I like to picture a guy sitting in his house that's haunted and the spirits have been relentless, his family is at a motel and he doesn't have the money to move. He then realizes the "ghosts" are just mad the man and his family changed everything about the house and so he starts restoring it back to its original look but with fresh paint etc. During this the ghosts look on happy and while they're still there, they can all live in peace together.

Well, she cheated on me and I found out about it but I never told her. I thought I was the problem, so I changed every bad habit I had and stepped up BIG. tom was great but i think he should stay and keep his music like this, because this is the perfect pattern from all of AVA album after wdntw... better than their EP nowadays
Tom doesn't care about a "defined" style. AVA has always been an extension of Tom himself, and he's always evolving and changing. This is his project that lets him creatively express himself, and if the style changes then that's just how it is. I personally love everything he's put out, especially the newer stuff.
