Reviews:
"This is a wonderful film noire, a real late night treat, the story may seem a little run of the mill, but there are many twists, turns and red herrings to throw you off, and keep your interest.
The acting is great, Joan Bennett as always is terrific, Edward G Robinson was prolific, and never disappointed.
It moves along quickly, and is never boring at any point. The obvious love or hate moment comes at the end, personally I don't love it, but you must realise it was 1944, the world was at war, people wanted to leave the cinema with a smile on their face, it did make me smile, of course it would never be a tool used nowadays, but things were so different in 1944.
Thoroughly enjoyed it. 9/10."- Written by Sleepin_Dragon on IMDb.com

Leave the old classic movies in black and white
I just hope in a few more years they can be computer colorized without that weird purple effect!
Love Raymond Massey. He played a wonderful Lincoln and In Action in the North Atlantic and who could forget Arsenic and Old Lace!
WOW.............never saw THAT coming! Great film, thanks!
I have the DVD, but I gave you a thumbs up for uploading such a classic!
Very mild spoiler below.
My favorite line!
"No! Oh no! Thank you indeed! Not for a million dollars!"
The last line of the movie. Classic indeed.
I've never had the privilege to see it until now. Thank you for loading.👍🎦
Great movie fabulous actors, thanks for sharing these amazing films.
What a fantastic movie with an uplifting ending! 😇 Thank you!🥰
Loved this film. Never saw the ending coming so what a wonderful surprise. Thank you for sharing.
Wow what a nail biter! Edward G. Robinson, Joan Bennett and Dan Duryea were in another wonderful picture called "Scarlet Street".
Wonderful technical engineering
What District Attorney invites uninvolved citizens to a crime scene like it'sa game of golf? 😂
Thanks so much for sharing ❤❤❤❤❤
I was looking for the recent “the woman in the window” and I found this instead. So beautiful
But could you upload the other one too??? The one on Netflix😭😭
Oh great! Dan Duryea in this! You cant go wrong! Robinson AND Duryea!😊
Never saw that coming!
Oh thank you for uploading
Ever noticed when people in these movies get shot or stabbed there are no visible stab wounds or shots in their clothing? In this movie Edward G stubbs the guy 3 times with the scissors but no blood anywhere or stab wounds in his suit coat.Atleast no blood, guts, and gore like in today's movies. This is why i definately prefer these old b/w movies.
Because when the human body is stabbed, no blood can be seen, right?
He was stabbed in the chest cavity in which case there would be very little blood to show.
First time watching this in colour same with Scarlet Street and was ok still enjoyed them still prefer b/w version watched both many times in the past never tire of them
Wonderful film
Que filme maravilhoso!!
Great film noir ending
Edward G. is great in this. I just can’t with him playing a G.
I realize it may be all the sorry, UNfunny imitations of EGR, I’ve seen for the past 50+ years, since my kidhood.
Edward g Robinson wife here seems a lot nicer than in scarlet street. Ok now.
Very good movie
Te reamo cielinnnn muassss Ferni🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Cadê as legendas?
Public Domain?
Iris Adrian at the very end??
Thank you but colorized why???? All the integrity and shadows….
You can remove the colour on your TV or monitor.
@@RebeccaTurner-ny1xx Thank you. That’s what I would will do
Prefer it in B&W. (on Y/Tube) They all look as if they've been basking in the sun on a Florida Beach in this version
Thanks!
