    I was on the fence. But I actually really found your review extremely helpful and I think the benefits outweight the negatives. To have a beautiful piece or art or a family portrait up on the wall instead of an ugly tv with a large gap seems amazing.

    honestly, the one connect box is the one thing that sold me the tv. if other brands start to do this, I might even consider other options because the art mode isn't my 1st priority. the ease of use is.

    Hi great video, and very informative. FYI on Samsung Qled's if one switches to Ambient Mode and then connects their phone or music player to the tv via Bluetooth, you can simultaneously enjoy your pictures and music in the background.

    Your video is very timely. Bought my 55" Frame yesterday expecting delivery tomorrow. You answered many of my questions that the retailer couldn't. I did my research before shopping, so many of my were based on that need. Great, informative video.

      I bought the 55 in, awaiting delivery today. Been researching it for a long time and finally bit the bullet the bullet. I hate having a big black block of emptiness on my wall. Therefore I have not had a TV for a very long time. Instead opted for a projector, but that had it's limitations. For one not great for day watching. The Samsung Frame I think will be the best solution out there for my needs. I'm a avid photographer and would love to showcase my own photographs as well as theirs on the screen . Thank you for the review!

    Likely folks have figured this out I read somewhere else that you can hold the "1-2-3 button" for a few seconds to access an input menu shortcut? Not at all intuitive. I'm late to the party as The Frame is now creeping into my conscious now heavy discounts are available. Great walkthrough thanks, best of the many I have watched. I'm an ATV user so would be able to mitigate the garbage interface to a large extent. p.s Ignore the haters, they likely couldn't even write a few words let alone put the considerable effort in that you demonstrably have. Really good content and presentation style.

    The remote also charges from ambient radio waves, and the solar panel doesn't need to be in the sun - it can charge from artificial (aka ceiling) lights

  • @EmmettLyman

    Great review, thank you so much. A question that comes to mind regarding your findings with the input source confusion: if one would rather completely avoid the garbage software by using a Fire TV Stick and thereby the Fire TV smart experience (just allowing the frame to be a display rather than “smart”), can Art Mode still be easily implemented when TV content is not being viewed?

    What a great in depth review! We need a new 65 inch TV and I’ve been wanting “the Frame” since last year. I especially liked the hint about if you were going to put the cord in the wall (which we are) you would need to get the one with a cover, so it doesn’t start a fire. I learned a lot, now to find the best price. I wonder if the 2023’s are out? 🧐 Thanks your video was super helpful. 👍

    1. Did the mounting kit include lag bolts and anchors for the brick install?

    3. Does the fireplace get too hot for the unit?

      @@watcher0101 I got the answers by actually buying the tv and finding out. Answers to my questions below if you are interested.
      1. Yes!
      2. Combo of both based on spacing and size of the TV. I did not have an issue drilling through either.
      3. For me, it’s OK. The bottom of the TV is 14 inches from the opening of the fireplace.

    • @BreakItYourself
      @BreakItYourself  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So sorry for just now seeing this.
      2. I went into the brick. You should try and avoid anchors in the mortar at all costs.
      3. My fireplace doesn’t get the bricks behind the TV above room temperature, so what I have to look out for is heat rising from the fireplace itself. The mantle shields the TV from any heat rising from the fireplace.

    The biggest problem with this device if you want to use your own photos is that you can’t set up folders. You are limited to either cycling through ‘my photos’ or ‘favourites’. This would seem to be such a trivial thing to fix but it has been the same on all frames for some years now. In that respect the Netgear Mural is much better but unfortunately the Mural hardware is unreliable in my experience.

What I would like to know is what options I have for closing what pictures/photos that should be in the slide show, how one can set different times för different slides/photos and if the slide show just repeats itself. I understand they photos should be uploaded from using the app or uploading from a USB. What formats are required for the pictures/phots to fill the screen? Maybe other Samsung screens without TV but made for being on 24 hours would be a better option? Samsung got different lines with different software inbuilt för showing pictures. Thanks!!

    I have the 2021 model. I do like it, but there are a couple of things I feel like Samsung could improve upon. One, I feel like the sound settings are lacking, my old tv had the means to pick better sound for us based on what we are watching. The frame around the tv is lacking, sure you can buy a Deco frame for about 700.00 and up, but I would like to see Samsung make some decorative frames for a reasonable price. We would like a way for the frame mount to pull forward and swivel. Other than all of that, we love it. :)

    Got a great deal on a 2021 model. It was a store demo and the last one they had. The mat finish on the 2021 isn’t great and probably should have gone with the 2022. Software is crap and using the Smart Things app on an iPhone is a disaster. Perhaps it’s better on an Android device.
    Bought this just to display my photographs and haven’t figured out how to easily get them on to the TV. Have heard putting them on USB and plugging into the back of the One Connect box is the easiest. Will give that a try.
    Would love to get another one to hang in portrait mode. I understand that is an option in the 2023 models.

      Just to reply to one of your queries (I realise this is a bit late) - the app on Android is also rubbish (I assumed it was better on iphone). Hard to believe that Samsung put so much into the hardware of this TV and so little into the software. Getting a family pic up on the TV shouldn't be nearly as complicated as they make it.

As an art display the 2022 is absolutely stunning, the absence if reflection is incredible, but in low lighting the 2021 model offers better tv viewing

      In the Sonos app, there’s a way to configure your remote to the Playbar.

    • @SimonAbrams
      @SimonAbrams ปีที่แล้ว

      @@filipineaux I figured it out - the problem is that the Samsung remote uses IR to trigger the volume change; because my One Connect box is enclosed in a media console, it wasn't getting the IR signal. I had to get an IR repeater, so now everything is all good!

    • @filipineaux
      @filipineaux ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SimonAbrams Interesting…I thought the One Connect Box received the IR signal from the sensor on the TV itself? Also, the Sonos Playbar has a remote sensor on it as well to receiver remote signal. All without having to use an IR repeater…?

    • @SimonAbrams
      @SimonAbrams ปีที่แล้ว

      @@filipineaux I thought so too! My Chromecast remote, for example has no problem controlling the volume on my Playbar, but the Sonos remote did. I eventually found a forum post somewhere (can't remember the details), but there's something to do with the Samsung remote using Bluetooth for some functions and IR for others; the long and short of it was that the workaround was an IR repeater!

  • @inglescomivan

    There are few negatives after all. The reason I bought it is that it'd be the only way I'd talk my wife into paying 600$ on a TV so I could play ps5 appropriately. Not that the tv became also part of the furniture it was much easier for her to accept it. Lmao!
    On top of that, its rivals are a bit more expensive and don't provide such a cool tool as art mode nor this innovative layout. So, The Frame TV was an easy pick when I compared it to other choices.
