Were the screw heads on the screws that came in the pack with the snag toggle bolts you linked to on Amazon wide enough to hold up the mount ? ? They don’t look very wide in the picture on Amazon I have one stud also I can tap into but the black screws that came with the TV are going in the stud well and I’m worried I’m gonna strip them trying to get them in .. any suggestions ?

We want to mount our 65inch 2021 Samsung Frame TV over a 30”high sideboard in our living room. What would you suggest be the ideal height considering both tv viewing while sitting down and the fact that it is an art piece when not watching tv?
One thing you can add on your next video is to tape up the end of the connector before you start pulling it up the wall. You want to protect that from debris and from being damaged . Great video!
The separate mounts do not allow for 16" on center so it will always need a combo of wood screws and toggle bolts. Wish the mount was one long piece, that would allow for catching more studs.
Installed my 50” Frame TV two weeks ago. It wasn’t easy, but I learned a couple things that help: 1) Those slippery stickers on the back of the TV are so you can adjust it slightly after it’s mounted. This is handy for leveling it since it’s really hard to get those two plates mounted exactly right. 2) If you rip those silver pieces out of the wall plates before you mount them, the TV will sit flush like it’s supposed to. Go figure. If you don’t, the TV will not lie flush against the wall.
@@AdamFrankadampfrank sorry, it’s behind the TV. But each of the two plates that mount to the wall have two smaller chrome-looking pieces attached to them. Theses metal parts are attached to each other where there are holes through both. It is possible to remove the chrome pieces by prying them apart at those holes. It’s a little scary since it doesn’t seem like you should have to pry them apart, but it was a huge improvement.
The bracket on the TV is not supposed to be fixed; it actually swivels and slide upward from its neutral position once the TV is hung. The design of the non-stationary bracket position relative to the TV allows for theinstaller to be able to adjust TV after it is hung to get it leveled. I have watched 4-5 installation TH-cam videos., but no one has mentioned this design, which I am formulated based on my assessment of the bracket to TV relationship. You can tighten the single bolt between the bracket and TV as tight as it will go, but the bracket will not cinge down competely and will slip out of its neutral position. The bracket also has an open slot, I believe to allow the bracket to shift as needed for balancing the TV. I think that is why you are supposed to stick on that slippery insert between the bracket and the back of the TV. A couple of TH-cam installer expects have mentioned they do not know why you have to stick on this insert under the bracket. I believe it is there to aid the TV to swivel in the vertical plane to allow the TV to level out after installation. I could be wrong, but the above is my assessment. Also, by having two brackets, the TV gets more stability (more safe than one bracket), and the movement designed within the two brackets allow leveling of the TV after it is hung. It is actually an ingenious design (regarding the brackets).
How do I adjust one side ever so slightly to level it out? My installer installed one side slightly below the other :(. Its also not fully flush so i imagine this is where the silver bolts / extra downward force comes in

I can't believe that Samsung designed the mounting brackets to be 12" wide when standard stud distance is 16" ... The mounting brackets are basically unmountable without additional hardware.
Here’s a question, how the hell did you run conduit sideways through a wall without being stopped by a stud?? Was the wall behind the fire place built out and hollow? This would not work in a standard wall, unless you’re staying in the same stud cavity.
i was thinking, “how the hell he gonna make that lateral run without cutting out a lot more of the drywall????” i hate how a lot of youtubers simply skip over the part of the job that would require A LOT more work and at least 2 more days to complete (patching, mudding, sanding, texturing, painting)
Ya this was the reason I wanted to watch this video, how do you get a 2 inch tube horizontally past multiple studs?? Of course that part was skipped over lol.
Those big black square stickers... Since the brackets that attach to the TV are meant to slide around the attachment area, I believe those stickers are there to reduce the friction between the bracket and the TV. As for the screws, they are meant to be used with the enclosed anchors. So I'm not surprised that they don't work well screwing into a stud.
Interesting video! Felt very honest and not "rigged" in any way. Love that you said it "only took a few seconds" to fish that out from the wall, I found myself inventing a little magnet fishing rod to get mine out when installing network cables and stuff, after many minutes of foul language. So, I laughed a little too much at that part. Anyway, after this I have a much better understanding to how to install one of these and what to look for regarding fastening the mounts on the wall, so thank you very much.
Great video! I have a 2019 55” frame and just got a 2021 43” for a small bedroom. Samsung has really made the install much more difficult! For the 43” not only is the mount split but there is no tilt feature which means you have to line up the screw heads on tv with a mount that you cannot see. Very disappointing.
Great advice, Very helpfull although I would tend to put some tape over the end of the plug whilst pulling it through to stop and plaster dusk and dirt getting I to it.

You stopped needing to angle TVs down years ago when they improved the viewing angles. That's why this TV is perfectly fine mounted flat and flush against the wall

Is it practically just as safe as the pricy in-wall rated cable? ▪ What is the diameter of the conduit? ▪ And what kind of conduit is it exactly? Will any plastic conduit do, or should it be a specific one intended for electrical wire usage?
It doesnt look like the brackets are fully engaged with the magnets. If this is the case, you need to put pressure to snap it in place or bend the brackets out slightly so that the hangers will fit.

Does the type of "conduit" used in the video to protect the cable meet NEC standards? Or is this a code violation? I'm not sure this is sufficient to prevent a fire in the rare case of a cable failure.
Thanks for posting. i have an upcoming install above a zero clearance fireplace surround wrapped in slab marble and porcelain tile so all the conduit/mounting locations/ one wire box behind the TV will have to be laid out at framing and maintained thru slab/tile. this primer helps me get a game plan, appreciate it!

Thank you B! Excellent video. However, I was curious regarding the lack of the term no-gap on the wall mount. How did it look from the side when you were finished? We have a 75" frame coming soon and would like to know if the tv did in fact sit flush with the wall.
We have not installed on the wall yet. We will likely be installing a texture surface to the wall first and that has taken some time to arrange. But we purchased a Samsung white frame overlay and it appears that the tv will sit perfectly flush when we do install it. Looking forward to having that done.
Impeccable work as usual B. Hey one question, I noticed the ToggleBolts come with round-head screws, whereas Samsung always provides flat-head screws. In some of my installs the round-head screws precluded more than the flat-head ones impeding the Frame to be 100% flat against the surface. Don’t you find this issue on your installs? You should do an install of the 2021 43" Fram TWITTER, it comes with two separate mounts that are not attached, it's super hard to align and install correctly and slide the TV in.
While I appreciate all the effort taken to make these videos, I have to wonder why you choose to write on the walls. As an installer myself, I have always used blue painters tape on the wall to mark on and remove. This way there aren’t hieroglyphics remaining after install. ✌🏻
Doing 2 tomorrow for a client and yes the temple help to install these... as you mentioned takes a bit more math now without one.. also too bad they didn't design a one-piece for the wall instead of the two left n right easier install and have more chance to hit studs
Dude, perfect timing. Getting the 65” delivered today. Primary purpose in the room is the art feature. Have existing conduit in the wall about 1” in diameter, not sure I’ll be able to get the one wire to fit. We shall see!

Mine ended up going through without any difficulty. I don't know the exact diameter though since it was already in wall. I want to say the inside diameter was around 1.25". Sorry I didn't take measurements before hanging.
@@BTheInstaller just FYI. The conduit you linked in the description is a split conduit but the one you are using in your video is NOT a split. Are they rated for 110-220v?

Your videos are fantastic! Question for you: Can you use those toggles (or similar) to mount the brackets on the back wall of a cabinet or bookshelf. I have a huge shelving unit from RH with a very thin back wall. My current tv is on a stand in the center portion of the unit. I'd like to mount the frame in that section instead. Answering my own question: I did use toggles (similar to the ones used here but much smaller- made for 1/4-1/2 inch walls) and they worked like a charm. This video was a great help. Got the 55" version of this tv mounted and on in no time. Mine did come with a template so maybe they forgot yours? Thanks again!
What if the fireplace got remodeled and has cement board and stone veneer, will the toggle bolts work? There is a horizontal 2x4 behind the wall, would that work?

I just purchased the Frame tv and my Wall Mount brackets on tv are very loose. I tightened all the way down and can still slide the piece. When the screw is tightened into the tv is it supposed to make it so the bracket won’t move? I am just wondering if mine is defective or if the movement is ok?
How conduit helps with code violation ? The same goes with video found on Home Depot website where they run electric cable through the wall. It’s electric code violation in the US and Canada. Insurance team will be happy to find it and not to cover anything if frame turns into fire :)

sometimes, above the newer houses built, the fireplace is electric and behind that fireplace wall is completely hollow. easy run.

Thank you B! Excellent video. However, I was curious regarding the lack of the term no-gap on the wall mount. How did it look from the side when you were finished? We have a 75" frame coming soon and would like to know if the tv did in fact sit flush with the wall.
How do you like the 75"? Is it sitting as flush as you had hoped? Looking to install one soon.
We have not installed on the wall yet. We will likely be installing a texture surface to the wall first and that has taken some time to arrange. But we purchased a Samsung white frame overlay and it appears that the tv will sit perfectly flush when we do install it. Looking forward to having that done.

Impeccable work as usual B. Hey one question, I noticed the ToggleBolts come with round-head screws, whereas Samsung always provides flat-head screws. In some of my installs the round-head screws precluded more than the flat-head ones impeding the Frame to be 100% flat against the surface. Don’t you find this issue on your installs? Thanks for posting another great instructional.

Great video!! Samsung has failed us integrators by eliminating the template for the mount as if we don’t have enough to do already as busy as things have been the past year and a half.

You should do an install of the 2021 43" Fram TWITTER, it comes with two separate mounts that are not attached, it's super hard to align and install correctly and slide the TV in.
2022 is the same but comes with a weird template. Thanks for the great vid

While I appreciate all the effort taken to make these videos, I have to wonder why you choose to write on the walls. As an installer myself, I have always used blue painters tape on the wall to mark on and remove. This way there aren’t hieroglyphics remaining after install. ✌🏻
Doing 2 tomorrow for a client and yes the temple help to install these... as you mentioned takes a bit more math now without one.. also too bad they didn't design a one-piece for the wall instead of the two left n right easier install and have more chance to hit studs

Dude, perfect timing. Getting the 65” delivered today. Primary purpose in the room is the art feature. Have existing conduit in the wall about 1” in diameter, not sure I’ll be able to get the one wire to fit. We shall see!
I'm in a similar situation and should be getting my 65" next week. How did it work out? Were you able to get the cable through the existing conduit?
same! struggling now to find an appropriate size for a conduit - would love to know what the absolute minimum size diameter should be for passing the one connect ends through
Mine ended up going through without any difficulty. I don't know the exact diameter though since it was already in wall. I want to say the inside diameter was around 1.25". Sorry I didn't take measurements before hanging.
I linked the conduit I used in description. 1" won't do. The small end is 1.2 inches.
@@BTheInstaller just FYI. The conduit you linked in the description is a split conduit but the one you are using in your video is NOT a split. Are they rated for 110-220v?

the stickers are to allow the tv L & R brackette to slide around for self leveling.
Your videos are fantastic! Question for you: Can you use those toggles (or similar) to mount the brackets on the back wall of a cabinet or bookshelf. I have a huge shelving unit from RH with a very thin back wall. My current tv is on a stand in the center portion of the unit. I'd like to mount the frame in that section instead. Thanks for posting all of this great info!
Answering my own question: I did use toggles (similar to the ones used here but much smaller- made for 1/4-1/2 inch walls) and they worked like a charm. This video was a great help. Got the 55" version of this tv mounted and on in no time. Mine did come with a template so maybe they forgot yours? Thanks again!
What if the fireplace got remodeled and has cement board and stone veneer, will the toggle bolts work? There is a horizontal 2x4 behind the wall, would that work?

Sorry if you've answered this somewhere else. But I was wondering if it was normal for the TV to bow slightly at the top when it's installed on the wall mount? I noticed the tv itself allows for a little bit of give.

I just purchased the Frame tv and my Wall Mount brackets on tv are very loose. I tightened all the way down and can still slide the piece. When the screw is tightened into the tv is it supposed to make it so the bracket won’t move? I am just wondering if mine is defective or if the movement is ok?
How do you traverse the conduit across possibly multiple studs, isn't it too thick to get through?

How conduit helps with code violation ?
The same goes with video found on Home Depot website where they run electric cable through the wall. It’s electric code violation in the US and Canada. Insurance team will be happy to find it and not to cover anything if frame turns into fire :)
