I literally just finished Ander and Santi Were Here!!! I’m currently reading Somebody’s Daughter by Ashley C. Ford, and I’m looking at Homebodies next.

In my world it would be something like, “Love is not all: it is not meat not drink”.

Definitely going to check this out. I have been watching a lot of your videos and I have been loving these recommendations. Black girl, call home is my favorite so far.

think i def would've enjoyed this book if i hadn't read the official book synopsis but otherwise it was so nice to read a book by and starring a black fat sapphic woman!! every time mickey spoke abt her insecurities due to her body, esp in relation to tee it was like seeing my thoughts on the page like!! such a worthy read

I feel like the synopsis really does this book a disservice. It makes it seem like it's all about her job, when that's just the beginning and end of the novel. I've been mulling this one over since I read it, so I appreciate hearing your perspective! Did you read the author's article at the Cut titled “It Doesn’t Matter If We Behave”? It really complemented the book for me.
