You've been missed! Hate I missed the premiere but happy to catch the video anyway. I have had B-Boy Blues for at least 2 whole years and you gave me the motivation to read before 2023 drops! Great discussion!
There's at least 3 sequels...'Second Time Around', 'If Only For One Night', and ;The Day Eazy-E Died'....all terrific
I was pleasantly surprised to see a review of this book. I read it when UT 1st came out (showing my age, 😆). It was one of my favorite books back then. Agree completely it was a toxic relationship and when Raheem hit Mitchell, it broke my heart. Didn't want them to get back together. You got me wanting to do a read again, this time ill include the audio. I didn't know the movie was made. The last I heard it was talk of it being made. I did read the 2nd book but didn't enjoy it like the 1st one. I'm a fairly new subscriber and I'm enjoying your older videos. Take care.
The main thing I am trying to understand is what is the film trying to say? Did the writer intend to incite self reflection to commentary and conversation ? or was the movie/book not aware of itself considering how it ended, it came across as just another toxic gay black “love story?”
i had it when i lived Los Angeles
THE BOOK I USED TO READ BOOKS ON THE SUB TRAIN
Oh man this movie was so bad
