    Saw this going for under $500 on Ashford today, so I came here to see what's up. Totally sold on the bronze case construction. Now that's a conversation piece!

    I own both Black Bay GMT and Glycine Coffee GMT Drop edition and must admit that I prefer Glycine over Tudor. It is not alternative. Complete different watches im terms of wearing but very common in specs and overall finishing.

    Glycine makes some nice watches. I like their design language and style. But I just can't get myself to buy one. From a distance they look really beautiful. But when you inspect it more closely, you notice that the dial looks cheap. I don't know if it's the flat black of the dial, or the simple logo and font, or the writing that looks cheap. Like it was just printed on there with a printer. If they would just improve the appearance of their dials, they would be selling more watches. Imagine that watch with a sunburst dial, like the ones you can get on Seiko dive watches.

      These are ultimately tool watches...a bit of flair with this bronze one...but still..I kinda agree..a LITTLE more "something" wouldn't go amiss.

    Your Airman looks really amazing. I just got CombatSub Bronze. I do not like the patina, however, I haven't wone mine it yet. I have it in a ziplock bag with a 3M tab that supposed to prevent tarnish. I also have Cape Cod Wipes helps keep the shine! Glycine are thin, the quality is very good for a reasonable price. Thanks.

      Yes my Airman does look amazing and it's one of my favourite watches in my collection. Congrats on the new combat sub bronze. Indeed they are great quality and highly undervalued. Bronze does look very nice new; however enjoy the journey of wearing the bronze and seeing how it bonds and grows with you, making it very personal to who you are. Thanks for the comment, I do appreciate your feedback. Review on the Combat Sub GMT coming soon. Cheers!

    Disagree on the leather strap. Leather looks nice but it's a dive watch.

    Great detailed shots and relevant information. Fantastic review; it was the nail in the coffin for me for buying this watch. I enjoyed the "dolphin" recovery, lol. How do you think it would look with black leather straps? Thank you

      @timemeasured9137  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Shane, thanks for feedback! Yea that dolphin recovery I tried my best on that one LOL! I think black leather could work with white or cream stitching but brown leather would be most appropriate. Cheers!

    Very nice, considering this and also the gl0380 which you already own……did get one from Drop before which was the all black PVD…was great but dissappointed about bezel which if you press down between 8-10 o’clock there’s some sort of clicking…looks good on leather diffinetely. I made my own leather strap using some old belt😊 then just put one hole to it perfect for my wrist😀 wish the buckle is bronze too so it will patina same like the case. Seen it also from Ashford but being in the U.K. will have to pay extra duties but good thing is Ashford got some voucher code which help bring the cost down…..Hmmmmn🤔

    Great video, and awesome review. I have had the bronze GL0267 for 2 years now and love how it patinas. Your Airman bronze looks amazing. I have an Airman 18 as well.
    My thoughts on the leather strap - my GL0267 did come with leather, but it is far from being perfect. The quality of the original stap supplied is decent but not great. Also, leather is not great for a bronze watch in my opinion, because being bronze, I want to get the watch wet as much as I can, it helps with the patina. Leather does not allow me to do that, and that just doesn't do a bronze dive watch justice. I ended up buying one of the new black Original Glycine rubber straps, and the watch is perfect now.
    Thanks for your great review.

    • @timemeasured9137
      @timemeasured9137  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The GL0267 is very nice and I wanted that one for a long time. Yes I love how my Bronze Airman has patina'd. Great point about the rubber vs leather strap for the bronze. I get it and it makes sense if you are going in the water. I just personally am not a fan of rubber and prefer the look of leather. I wish more brands would consider how much people love strap changes and offer an additional strap option with their watches, it would give the watch more value and more satisfaction for the consumer to not go aftermarket. I'm glad you found the review useful and thanks for the comments, I do appreciate your feedback. My review on the Combat Sub GL0380 GMT is coming soon! Cheers!

    Thank you for this review. Can you please tell me where you found that thick leather watch band? I’m talking about the thick single layer, raw looking ran leather band. Looks like it would patina nicely with the bronze case of the GL0324.

      Greetings Robbie, Yes this Kvarnsjo Leather strap is raw and looks rugged on the bronze. I was lucky enough to purchase this from a local seller. I researched where I could find these straps online, which led me to this website - www.cheapestnatostraps.com/collections/kvarnsjo-leather?gclid=CjwKCAiAxJSPBhAoEiwAeO_fPyk9nqIkjXtjJ4HFJlHjlIZsK-dwXW2O6BVXY_VAaF_hvKdwMazKJBoCfuYQAvD_BwE
      Alternatively you can buy OEM Glycine straps/bracelets from this website below. I would suggest pairing this with one of the brown leather straps from one of the Airman, like the one I showed in the video...but have a look. Cheers - www.invictawatchbands.com/pages/glycine

    But how to use it under water with leather strap, rubber strap is more practical.

    • @timemeasured9137
      @timemeasured9137  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes indeed rubber is more practical for diving….however visually speaking I love the look of leather. And let’s be real, most of us are not going diving with these bronze models. Not even the Tudor bronze offers a rubber strap, they come on leather or fabric.

    My dad found a watch on the men's room floor are a train station in Chicago bsxkbin 1977, he said it was a bit wet,but wore it anyway, by the time he got home, he had kankur sores in his mouth and his pants were loaded with crabs
