My neighbour across here in Goa would fry a portion/ quantity of cut boiled pork meat pieces along with onions and ginger garlic,cut fine,do try,the flavours latch onto each other,curry leaves are optional and slit green chillies last,yes if the Sorpotel is heated everyday even for a week,cooled and kept,some freeze it,Well done Jo and Chris! Pork liver cooks quicker,even if parboiled,can be boiled separately

We goans grind the masala with coconut vinegar and this I learnt from my mom in law. We dont add tamarind. Even the stomach portion is used in the sorportel.

Thanks for trying the recipe. So sorry you had a harrowing experience ,it has never happened when we did it. One reason could be the meat had water content as it is boiled. Meat should be dry and you don't have to fry too long because then too it can sputter. Maybe next time you can use a vessel that has depth to be safe. Hope you enjoy your sorpotel. God bless you!❤️❤️

Thanks for trying the recipe. So sorry you had a harrowing experience ,it has never happened when we did it. One reason could be the meat had water content as it is boiled.
