Need to sort something out soon as i intend to head up after i finish work on the fridays then car camp at the starting car park or if weather permits head up to some bealach and overnight from there would be great if it works. Doing ma heid right in to be honest never ever had a decent kip in a tent only once was next to Corrour Bothy only cos i was gubbed lol! Cheers Andy all the best mate, peter 👍

    Nice one Peter good to see you back on The Munro's. Always a Munro's and Corbett's highlight seeing you tackle the peat hags and bogs, Peter 😄Sorry to see no one knicked your tent so you had to hump it out. Seriously though mate great to see you on the trail again, I'm back north in a couple of weeks, can't wait. Take care. Mick.

    I remember the peat hags from Beinn Bhrotain - nasty things! I was hoping to do Carn Bhac as a bike n hike, but never got round to it. It looks very scenic, especially in the middle of the night with that strange northern midsummer glow. Maybe if you'd had more sleep the peat hags wouldn't have felt so bad. Bet you were glad to get back on the track!

    • @MUNROSnCORBETTS
      @MUNROSnCORBETTS  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Natalie. Yeah it was lovely during the night with that distant yellow/pink glow that never seems to fade looks magical :) Oh yes i was relieved to get back on that track Peat Hags are so annoying i have a habit of falling in them from time to time and the smell............!!!

  • @ScotsWildcamper
    @ScotsWildcamper 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Good to see you camping again Peter, maybe if you camp more you'll get uesd to sleeping in a tent. Nice weather, it's a worthwhile trade of..... the cold for dry clear conditions. Great when you've got it all to yourself. Those underfoot conditions remind me of the Cheviots. The gorms never disappoint. Another one ticked off, hope you get alot more done this year. ATB.

    • @MUNROSnCORBETTS
      @MUNROSnCORBETTS  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Aye i need to fine tune it a bit. Camping at a car park or near the start of a walk would be better i think as i could take my bigger tent and the quilt and pillows i have on my bed i have also bought a big blow-up mattress so i would maybe get better sleep with that. The Phoxx I is maybe for low level good weather camping and Andrew(Hermit Hill) did warn me about it right enough serves me for no listening lol! But i need to just persevere and get on with it as its a better idea leaving on the friday after work rather than the 3-30am alarm call and long drive up the A9 on the saturday morning. Yeah it was good up there Eddie as you say all to myself and that night time view was something else the more i think off it even the Peat Hags are ok as well..........well maybe lol! Thanks once again for watching mate you off oot soon?
