Great separates. I'm retired now but when I worked as a Corporate Accountant, I would always go to black pants or skirt whenever I didn't have a lot of time to think about an outfit. They can be styled in so many ways. Take care, Carol M.
Really wonderful! ! bravo for the great choices. .we can all look good when the right stuffs in the closest. Maybe add to this by showing us how to expand from this with your personal touches accessories
Good morning Beth~ great, informative video as always! I do miss you modelling, although probably time consuming. Would you consider a declutter video,( going through wardrobe, dressers and closets ), what to purge what to keep?Since I started watching your videos I have been thinking of all the classic pieces of clothing I have given away during the years! Darn it! Also, I have gone and bought 4 blazers! LOL! I was never very good with separates and accessories, I just love your style sense! I could rewatch your videos and always get an inspiration! I hope you have a wonderful week, looking forward to Thursday's video:)
I love your hair color and your hairstyle, Beth. You're a beautiful lady. Once my hair started to go salt&pepper, I let it go on its natural way. I'm so happy that I did, I love my beautiful mane. I can't handle the chemical smell of hair dyes. I'm growing older with dignity & grace. I'll be 55 in December, and I'm enjoying getting older. Age is just a number, you know. I'm that "lone" dancer on the dance floor at wedding receptions&parties. I'm a kid at heart, I don't think that that part of me will ever go away. Thank you Beth for sharing your thoughts with us. Stay amazing!!!:)
I loved the video!! Made me wish I was still in the workforce to need the outfits you described! :) I do, however, enjoy seeing the suggestions that can be used for other dressy occasions, such as church, special dinners, events, etc... These could fit perfectly! Thanks and keep the great videos coming! Would love even more on casual, classic, and comfortable!! :)
I like your taste, Beth! I'm fortunate to be early retired from corporate life, so am investing in a new basics wardrobe for traveling for fun. Would you consider doing a segment on a great packable travel wardrobe for Europe during shoulder season? Thanks!
Love your videos- Thank you for sharing Beth..Have you considered a video on ' fusion' style/fashion? ( is there such a thing?) like how to style clothes inspired by other cultures and their staples-some thoughts that come to mind are the Mandarin collars, ruanas, kimonos, Indo-western wear like palazzo pants or kurtis etc...Would love to see your take on these..
My sister in law once asked me "how many shoes DO you have"? I replied "two things you never ask a woman, how many shoes do you have and how much do you weigh"!!! 😃🤣😄Absolutely hooked on your videos! Thank you for sharing your beautiful style!
You may have answered this question before but do women our age wear pantyhose with a pencil skirt? I know younger women don't but I never know whether I should wear pantyhose or go without. Thanks! Love your fashion advice.
I like your suggestions, but I have a few comments for those of us who are petites. Separates tend to break you in half. When I wear pants I try a monochromatic look, all black top and bottom and then add an interesting jacket. I have become a huge fan of dresses for work and add either a cardigan (long ones are great) or a jacket. Dresses for petites elongate the torso and with heels make you look taller. I like adding a statement necklace which adds interest and brings the eye up to the face with an a-line dress.
My friend once told me that the answer to the question of how many pairs of shoes does a woman need is "one more than she currently owns." Words to live by. Great video.
Recommend embracing that it may be more than "ladies" watching your channel. Welcome "viewers" or "fashion lovers" etc may be more inclusive than "ladies." Just a thought!
I disagree with that advice that EVERYONE has to have black pants and a black pencil skirt. Not everyone looks good in black so why wear it? Navy is a better neutral especially as some women age because black can be harsh on aging complexions. Black might be great for you because of your grey hair color, but black is NOT for everyone. We have just been sold that by the garment industry rather than finding colors that look BEST on us.
then you should absolutely wear navy, sharon. but black pants and black skirts aren't worn next to your face and are a great neutral to own.. even if they were smack dab against your face you could easily add a scarf for a pop of color. but style is personal so you have to wear what works for you. xo
I still don't need black in my wardrobe because navy looks great on me and I want my blouse, tops, blazers, shoes and accessories to work together. I don't want to have to buy things just to go with one or two outfits.
I appreciate the history of the pencil skirt. I too love JCrew pencil skirts.
Always a classy lady !
thanks so much, arlene! xo
Very good tutorials. I enjoy checking my closet as u talk. I admire your expertise and accomplishments.

Great video Beth, thank you! More please, love your videos❤️
Beth, are panty hose totally out of the question? I do not like the bare legs look on older legs.... too fair and crepey ....
thanks so much! xo
if you feel comfortable and confident wearing pantyhose go for it! my favorite brand is wolford. style is all about what you feel good in. xo

sure, but i'm not certain what shoulder season is all about. xo
I was mainly thinking of Sept-Oct and April-May when weather is transitional (less crowded yeah)
Good information but I was disappointed that you didn't model the outfits. You always look so stylish!
hangeth thou in there, peggy! there will be more outfits styled by yours truly in the not too distant future. xo
You are wonderfullllll

Hello, I have just found your channel and like your videos and your smart approach very much indeed! Thanks for uploading! Xoxo!
You may have answered this question before but do women our age wear pantyhose with a pencil skirt? I know younger women don't but I never know whether I should wear pantyhose or go without. Thanks! Love your fashion advice.
i seldom wear hose but when i do i wear wolford which has a nice texture and simulates bare legs. xo
Thanks Beth...also do you have something for us who are retired from corporate and now want to be casual?
now i have another video idea. thanks! xo

great suggestions. thank you! xo
Another great video. Keeping corporate work wear neutral made it so much easier to get out the door in the morning. Great advice! Karen in Sou Cal.
neutrals and work wardrobes go together like peanut butter and jelly! xo
Where on earth did you get that gorgeous shirt?
Do you know where the striped top you are wearing is available?
Thanks, kim

My friend once told me that the answer to the question of how many pairs of shoes does a woman need is "one more than she currently owns." Words to live by. Great video.
