    Spray silicone lubricant on cables helps when feeding cables through the fire wall gland..

    Should it be connected to the starter battery instead of the second battery?

    I'm new to this. Will this work with a car that runs a Smart Alternator?

      It has a setting in the app for smart alternators.

    Hi, thank you for a great video. I got pretty much the same setup. I haven’t got the Bluetti DCDC charger but I got 1000W inverter to charge BLUETTI AC180 Will that be good instead of installing BLUETTI DCDC charger, thank you.

      If you already have that setup then it shouldn't need to install a DC charger.

      @ thank you so much. I’m just about to purchase a new . BLUETTI AC180 but I wasn’t sure if that’s gonna work for me. I really appreciate it. Your advice don’t have to get a charger after all thank you.👍

    What did you run and for how long until you were down to 48% of charge?

      I cooked my breakfast and boiled the kettle a couple of times.

    but if this is hooked straight on the battery does it draw DC even when the engine/alternator is not working/revving

    • @ExpeditionAustralia
      @ExpeditionAustralia  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It doesn’t get enough voltage from the battery without the engine and alternator running so it doesn’t start charging.

      @@ExpeditionAustralia tnx - so no risk of draining the battery by accident , if you leave it plugged in, etc.

    • @ExpeditionAustralia
      @ExpeditionAustralia  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@dimitristsagdis7340 exactly. That’s why it was taking a while to start charging when I was testing it, because it took a minute or two for there to be enough volts available after the starter and second battery were topped up by the alternator. Once you turn the engine off the Charger 1 automatically shuts off.

      I contacted customer service as the Charger 1 still draws power even when a power bank is disconnected. They said use the circuit breaker as an on off switch. This goes against the FAQ and user manual. When disconnected from a charged power bank the green led will flash approximately once every 2 5 seconds. What company tells you to use a circuit breaker as an on off switch. They should have installed a switch on the Charger 1 itself, instead of saying after 30 mins it turns itself off automatically, which it doesn't.

      @ExpeditionAustralia it doesn't actually turn off after 30 mins.
