Hi Darren! Good to see another Anno series! absolutely loved and followed the previous one! A little suggestion on the first wood area. You should connect the road on the left side to the main road so the lumberjack's hut connects directly to the sawmill. That will save you some slots in the warehouse crane.
Bit late on the comments loved the video good too see anno is back and one thing I noticed is I'm pretty sure that your capital island is the same as miss hunts from last season
Those wooden beam houses are called "Fachwerkhaus" in Germany and is usually translated as "half-timbered house". Its a typical middle european medieval style for houses. They are still quite common around the alps.
I LOVE your Anno 1800 series!!!! I watched a whole lot of it and I’ve thought of it ever since. You’re so nice to watch. I started watching this one but fell asleep so I’m back to watch it while conscious lol! Your voice is so nice to listen to and your play style is so nice to watch play out.
I have been playing all Anno games and my fav is def 2250 with the futuristic settings hopefully you get a chance to experience. With the announcement of Anno Rome, I find myself coming to your channel and it has been excellent as I watch it during my work. Thank you for continuing this love for the amazing franchise.
On the minimap I tend to toggle off neutral players (and sometimes the rivals, too) because their quest stars are nearly impossible to see on the minimap otherwise.

Great to see Hugo as an NPC in this playthrough. He is a very unique NPC in Anno with very different quests and reactions to what you are doing.
It always brings me joy when he cries when his citizens flee to me.

tip, if you start consumpsion and wood production, do it in range of the harboer, saves 10 wood in warehouse
