he steps down, to travel the world to get more people to know about mario. He will always be the best mario actor.
Happy 25th Anniversary, Super Mario 64! I remeber the fond memories of playing Super Mario 64, on friday nights and getting the game sometime in 2011. I loved it. Super Mario 64 will always be the diamond-shiny, beautiful-from-all-angles crown jewel of the Nintendo 64. This magical ending theme is my favorite song in the entire game. Nose boops and tickles, Nintendo. thanks for making one of the games that me and we gamers will cherish forever. The early to mid 2000s too... I vaguely remember the first video game I played was super mario 64 on my older brothers n64 when I was just 3 or 4 years old... in 2004.... and I got to grow up to see and beat the da remake of this masterpiece
I grew up during the Wii era of games, so I didn't think I'd enjoy the older games as much. But oddly enough, I probably like older games more than newer ones, and this game is a good example of that. My dad still has his Nintendo 64, and it works incredibly well. When I beat my first run, this song was my reward, and the level of reward I felt was only comparable to that of when I beat Galaxy 1. I was so happy, and to think this game is 10 years older than me!!

Esta song o tema del juego me recuerda mucho a mi niñez cuando jugué por primera ves el juego tenia 8 años 2004 y lo jugaba con mi hermano mayor Andy que ya en su infancia lo había jugado y con el pasamos cada obstáculo del juego! Los mundos mas difíciles fueron el mundo del reloj y el de las nubes el mas aburrido el del agua y el mas significativo el de la nieve con el pingüino por la navidad de ese año con mi familia cuando vimos el final me acuerdo que mama nos botaba del televisor siendo la media noche para ir a dormir; jamas olvidare este juego fue parte de mi infancia y de mi vida Súper Mario 64 :')

My uncle downloaded an emulator and i was able to play this masterpiece on my toasty computer when i was like 6 or 7. And one year later my cousin had a Nintendo 64 and i had the ultimate experience of Super Mario 64. I'm 17 now and i cried till the end of the music, i miss my childhood.

Just replayed and 100% this game the other day and when I got to the ending and eventually heard this I started tearing up because of how amazing not only this song is but the entire game man. This is easily one of my favorite games ever and I wasn’t even born when this came out. I think this game has aged great and still lives up to the hype it gets

Super Mario 64 will forever be one of my favourite Mario games. Not my favourite, but it's definitely up there. And looking back after 25 years, this theme hits me right in the nostalgia gut. And I'm loving every single second of it.

desde q era pequeño, mi hermano me instalo el mario 64 en emulador en el celular, fue epico todos sus mundos, los personajes, easter eggs, matar a bowser, la princesa, las aventuras, era todo epico, me pase el juego despues de 3 años XD, fue mucho, pero ahora ya creo que lo voy a pasar la 5 vez, y los creditos que buenos, cuando complete el juego por primera vez en el kinder me trajo nostalgia porque salieron todos los mundos que pase

I remember being 6 years old playing this game and finally defeating bowser the 3rd time. When this song played, I remember being so proud of myself cause it was the first hand I ever completed by myself. Was so excited I had to call my mom into living room to show her.
