Would you try this WD-40 hack? See the full cleaning episode here! th-cam.com/video/NAJGOxz25EI/w-d-xo.html
You oiled the headlights. Its similar to oiling a piece of wood. It made is shiny but didnt do much else.
Yes, but since she used the regular wd40, it also corrodes the headlights
😂
@diogoneves2785 WD 40 doesnt corrode,if anything it prevents corrosion due to its oils, but these are deep penetrating oils which strip other oils instead of lubricating oils so the excess wd 40 might get into bolts around the headlights, if there are any, and loosen them
They look the same. Try Cerakote headlight restoration kit. It’s amazing
Right😂
This isnt a permanent fix only temporary as the products wash off! Get the 3m 5 step kit and start charging people
If you really want them to shine just get Blinker fluid
I loved that she liked it 😂😂😂😂😂
Booooom
WD is the new blinker fluid😂🤣
She would have to get a left handed monkey wrench and radio plugs first.
Use Sylvania headlight kit they will be crystal clear and have UV protection product has a lifetime warranty
The best way to do this is sand them down and use a UV sealer on the outside
The only way 🤣🤷🏾♂️
Use very little brake cleaner on a paper towel instead and wipe it quickly in one direction. it will remove all that nasty yellowness permanently. Just dont over do it you will melt your headlights.
Thanks for the tip!💕
It still DID look better after spraying & wiping
If you buy an inexpensive headlight cleaning kit, use some elbow grease, you will see the headlights actually become crystal clear again. A sealant will give you a few months of clarity before it yellows again. If you don't have any of that, I think a non-gel toothpaste and a rag will help scrub off the yellowing but it won't seal the plastic so it will yellow again.
Thank you for the tip!
@@LisaBurninghamThis is the toothpaste method: th-cam.com/video/rXHTXdlWw1w/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=ChrisFix You might be able to just make a paste out of baking soda too, the objective is to remove that hazy layer of plastic. I take about 10 minutes total to do my headlights every few months or so.
@@panachevitz Thank you! You’re so kind!
You should try hummus with lemon (or vinegar).
I just did citric acid and baking powder, but when I swaped lemon juice for citric acid, it cleaned up better.
@Dflonn Hi. So, lemon and baking soda really works, well????
Saying it did something, but still go get those aftermarket headlights, it’ll make the car look so much better
Not really cleaning, but moreso an introductory lesson in refraction and photonics
Off bug spray also does the trick
Wow!! That’s so cool. I’ll have to give that a try. Thank you!💕
use toothpaste and scrub with a tooth brush
that would definately make it brighter than sun :D :p
wow - absolutely nothing happend
Just use toothpaste. Cheaper also. WD40 is better for stucky windows & doors sides.
Thanks for the tip!
And scratches 👍
@@LisaBurningham toothpaste baking soda and and a lemon
Works great for a week or 2! I have done it
Not bad for a short term fix, while waiting for a proper restoration.
It will work if they aren't fogged up badly. Those need to be cleaned with rubbing compound or a headlight cleaner to make them look new again.
600 grit sandpaper then 800 grit then compound polish then wed40
@@RyanSmithEntertainment
It depends on how bad they are. No reason for WD40
Much better results with Off insect spray but has to say 40% Deet on the can. Repel works also but needs to say 40% on it also. The WD-40 does not remove it all but the OFF or Repel will and most look new after cleaned with it. Use if possible a white terry cloth towel like a bath towel with the little bristles works best and if you use a white cloth you will see the yellow on the towel after using the insect spray. I spray it on the full lens’s then let it sit and soak for about 30 seconds each lens then scrub it clean towel or cloth. Repeat 2-3 times.
Thanks for the tip! Great idea!
lmao great troll
What is that insect spray doing to your body if it can do this to headlights?
@@jdollarthegreat yep can’t be good.
I just did this on my son’s car. I couldn’t even see the round circles of the light. It improved the look and transparency at least 90%. I showed my husband and he couldn’t believe it. I don’t know how long it will last, but it was worth a try to me.
Awesome! I’m happy it worked!
Next time let your son Do it Himself
Do you mean he actually COUND'T believe it? Like, did he say that exactly? What was the conversation like? Please elaborate
It will last till it rains
Toothpaste 👍
Use aluminum polish! Then wax them. The oil that makes it look transparent will wash away.
Nice! Thanks for the tip!
😂
WD-40 is good for so many things.
It sure is! I’m positive I’ve only caught a glimpse of what this stuff can do. Have a wonderful Memorial Day!💕
@@LisaBurningham maybe you could do a video strictly devoted to it. Thanks, you too.
@@MrsAlmaTrumble Love it! Great idea.
@@LisaBurningham thanks.
...not for this......lulz
Dang !! Thank you 😊 I thought the lens cover had to be removed. I’ll try it in the morning or this evening when it cools off out there.
Nice! Just spray it on and you’re good to go!
Carpeală
After 40 mic is more like before bad 😂
😅
Off bug spray works 10x better
Are you sure, because I just brought a 2012, and the headlights need something done seriously.
The sun dries up all the oils in the plastic, like a scurry-curl juice kit in the 80's. If you use activator on yo car like wd40, it will glisten. But you need to keep some luster's conditioner moisturizer on it to give it that soul glow effect. In short, Wd40 and Mother's wheel and mag cleaner polish. Life Hack on!!!
Thank for the tip!
Wow that’s amazing!
Right?! Nuts! Have a wonderful Memorial Day!💕
@@LisaBurningham You too Lisa!
Love the ruby top on you!
Hey sweet sister! I’m so happy you liked it!💕
Awesome
Thank you sweet lady!💕
Use brake cleaner
Nice! Thanks for the tip.
Bug spray any with DEET in it WORKS 1000X BETTER
