    I watched tons of mounting installation videos and NO ONE covered the detail that you did. Searched everywhere for those black circle pieces that you can use for uneven walls (if needed) they are not even mentioned! Your video was extremely detailed and made my install a success!! THANK YOU

    Got this tv and hired an installer through the Samsung website and set up to have them come out 5 days after it was supposed to get here in the morning. Now there’s a delay and of course the tv can be delivered just a few hours after my installation appointment. Try to reschedule and it’s 2 more weeks out. Then I think why am I going through all this. I installed a movable wall mount and the same size tv last time. I can do this. So here I am. Grew up with an extremely handy and mechanical brother and sister, so I’ve always thought of myself as incapable. But forget that! I’ve been doing all kinds of stuff since I bought my house 2 years ago. Thanks for the video. It’s very straightforward

    Super helpful video - thank you!
    Just a heads up for those who have a 50 inch frame - the measurements provided by Samsung were materially off for the measurement labelled "D" for my TV (2022 frame, 50inch). It states 566mm on the sheet, but it is actually more like 547mm-ish.
    I would recommend doing the following before using the Samsung measurement blindly: place the brackets on the TV in the exact same position that B The Installer does at the start of the video (with the screw in the middle of the 3 leaf clover thingy). Then, with your TV resting on the ground, attach the wall brackets to the TV bracket and position it how it would theoretically hang on the wall. Perform the 'D' measurement manually with a tape measure to confirm the true measurement. This was 547mm for me and not the 566mm stated.
    This might not be a huge difference, but I had some drywall holes near the lower end of my desired final TV hanging space and if I had used Samsung's 566mm provided measurement, the holes would have showed.
    Anyway - good luck all, thanks again for the video!

    I'm an installer and have done this tv once before. I have another one to do today and wanted to brush up on it. Your video is nice and detailed. This video will help me move faster during installation. I just wonder how in the world does Samsung push all of that power and data through a single cable!

    Great installation video! My wife and I treated ourselves to the same 75” Frame TV that you demonstrated. I’ve hung a number of flat screen TV’s over the years, bet never a Frame. I didn’t know about the separate controller box-it makes total sense with the overall design of the TV. Now I’ll be able to get the installation location prepped properly Thanks, again!

    The One Wire is a game changer to replace existing TV with prior premiere installs having all the ports and boxes already installed behind the TV and client wanting TV to be flush to wall. Good to know that reworking wall and old wires will add time to install. One Wire looks great for new location. Thanks for the how to tips! I had not done a flush mount until today and the client has stuff from old system. Good job on everything!

    I noticed you installed the toggle bolts in horizontally versus vertically. For the correct weight load distribution, the metal tabs need to be vertical to support the advertised weight of the toggle bolt. That is very important. Installing them with the metal tab horizontally reduces the weight the toggle can support and could cause a heavier tv to fall off the wall. Just an FYI. I use to install these in best buy stores for years.

    • @BTheInstaller
      @BTheInstaller  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Just so everyone is clear on this...
      1. The toggle bolts will hold most weight vertically, but if you have two, one above the other... the metal hits metal when placing them vertically so it's best to angle them a little.
      2. The weight of this tv is not a concern, 4 toggle bolts can hold a 300 LB tv, which this is not.
      Glad people enjoy the video and are saying attention. 😀 ✌️

  • @RoyCampanella44

    Compreshensive intructional video. Thanks!
    Even without the template, using the Samsung provide directions he references: A=3.2 down and B= 8.6 in or whatever, along with this made the install clear. Then double check with the template, if you have it.
    As he mentions in the video, as long as the two brackets are the right distance apart (also a letter-identified measurement on the Samsung diagram, the self-leveling capacity of the brackets sliding on the slippery stick-on pieces should level it out. Don't be afraid! You got this.
    TIP: Depending on the size of the screw head you use, you might want to buy some smallish washers. The large-headed black screws provide are fine, if you're fastening to a stud. However, the oblong holes in the mounting plates are fairly wide, up and down, and small screw heads slip right through.

    • @Swiftaps
      @Swiftaps 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably worked this out already but if it's 3mm at the bottom and 25mm at the top, the hooks are probably not snapping down into the bottom part of the latch. It requires more force than reasonably expected. A Samsung forum poster recommends removing the hooks from the TV to snap them on and off a couple of times before handing the TV.

    Thanks for this video. I used it to hang 2 Frame TVs. Question: I need to hang an 85lb 2’ wide wall mirror. It has two strap hangers on the back and says don’t use a wire. To center it I can’t hit a stud, only drywall. Do you think the 100lb Adjustable J-Hooks (50lbs each) on Amazon could really do it? Instead of using the included 2 nails each hook into the drywall I could use 1 toggle bold each hook. And as a backup, if they failed, I could have a 100lb wire to catch on a nail into a stud (not centered). I just can’t believe drywall can hold so much weight. Thanks. This video was my go to video form both my 55” and 65” Frame TVs.

    Hung up my 2022 Frame thanks to your videos. I did a bunch of research and found an easy solution for the One-Wire. I used "Thermoflex Flexo F6 Flame Retardant, 3/8" (1/4" would work too) around the One-Wire. Easier than a plastic conduit. Obviously, you can just not do anything, but thought I'd share another solution.
    Also, have you had an issue with the TV not sitting flush against the wall within the bracket? Mine looks like it's very slightly angled down. I read online that some people have had a problem with this. I don't want to force the TV all the way down in the bracket for fear of damaging the TV.

    • @elizaII
      @elizaII 2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      I recently installed our model (thanks b the installer!!!) and did some poking around prior to hanging the TV up.
      The hook that goes onto the mount need to "click" when you slide it on vertically. Those metal tabs on the mount makes the hook snug once it's in place, so you can't just slide the TV on and let it rest against the wall. You need to pull it down when sliding the hooks hang onto the mount and hear some clicks (which means the tabs have made room for the hooks).
      I think a fix for your current setup is to slide your TV up, angle it outwards to get some viewing room where the hooks are, and slide it back down and listen for the click. You need to use a little force 😅 but I get that it can be scary.
      Best of luck!! Mine is flush against the wall after doing the above 😄

    newbie here. so what exactly are the risks you run when running wires that are not in wall rated in the wall?

  • @tylerbogaard375
    @tylerbogaard375 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Definitely get that in-wall rated cable. Yes I know it seems like a pain, cuz it is, but in the event of a home fire, it could end up being the difference between your insurance company covering it or not. Definitely worth the price then. To be honest, with how Samsung seems to intend for this to be installed, I think it's kinda stupid that they even supply a cable that isn't in-wall rated and then make you buy the other one for an extra fee. Just supply every one with the in-wall rated cable so people don't get confused.

    • @BTheInstaller
      @BTheInstaller  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The in-walp cable is much thicker and looks bad externally. The thin wire they provide is barely visible if outside wall. This is at least 1 year ago anyways. The one wire is thicker on other models.

    • @gingerlindsey
      @gingerlindsey 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @BTheInstaller I am confused! There must be two separate cables! One is the cable that runs from the ONE Connect Box to the TV and the other is the power cord that runs from the ONE Connect Box to the power outlet. If run within walls, would not both of these cables need to be in-wall rated?
      Now, we intend to mount a box behind the television to house the One Connect Box. To just run the cable from the tv to the One Connect Box that sits directly behind the tv, I would not think an in-wall rated cable would be required. Or would it? That still leaves the power cord that runs from the Box to the wall outlet. Is this power cord in-wall rated or must one be purchased?
      Thanks for your help.

    Great video. Tonnes of help. Will do the install myself now. Strongly suggest people play around with the wall bracket piece and the square tv bracket before installing them to the wall and t.v.. You'll see how to hang the tv bracket, close the bracket, then raise it slightly to see how the magnet in the tv bracket strongly grabs the tv bracket to the wall bracket. Pretty cool how it is designed. You'll also see how to lift the bottom of the tv bracket to get it to release from the wall bracket.

      We use toggle bolts on plaster and lath to hang floating shelves that hold books. They work great! We haven’t installed our mount yet but plan on using toggle bolts.

    I just installed a Samsung The Frame 55" and found the included instructions and template to be awful. As far making it easy to mount the tv where you want it - if you, say, think you want to mount it 61" on center from the floor, the template isn't marked to show you how far up from the brackets you're mounting that the tv will sit It doesn't even give you a centering line. And I would say most people want to know how far off the ground the tv will sit or if it's centered on a wall or in a particular space. I should also note: I'm a carpenter and I mount a lot of tvs for clients as a courtesy after punch listing a job, so it's not like this was my first rodeo. I got it done - no thanks to Samsung - but for the many DIYers out there who might not have the experience, you're video should be a big help.

    How wide are the wall bracket pieces? I’m looking to buy this to buy I have an outlet on the wall that might get in the way of the bracket. Wanted to get those measurements before I purchase and realize it won’t work.

    Great video. Interesting that the one connect box cable is not wall rated as a lot of people are going to want to hide it in a wall. It seems as though Samsung made a wall version, but I can’t seem to find one to purchase. Is there a workaround for this or do you basically have to go against code to do it?

    @BTheinstaller I have a customer who wants to put F TV over the GAS fireplace. This fireplace HAS a chimney to the roofline. There is a window on each side of the fireplace which means there will be at least 4 1/2" of lumber between the window. You have made it look so easy she didn't understand why I couldn't simply run the wire into the wall and out at the bottom. Can you come to Michigan and explain? LOL

    I used your video to hang my 2 frame TVs 65” And 55” but now I wonder if all this was necessary. Have you seen the 3M Claw 65 hooks? It’s crazy that you could used two of these to hang a frame TV into drywall only… and have almost no mark on the wall of you ever took it down.

    Quick question I just did the day before yesterday a 65 inch Samsung now with the rear bracket, on the back of the bracket it says rear bracket to the right and it has one to the left. He put the right on the left and the left on the right, all the measurements was good but he kept getting an error so all he really did was slid the mount over so that it could latch on. I think that’s what he did wrong. He had them on backwards the opposite way if he would’ve listened to me he would have no problems, but he didn’t want to listen, am I correct?

      The L one goes on the left as you're looking at the back.

    With this install the 'One Box' is inside a cabinet, and I am assuming the remote control still works. Does this mean it is not using IR to communicate with the box? If so, does anyone know how this works? I would like to install the One Box in the room behind the wall (single layer brick). My only other option is to have the cable coming down the wall as there is no cavity for me to be able to chase the cable into the wall and install the box anywhere else.
    Thanks
