Had the same issue. I bought a new LVD and connected it and still nothing. So I just put both cables on one terminal on the LVD and left it. It's been that way for 2.5 years and no problems.
Just realized that you helped me solve 2 previous problems. Thank you Sir! Subscribed!!!! I wish you had a PayPal. If you do have or get one please post the link!
I have done this twice now. One in a Columbia and one in a Coronado. I was a little worried about a short circuit somewhere in the truck, that we can not find. So instead of just putting both cables and the smaller gauge wire on one post, I installed a circuit breaker beside the LVD. Hooked them up the same way as they are on the LVD. Helps the driver/owner sleep better at night, knowing the truck won't burn down. Also, I had a 2018 Columbia glider in the shop, with a no heat issue. When I removed the lower kick panel on the passenger side, I seen that the LVD is already bypassed. Right from the factory. Both hvy gauge wires and the single smaller gauge wire, hooked up to the left side post of the LVD.
Just in case someone comes here and checks the two posts on the low voltage disconnect and does not have power at either post there is a 50 amp fuse located behind the panel at passenger foot rest area. It is covered with a clear cover and it is on the bottom right side. I had a truck come in just now that had same issues you described. His PDM that is located behind the driver seat inside the side wall was melted. I replaced it and one of the harness ends and still had no power. Found your video and and checked low voltage disconnect but had no power there and traced wires back to the 50 amp fuse. Thanks.
Thank you to the original poster and those who commented about other ideas to fix this issue. I had the same exact issues as the original video. After reading the comments I took off the kicker panel in front of the passenger seat, below the fuse box. I unplugged the 50 amp fuse and inspected it, it was fine. I plugged it back in and everything works properly. Light came on and all accessory plugs worked. I didn't have to open up the panel for the low voltage shutoff or anything. What caused my problem was a loose ground connection on one of my batteries. By unplugging the 50 amp fuse I think it allowed the low voltage box or something else to reset. Probably could have had the same results if I had disconnected and reconnected the batteries. Hope this helps someone. My truck is a 2006 Columbia.
Hey how you doing I've got a similar issue my wipers stopped working my CB radio my stereo and blower motor is not working and after watching this video I'm going to try it first and I was just wondering if you had any ideas or not about this issue thank you a lot
they do go out, but also I was told I may have been drawing to much power at once for too long, running the fridge, lights, fan, and the tv. did the bypass with a 30amp fuse and connected the fridge straight to the batteries with power inverter and no issues so far.
It's in the same location on a 16 coronado sd122. Also 10mm nuts on the stud terminals. In my case bypassing the wires to each other did not make the lights in the sleeper come back on. Unfortunately.
Great video, seems like you no ur stuff. Get a question, my 07 freightliner century clock between the windshield does not have power feeding it. The clock works because I took it out and supplied power and ground to it. What can it be? also my light over the drivers seat and passenger seat works when the door is open, bu does not come on when the door is closed and me manually pressing the light.
On the map lights if you take the lens off and check the little push button it could be dirty or it could be that the separate wire has a fault in it. I’m sure you have but check fuses. I had to remove my drivers side map light and clean it before it would work. On the clock i am not sure my 07 never had one but it sounds like the factory wiring has an issue did you check it for voltage continuity. Oh and on the map lights check the soldering joints.
Hey this is unrelated but I have an 07 century as well but I have lost power to all my HVAC ,wipers, and brights do not work all my fuses are good I've cleaned all my battery connections , just wondering have you ran into these issues and where else to start looking
My truck was having this problem, so i did bypass trick. Soon as i did the bypass my digital shifter gauge stopped working. Its a freightliner columbia smart shift. It still drives and shifts but the gauge just beeps and wont show what gear im in? Is the bypass a reason for this?
Mine's doing that right now but I have dome lights when the key is on but none when the key is off could that be the same issue the low voltage disconnect
its a good thingy, 8n case u leave some on it will disconnect once batt voltage drop to a certain voltage instead getting it drained all the way to the bottom...
Mine beeps like carzy.. .and drives me 🤯😡 how do u stop The Beeping the mechanic bypassed it already the same thing happened 2 me everything stopped wrking
If you bypassed it and there is not power on both LVD and ISO terminal on fuse box, go to the wall on driver side, right behind where the seat belt hook is screwed, and there is a fuse panel there. Look for 2 15A fuses 1..Battery comp. fuse. 2 .Dome power.(some like that) Those should be burned out. Get them replaced and all dome power will come ON,of course, including LVD box and ISO fuse compartment post. Freightliner Columbia around year 2004.
If it is bypassed would it interfere with my fan In anyway? I’ve changed my fan clutch and all sensors on my series 60 14l and I cannot get the fan to stop running. The last shop put a manual switch on it and now it works manually; but we can’t figure out why it won’t work automatically.
@@JayRossTVisionit’s your temperature sensor on your coolant tank! That controls the fan to come on and off at a certain temperature! I forgot the name but it’s bolted right next to the coolant tank
Sergio Gallego all wiring is on correct? Check all fuses? Maybe test with bypassing the low voltage disconnect again, if everything is wired correctly im not sure honestly.
Im having same problem with my 2012Kenworth t660 I changed lvd but same problem when i shut my engine off Immediately It starts beeping and shut down all power Any suggestions?????
Thank you so much I've been trying to figure it out for 3 days now you are a savior

My man! I moved one over to the other post and gonna find the new part while in run this load.
Good deal, exact same problem thanks for the help…I just punched mine and everything turned on probably falling apart inside👍👍

Doug Miles good info man thanks for sharing this.
Thanks Brother!
That's the pdm ?

What is "pdm"?

Dude you saved my life!!!! Godbless you!!
I'm having the same issue. I'll check it out later if it works. Thank you for the video.

Also read the comment just below, he tells about a fuse also that may be an issue.

Thank you !
Thanks for the info, now I can fix the same problem on my 06 Columbia Freightliner.
It's in the same location on a 16 coronado sd122. Also 10mm nuts on the stud terminals. In my case bypassing the wires to each other did not make the lights in the sleeper come back on. Unfortunately.
Did you leave the jumper on? What about the plug in the LVD? Did you take it out?
The zip ties didn't melt with the current going through them?
I got the same truck and ow I'm here baby. Freight shakers .
Thank so much same problem mine. On my truck Columbia the black box under cup holder 😅
Mandeep Singh hope this helped thank you for watching.
Thank you. Can i run like this forever without a new box
Hi I got question if that gets bad is it going to have problem ignition actually can't fire up engine. The relay just clicking.
Does Red light blinking on lvd means it's bad???

Where can I get a low voltage disconnect fir 2004 century
Thanks sr
Thanks man!
Thank you driver
Does that thing beep when voltage gets Low?
billy estep mine didn’t BUT after some research I found out that some do.
You could've connect both wires using one of the LVD's studs, that way less chance to set your truck on fire.😉👍
Fire!
thank you

I bought a new one and it still have the same issue, the fuse is goo too
That's a fuse. I had the same problem. But it's at the bottom of the passenger side.
I put the new low voltage is stiil no work
Sergio Gallego all wiring is on correct? Check all fuses? Maybe test with bypassing the low voltage disconnect again, if everything is wired correctly im not sure honestly.
Ok thank you for you help
Why cant you just leave it like that?
Dough Boy i left mine like this lol I haven’t had any issues but yeah some people say if you hard connect them it might burn ya truck down.
Best thing u can do is get rid off that thing and get a battery switch installed by the seat or somewhere else
Im having same problem with my 2012Kenworth t660
I changed lvd but same problem when i shut my engine off
