What i never understood is why codemasters uses crossfades in their cutscenes. Especially because the seconds it starts transitioning the frame stops moving, the image just freezes. And tbh these graphics... damn if you cant make them look realistic just dont include them. Focus more on the racing itself or graphics on track which could also do with some work. The fact that there's still no VR support is just insane...
The interviews are dumb. Yeah it's nice they implemented them . But i read someones review who said he had a great race from p18 to p3 and the interviewer just said. Not a great race was it?. If you do interviews do them right and don't just put in random questions that aren't even describing your race right. Im don't know if it happens all the time or it may be a bug. But it doesn't sound good.
I would say the difference between using a controller and using a decent wheel is similar in experience to changing from HDD to SSD for your OS disk. Sure, you can still build a good PC with a HDD as your OS disk, but using a SSD is a game changer and you'll definitely be happy you made the upgrade.
They should have something where you can do your best practice session, save it, and then on the next race weekend either run through the practice sessions as you would normally do, or have the choice to take a 50/50 chance on getting a little more/same or less amount of points you did on your best run.
F1 2013 is the best f1 game. The graphics and the cars are so good and i recon f1 2013 has the best classic cars. Its really cool how you can actually race as the drivers of those classic cars with there helmet and race gear unlike 2017 and 2018.
Spot on Matt. Over the last 2 years Career Mode is increasingly becoming a grind. They have added hurdles that significantly erode the enjoyment of racing in Career mode. And as pointed out the bugs and glitches online will decide how successful this installment really will be.
One thing that would make the f1 game better, is if they added personalities for the AI depending on who they are. For example - when kimi goes on the podium he wouldn't celebrate with such emotion. If u see him on the podium irl he keeps his emotions secluded and if asked a question we all know he's gonna start with the "Mwoahh/Bwoahh". Another example - Daniel Ricciardo and his shoey celebration. If codemasters added driver personalities that would be really cool.
As long as they sort the issue of overtaking some one, then they decide to ram you as they don’t like being beat and YOU get a penalty and lose your front wing.
Matt…the interviews are timed for a reason…to give you pressure for choosing the right thing to say (that's why Codemasters are calling it TIME-PRESSURED interviews) and it makes the whole interview mechanic much more realistic than 2010/11's version lol
One thing that would make the career mode less boring is the calendar order changes after 2 seasons or give us the freedom to change it ourselves, I'm sure they could do this considering they got them to sign off on reg changes on the game this year.
I only started playing on f1 2015 and when 2016 came out, I found the curbs to be more unforgiving than the previous year then when 2017 came out, I can just keep riding the curbs and track extend to my heart’s content. It made pushing the car on every corner exit aggressive and fun but it made me careless. I think based from what he said, I need to stop track extending on corner exits again to be 100% sure I don’t make a mistake in f1 2018 with more unforgiving curbs.
I agree with the statement about the classic cars. I'd prefer that they spent all those money into making the physics much better. Who knows, it might even come close to the giants of sim racing.
I really wish that instead of being forced to retire or rewind after losing a tyre, you should have a chance to at least go to the pits and try for another wheel
Not sure what you mean. If you get a puncture, you can go back to the pits. If the suspension breaks, you can't, neither in the game nor in real life. At most, maybe they could implement a simulation of repair times, and give you the chance to go out in the same session if there's enough time left after repairs.

Story based challenges - you can shove that. They can shove the entire cutscene animated bollocks as well. Nobody cares about resource points - it's just dull. It's not challenging, it's not anything. It's just dull. They should just release a $10 patch for the 2018 season, because really, what else is there left to offer?, and focus on making something different, like a 1955 - 1965 racing game, with proper of-the-era tracks.

Hab da etwa 332h aufm Tacho und hatte da definitiv meinen Spass :-)

bassax7045 agreed, hard to say classics have poor feedback when you use a controller. There not that hard either you just need to be good. And curbs being iffy is realistic. You've been able to massively abuse the curbs in previous games.
I actually like doing the practice programs. It helps you to explore the circuit's limits and to do constant lap times. Jumping in and so Qualifying and race straightaway would make me ending up in the 2nd corner
I think they could really expand the practice programs though. Have race and quali simulations be an on-going thing, as in, you can do them infinitely, getting more points each time (of course, this would need to be balanced so you don't get TOO many resource points). This way, you receive an incentive to do the entire FP sessions, and it's more realistic (they don't only do 3-5 laps of quali/race simulations IRL).

F1 2013 is the best till the date because of the handling the pure sound of V8 makes it perfect.
