We Got DENIED from Boarding our Flight in Kathmandu, Nepal 🇳🇵 | Our Worst Day Ever

  • As we were completing the check-in for our flight from Kathmandu to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, we got denied from boarding. This is our worst day ever!
    Today it was a very frustrating day, as things didn't go as planned. It is even more annoying that airlines always get away with their little tricks, and yes, the fact that the airline employee behind the counter mentioned that this has happened many times and nothing has changed, has a lot to say.
    Thank you so much for watching. If you liked this video please don't forget to like and subscribe, and for more travel adventures check our social media:

    Will never be flying with @vistara Based on our first experience, we wouldn't recommend this company; poor customer service in person and via email, and of course, no refund.

    I understand it could be frustrating... but as travelers, you should have researched and read about such circumstances, it's not the staff's fault because there are rules to be followed. Have you been allowed to board, you would have encountered problems in India (your transit) and the airline staff in Nepal would have faced issues for allowing you to board...
    This is a learning experience that may hurt now but it's a learned lesson. Good luck and stay safe on your future travels.

      Yes, it’s frustrating for sure and we did do a lot of research but in this case the regulations were not clear and it does happen in certain countries where it’s a bit more bureaucratic! But we appreciate the different opinions from people on this video, and ultimately our purpose of posting this video was to share our experience and for other people to be aware of the challenges we faced so that they can avoid the same problems in their travels 🤗 The bank was hurt for sure but we continue enjoying every moment of our journey and we hope you do too🫶

      The problem is when Democratic India lacks a streamlined enquiry and processing for specific Indian visas. Posh Vistara airlines also should know better by giving clear advice to passengers transiting Democratic India!

    I researched quite a little and found out that you guys need visa for India cause your checked in baggage was gonna be out at the baggage claim which means you guys would have to leave the transit terminal. In addition to that your luggage would not had been transferred to the flight to Vietnam so you would had to take your baggage and checked in again for the next flight. I would suggest not buying separate tickets if you guys are reading this and please read ticket like baggage not transferred or some other stuffs such as that. However, those staffs were rude to you guys and they usually are like that. Hope you guys will have a safe flight and stay in Vietnam🇻🇳🥰

      Thank you so much for your comment and advice! There was a lack of support from the airline from our perspective, having purchased a ticket with their airline and them having more experience it would have been easier for them to support us with alternatives. We understand the different opinions from people on this video, and of course it was very long footage so you can’t see the whole interaction that led to the heated up moments. However our purpose of posting this video was to share our experience and for other people to be aware of the challenges we faced so that they can avoid the same problems in their travels 🤗 Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts 😁

    To be honest guys, you got yourselves into this by not reading visa guidelines for the transit through india. The check-in agents were competent and patient here. Imagine doing this in Heathrow or New York JKF - you’d land in an interrogation room with border agents for trying to cause trouble after a minute or two of discussion 🤣

    I understand your frustration and they could have been more helpful at check in desk. But with all due respect, it is our own responsibility to make sure we have the correct visa whether it’s a transit visa or a holiday one. And India is one of those places where you would need to obtain one. They are very strict with foreign passports. The airline doesn’t necessarily need to inform the passengers about the visas. And just for a heads up to anyone travelling anywhere that are transiting through the UK with a foreign passport you will need to obtain a visa for the UK unless your passport doesn’t require one. In the UK we have a very similar rules and I have heard of many passengers denied boarding because of that.

    • @carmaadventures
      @carmaadventures  27 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      It was our mistake indeed, our research led us to this situation. But airlines knowing about the documentation needed would make passenger's life easier, rather than customers doing research from 0. Also, this heated conversation occurred 1 hour/ 2 hours before the flight, and we have not received a refund as apparently "we didn't notify them before the flight" even though they denied us boarding. Situations like this helps us be better prepared in the future

      @@carmaadventures sorry to hear that. Fingers crossed you will get something back from the airline. Keep writing to their customer service team with all the necessary evidence. The forigners try everything that they can relate to from the countries they have visited and by default they try to base their reson here like why isnt it working here, then the local staff just panickingly trying to give the rules and regulations monologue and that creates a vibe like they are showing harsh attitude rather than helping

If you’re getting off from a plane to another country always check their visa requirements. You cant blame the airlines, its not their Job to check your visas.
