We just bought the 2022 version and wow it’s awesome. Highly recommend it. We had people over and they did not know it was a TV as the art looked so real!!!!
I had same experience with LS30B model (October 2022 version); in a Samsung showroom I walked passed a wall painting, then later on when the sales person took me there I asked him 3 times before presentation, "is that really a TV". I bought it because it doesn't strain my eyes at all. Neo QLED next to it was showing more whitish picture(may be due to extra brightness).
I just got the 65” 2022 version and the matte finish is amazing. The apartment I’m in has huge windows and glare is definitely an issue. There is really no glare at all on this TV even when the sun is beaming right through.
I'm glad I found your video. I was about to order the 2021 version and was aware I would have to live with some glare. Now I'm getting the 2022 version...even though it's almost twice the price ;-). I "need" it as an image frame only since I will place it above my living room couch. So the reduced glare ist very important, especially, since light will hit the TV from two directions. For TV I already got a 2018 LG OLED model.
This is amazing. I made tv art screensavers and they look so realistic on the QLEDs and I am impressed by how easy it is to turn any Samsung tv into Art display.
When I bought the SAMSUNG EL MARCO, I didn't think I could have a good movie experience because of its matte screen, but I was really surprised. Well, everything looks incredible. I had seen and seen different models, some with micro led; but I told myself that if the difference in price was not so much, it is because the visual experience must be good, it also has all the features of high-end televisions, 120HZ screen, Dolby Atmos, 40W of power, Commands by Voice, One Connection, Artificial Intelligence and QSimphony for a more immersive experience. The truth is that it is a product that I recommend blindfolded and because of the matte screen, what I have noticed is that it does not cause visual fatigue, because what use is such a bright television if it is for your room and it will be less three meters away. So I went with the 65'' version and it's beautiful. It was love at first sight.
I read they fixed the Art feature and made it quicker + its not glossy and mat to look like a painting. I was gonna get the 2021 until I read that, then went 2022
Really helpful thank you - we are looking to buy a new TV and happy to trade the best picture for something aesthetic. However - in the UK the 2021 Frame 43" is £849 and the 2022 one is £1,299 (less £100 discount so £1,199). They are both expensive and to justify another £350ish on the 2022 seems a huge amount. I know its personal choice, and I can see the matte finish is an improvement, but.....£350 more; is it really worth a circa 40% premium - decisions decisions.....
Good video this helped me make a decision to get the 43 inch 2021 version I was able to purchase it with bezel included for $599 and it was heavily discounted ! Thanks
Great video. Thanks. I personally think that with the matt screen the picture quality for video viewing will definitely go down. In terms of picture display, its definitely be an improvement.
Thanks for your inspiration. Using Powerpoint I created a mat for each painting by picking up a color from the painting itself for the mat and using a thin black or white inner line. I had to reformat the .jpg to 3840 x 2160 to override the auto-mat function of the Frame which was easy.
Liked your video. But I do disagree that since this is a lifestyle TV we should just go buy an OLED or a NEW QLED if we want a great image as this is not what this TV is supposed to be. To me, the Frame looks great when it's off and the OLED/NEO QLED look great when they are on. As someone who wants both, I have been frustrated for years that there is no option. The Samsung Ambient Mode is a wholly inadequate attempt to have some Frame options available in a great image TV. I wait every year with the hope the Frame will come out with actually great (not just acceptable) image quality because in the end, having an amazing TV watching experience is really why I'm buying the TV in the first place. Sadly, it seems 2022 will be another year we have to make the choice of good on or good off. And to that and, the Frame will lose out again for me.
Well, looks like you actually agree that a choice must be made between The Frame or great image quality, that is all he said. Of course an option that fits every criteria to the max would be the best if avaible.

Thanks for your video. You show a painting with a wide deep blue mat outside of a thin white mat. Is this an option within Frame or did you create the mats yourself? I find paintings that I like on the Internet or sometimes use microsoft wallpaper pictures and use Powerpoint to tweak the size or crop or force a textured effect with a thin black line frame and save the file as .jpg. Then I use the white mat in settings within Frame, but your presentation looks more authentic. How did you do the blue/white mat?

Based on the history of this model, review samples should begin appearing in late March or early April with retail availability to follow in May and June. Initial pricing will of course be the highest for this run at launch time, with discounts likely beginning in the September timeframe. Note that there are a couple of new features included with the 2022 models that aren't getting a lot of airplay: the One Connect boxes are now about 20% smaller and support for rotation is now included for the larger models (> 43") using a new mounting bracket.
Thank you for the informarive video . I have a question : Is it a good idea to buy it and use it only for displaying art pictures ?? I am not going to use it as a Tv , the reason i am asking because that's the only large digital frame available in my country
The first thing I notice on this review is the product placement of the orange can. The next thing I notice is that you have a great house cleaner. The third thing to notice is how many times does this reviewer say things like "amazing","cool" & "great". Shame.
So I just bought a 2021 model I think (Best Buy Model:QN55LS03AAFXZASKU:6451485). I already mounted it in my bedroom and while it's nice, I was disappointed that in art mode, the frame still has a little bit of backlight on the lowest brightness setting. When I was at Best Buy looking at the displayed model I was so impressed with the artwork mode because it really did look like a matte painting. Could they have been displaying the 2022 model in March already? Did it look more matte because of the store's brighter indoor lighting?
I don’t think they would of had the new models by now. It may be the lighting in your room compared to the store. My tv has a bit of backlight too but I’ve gotten use to it and it doesn’t bother me. Most people don’t even notice the backlight till I tell them it’s a tv. Sucks it doesn’t perform in your bedroom’s lighting.

It does have some chrome cast capabilities. Like casting to TH-cam. Some apps don’t work with it like TSN so I bought a chrome cast of my own
Can it play music while on art mode or ambient mode like it does on the serif TV with NFC or bluetooth? I have been searching all over the internet for that question; no one mentioned about it on any review videos.🤷♂
It doesnt. At least not in the model I have 2021.
@@fucklespoules thanks 😊
Can you use a tilt wall mount for a frame tv
The mount that comes with it can be at a slight angle. You can only use the mount that comes with the tv I believe.
is there a good place that you download your digital art from? Been looking for awhile, but everything that I find is lower quality .jpg.
Hey Cytoxan. I make a lot of them at home, a bunch of trip photos and art made on the iPad. There also is some free options. The one in the thumbnail was available for free on the tv!
How did you connect yours w/o wires visible?
My wire is visible down the wall in the other room.
Where is the cable @0:14?
in 2022 ambient mode available ?
You can't get rid of their apps and they take up all your data and samsumg won't let you delete them
does the powerpiont need to behind the wall
No, it’s designed to go down the wall
What model (2020, 2021 or 2022) its better? Im thinking buy 2021 model. Thx!
I’d get the 2022 if your area is highly prone to glare, if not just get the 2021 on sale!
@@BrotherBrown hi! Yes! the model 2021 its on sale and for that reason I was thinking of buying it, or better wait for the 2022 model? thx!
@@bliztball8637 Had the 2021 version but had it replaces with the 2022. A lot of glare and sunlight in my living room.
@@johnvandenbos Hi! the last weekend i installed my frame 2021, its very amazing TV! its true that de mate screen that 2022 model is very nice on place with too much light o sun, but for my bedroom im so happy with the 2021 model and i can bouth it cheap :) thx!
@@bliztball8637 Here in The Netherlands the 65" 2022 is 1100 euro more expensive compared to the 2021 version which happens to be on sale. But my room has so much sunlight I really started to get annoyed by it after having the TV on my wall for about a week. It's now replaced with the 2022 edition. A lot of cash, but I figured I will have to enjoy my TV for another 5 to 10 years form now :-) In my bedroom I don't think I would have been a problem at all. 2021 is a GREAT TV too!
Do you know if the wall mount can come out swivel? I cannot put the TV directly in front of me but I want the thin wall for picture and able to swivel to watch TV.
You’d have to buy a different wall mount but I don’t think the TV accepts a standard mount unfortunately
Will my Commodore 64 work with this?
Since there is a competition pro plug at the side of the box, I assume, yes, it is possible.
No. The commodore 64's graphics are too much for this TV to handle. Sorry.
Why is one of the shelfs not straight? Whyyyyhyy!!!
Haha, my cat jumped on it and ruined it 😂😂 didn’t fix it before I made the video.
When does the 2022 come out?
I’m not sure, I’m hoping before the summer but it might be in the fall.
@@BrotherBrown I hope soon!!! You convinced me into a 2022...
@@jill_fran hope you can wait it out and get one! The new screen is gonna be a nice upgrade.
Note that Samsung is now accepting pre-orders with deliveries beginning April 8.
says no gap while showing 1/4" gap...
I wonder how much energy it consumes if it’s in constant “art object” screensaver mode?
That was my very first thought. Is this thing ever really off?
It turns off when there is no motion. You can set the interval. I have mine for 15 minutes of no movement
@@BrotherBrown Thanks
WEN 2022?
I’m moving in 1-3 months I hope before then!
I hope so too! I may be in the fall but I’m not 100% sure. It may be worth the wait though!
@@BrotherBrown Looks like 2022 is released!
@@MatthewLigotti sweet! That was pretty fast!
They had the no glare technology the whole time, they just made u waste your money buying the inferior one first- much like iphones
Thank you for the informarive video .
I have a question :
Is it a good idea to buy it and use it only for displaying art pictures ??
I am not going to use it as a Tv , the reason i am asking because that's the only large digital frame available in my country
Probably not the best use of money but if you have no other option and it’s really valuable to you then don’t really have another option.
En chile esta a 550 dolares la de 55 pulgadas
The fact that you said the picture quality was acceptable put me off....
All good Andrew. What’s acceptable for you?
ok
Top 10.000 muito bonita
Are you sponsored by Michael Buble?
Haha I wish 😅
The first thing I notice on this review is the product placement of the orange can. The next thing I notice is that you have a great house cleaner. The third thing to notice is how many times does this reviewer say things like "amazing","cool" & "great". Shame.
At first if you do not succeed, try, try again. I appreciate the feedback 👍 Have a good one Richard.
??????? ✌️
@@BrotherBrown Had the 2021 version but had it replaces with the 2022. A lot of glare and sunlight in my living room. Problem is solved now.
Trade up!
Great video!
