Well, for me it's a bit scarier how disorienting and endless it seems with the fog, but this is also an awesome new kind of scary! I thought I'd gotten over my fear of bramble by now, but this version of it made me feel that it turns out that maybe I hadn't yet, haha
you know what would have been really cool? if the fog drained from the bramble as the sun imploded, leaving you to see all this while not letting you explore without fog.
For those who think the interior of Dark Bramble looks small, check out the Lore Explorer's size comparison video. If memory serves, each anglerfish is roughly the same size as the Attlerock.
So if the convention of game maps being smaller than they would really be for the sake of computer memory and player convenience holds true for this game, then irl they would probably be somewhere between the size of the moons of Mars and our moon, so have fun imagining that 🙂.
Yuck I hate the way it looks, it's so much scarier. Just seeing the endless spiral of branches. Then being the same colour as the background just makes everything blend into together and makes it seem way bigger then it is, like there are even more terrifying things living in there. Also shows me just how many rooms have angler fish then I thought, I was driving through there like a mad man because I thought only 3 rooms had any fish and the rest were safe.
You can imagine my surprise when i fiund out that anglerfish were in like evey room of dark bramble. I went to feldspar and nothing so I thouht the place was safe
I used to hate Dark Bramble, I used to believe no other place could emanate this hateful aura that made it so ugly. But just like the Nomai with the Eye, I've come to understand that there is no such thing, that we see them like that because of what it means to us, but for the universe is just what it is, and there's no point in trying to attribute it a hateful nature. It's the universe as it is, and the bramble is as much a part of it as we are.
Technically the sun already does that, but it would be nice to destroy it permanently. Maybe a giant fire since it seems to have some minor atmosphere?
You know when I first started trying to navigate Dark Bramble I thought the fog was the worst thing because I couldn't see which lights were anglerfish, but I eventually figured out exactly how many anglerfish body parts had to be visible before I wasn't safe to give my ship a boost anymore, which makes me think this would somehow be even HARDER to navigate
This was a treat :) Thank you! I was SO scared going through Dark Bramble that I held my breath most of the way haha! I'm not sure if this was more or less scary, but was fun to watch :)
I think this could be expanded into it's own planet like the "Bramble Hub" or something, where instead of fog walls it just spirals out with its tendrils for miles. (Honestly, I think every part of this game could be expanded into a sequel)
In the words of ImpulseSV: "That's a big... bag of nope! Biiiig Bag of Noooope!" (i don't think he's ever played outer wilds, but his reaction to wardens eating his face reminds me of the anglerfish)
God I hate dark bramble so much. I know thats probably a take colder than The Interloper but the fact its the only place in the base game that has actually hostile lifeforms on it left a major lasting impression on me.
If anything it's even scarier this way. Though easier to navigate.
not sure if I agree, the fog made the rooms feel a lot bigger to me. it felt endless, the rooms feel decently small here
Dark Bramble, the Quantum Moon and Brittle Hollow make The Scout useful

That's a fun fact that will definitely help me sleep at night 🙃

For somereason, to me, the way their laterns emit fog is incredibly unsettling

The vessel, so grand and beautiful, trapped in such a nightmarish hell for 200,000+ years. Dark Bramble is a dick.
I used to hate Dark Bramble, I used to believe no other place could emanate this hateful aura that made it so ugly. 1:30 cool trick 😎
Somehow just as creepy.
it's like the developers knew you might mod the fog so they gave you a more disturbing view
now dark bramble is actually dark
Thank god they added fog to that planet
I wish i could activate a self destruction protocol in the vessel so i could take this treacherous hellish tumble of twigs off this system.
I mean, not much would've changed if you did 🥲
Technically the sun already does that, but it would be nice to destroy it permanently. Maybe a giant fire since it seems to have some minor atmosphere?
@@MysticalyAutistic the sun takes too long and every second i breathe knowing that planet is still there is one second too many.
Holy shit my dumbass never realized you could use the scout to check if it was an angler I thought you just had to trial and errror
In any case, I hate that damn planet
It’s not actually a planet, it’s a dimensional cluster!
good glob, it looks horrific!
You know when I first started trying to navigate Dark Bramble I thought the fog was the worst thing because I couldn't see which lights were anglerfish, but I eventually figured out exactly how many anglerfish body parts had to be visible before I wasn't safe to give my ship a boost anymore, which makes me think this would somehow be even HARDER to navigate
how much i wish i could erase this game from my memory so i can play it again...
Yeah, thanks no, it's even scarier that way
This was a treat :) Thank you! I was SO scared going through Dark Bramble that I held my breath most of the way haha! I'm not sure if this was more or less scary, but was fun to watch :)
being an outer wilds fan who is called Bramble is a surreal experience :3
...Nope. Nope, it's even scarier now.
Awesome, but terrifying.😆
I think this could be expanded into it's own planet like the "Bramble Hub" or something, where instead of fog walls it just spirals out with its tendrils for miles.
(Honestly, I think every part of this game could be expanded into a sequel)
this mod is called light Bramble
Dark-ish Bramble
I wish I could see it without fog AND without the light effects from anglers and seeds, but regardless these are amazing views and really scary.
In the words of ImpulseSV: "That's a big... bag of nope! Biiiig Bag of Noooope!"
(i don't think he's ever played outer wilds, but his reaction to wardens eating his face reminds me of the anglerfish)
Wasn't expecting to see another HermitCraft fan here!
Smaller than i thought... cool
woah it's even SCARIER!!!
that's unsettling

it looks way smaller without the fog
You need to turn down all the other lights so they don't obscure everything still.
It's scarier this way, give me back my fog.
how the fuck is it worse
Que bonito
Don't post spoilers in the thumbnail dude
Dark Bramble without the fog looks so ugly
I hate it even more
