- I decided to take a day off anything serious and wanted something relaxing to play, so I tried the Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series remake demo on Japanese digital storefronts. Figured I'd record and make a fun little video out of it. Nothing serious here, just here for a nice, relaxing, feel-good platformer. This is my first time ever playing Klonoa!

There's definitely no emotional trauma anywhere in these games, don't worry.
Also, Klonoa's race are called Phantomilians, they're like cats combined with rabbits (Cabbits, for short). We still know absolutely nothing about their culture, Klonoa's upbringing, or even his parents.
Also, lore is super loose. Like Mario.

As someone who is used to media that is adorable and wholesome with a bit of a dark edge to it (I am a Made in Abyss Fan)I say this is relativly tame. Sure Klonoa got sort of brainwashed and manipulated and he was forced out of that World but getting send home does not seem to be that bad of a fate.

We still don't know for certain if Klonoa's race is the same as the Phantomilians. He wasn't from the Phantomile, simply brought from another world, and while Huepow makes mention of Klonoa returning to his "own Phantomile", it's still unknown if that means there's multiple Phantomiles in existence or if that was Huepow's way of saying Klonoa was supposed to go home.

The language spoke in this game is not Japanese it’s a language called phantomile
I’ve been playing klonoa since 1997 and I still don’t fully understand it.

The buttons don't ruin my merchants on the side but I understand where you're coming from what ruins my emotions when video games know that they're in a video game and they tell you that's what ruins my immersion
I hate when the video game tells you that they know that they're in a video like that's not the reason why I play video game people don't watch movies for the actor to tell them that they're acting it takes away the immersion
